  2. Right. The muscles/shoulder joint kinda come and go in twinginess, either old injuries or new horrors. I was moving heavy junk all weekend and maybe got it inflamed, doesn't feel like I bashed the elbow and forgot. Though as swellings go, it's nothing compared to how my balls swollt up half a year ago Got an oncologist appointment Wednesday. I'll tell her about it and let her worry about what to do. May be some cancer drug side effect. Anyway, the sore shoulder goes back more than a decade, on and off. Maybe I can snag me some physical therapy with She-Wolf Ilsa.

Eastside wasn't terrible, but it didn't exactly blow my doors off. I'd rank it a notch below Truth, Pinkerton's, and Feges. More like J Bar M. That being said, it was a mobile pop up so that may have had something to with it. I'd happily eat there again, but I wouldn't wait in line for it (not that I waited in line for it this time, I didn't). If the other spots I mention are an 8 or 9, this place is probably a 6.5 or 7.
  4. I always thought of the Angels of Trout and Ohtani as stars and scrubs. I always thought the Astros super power was they never played a bunch of (any really) scrubs during the golden years (in addition to developing pitching guys out of thin air). This year it got scrubby b/c of absurd amount of injuries, many of which are of the variety you wouldn't expect.
  5. I think dick stroker might be a satirical account
  6. Yep - exhibit A that a middling coach over his head with more money isn’t going to lead to better results
  7. in our office we've called this "Goreville" for the past couple of decades.
  8. How are you doing today, ye People of Walmart? Still fkn triggered, is my guess. May you continue to be exactly who/what you hate! Remember to stay in your bubble/circle jerk because faith comes by hearing, lmao. Oh, the irony. Cheers!
  9. That’s why I’m trying to not over-schedule 😀
  10. Not sure what that has to do with him not having a U.S. tour due to fears ICE would be grabbing his fans. Or, do you think the crowd at the Super Bowl is going to be full of Bad Bunny fans that aren't here legally?
  11. EDIT: of course that's parody. I'm an idiot. "Dick Stroker"
  12. Stars and scrubs is in reference to an old Baseball Prospectus team building article and it’s more in reference to how to best optimize payroll across the team than as a judge of talent. We have a fairly mature roster with the veterans getting paid market, a few cost controlled assets with potentially large surplus values like Brown or maybe Smith, and a few JAG’s that need to be replaced once they get expensive (Dubon, Meyers). Dubon is probably worth it on a team with a lower payroll or less established veterans in the infield.

  14. Texadelphia just opened a new location here in Garden Oaks. I don't have much hope for it long term, but I need to try and go a few times before they shut down. Still, here's to hoping.
  15. Alas..
  16. Sark is at the bottom of the Colorado River. We have to roll the dice a bit.
  17. Snapcount tracker for ATM from the Auburn game. Notice how little depth is being deployed by these guys. An injury here or there and they really start looking proper fucked.
  18. I mean, that's a pretty good starter kit of photo cards for my new party game, "Closeted self-loathing homosexual or date-rapist?" So, thanks.
  19. Right there with you man. I've got 52 years rooting for the Americans in everything hard-wired into my brain -- but I think it finally came to a head during the Ryder Cup on Friday and Saturday. Trump showing up and most of the US team openly slurping him off coupled with their disastrous play led into Saturday's bloodbath and ridiculous US crowd treatment of the Euros might've ended that. I was low-key rooting for the Euros on Sunday but equal parts enthralled by the US making an amazing run back from the brink. My wife openly screamed in joy in the house when Lowry's putt at 18 found the bottom of the cup. At least I'll go out doing something I like with people who are cool. Thankfully most of "my" musical artists are woke liberals. Most of Hollywood that is worth a shit is too. Another positive is that my all-time favorite pro franchise (SA Spurs) was basically built by Pop, one of the most "woke" dudes in sports.
  20. That government would rock.
  21. It didn't work with Florida and Billy boy.
