  3. Organized resistance is like planting a tree. The best time to plant it was 30/20/10 years ago. The next best time is today. I’m heartened that flickers of recognition are spreading, even if I don’t yet have the shade to enjoy.
  4. I’m inspired by Clara Luper who almost single handedly improved Oklahoma City civil rights, while doing it peacefully. If you can get a bunch of dumb ass racist Okies to change, then it ought to work elsewhere.
  5. Right? Pointing out glaring deficiencies and supporting your statements with data is hardly stirring up crap.
  6. Again, there are millions of loud and proud Christians who are (were?) infinitely less popular than Charlie Kirk. The difference is most of them haven't made a career of owning the libs, with a "Jesus" cherry on top. He allowed people to be their worst selves while feeling good about it.
  7. Strong, tough Gilda weak, pitiful Gilda "I voted for Trump and am still on the fence about whether that was a good move." Meanwhile, I've accrued 1 million in debt and have started seeing a therapist due to the financial strains. "The world needed someone gullible and stupid, so God made a farmer." Economic genius, Don.
  8. Thought I had replied in this thread. Guess it was another thread. Gist being yeah I'll be here for various reasons. Let me just say I'm questioning all that.
  9. It would be my last choice of car for murder related activities. Problem is, even older cars with no GPS still have stored data for every vehicle function. You need to use a really old car with super basic computer control. PM me for details.
  10. The Motte and Bailey Fallacy. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motte-and-bailey_fallacy
  11. Yes, she was on the watchlist released over the summer. Typically, you need to be on a title contending team who makes the Final Four to win the award. Stafford - .317, 4.23kps, .35 aces per set (9 aces to 4 errors), 3.23 dps (as a 6 rotation OH). I think her digs make up for her blocking (5 blocks, 0.19 blocks per set) For goodness sake, she has a double double in 5 of 7 matches 12/15 against Creighton 24/12 against Rice 18/10 against Stanford 20/18 against Louisville 15/13 against TCU She was a dig away against ASU (12/9) and a kill away in the Wisconsin match (9) from having 7 straight games of double digit kills
  12. I'm positive you stole that from somewhere....but who cares, it's perfect. Bingo. Modern American "Christianity" is primarily used as a shield from criticism of abhorrent beliefs.....that are actually directly at odds with what the Jesus of the Gospels actually preached. And also bingo. There are many, many Christians who simply repeat the message of the Gospels (you know, the texts that actually make Christianity....Christianity): "When did we see you a stranger and invite you in?" “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Fuck, even if they want to stick to the OT, Leviticus wasn't ambiguous: “When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not ill-treat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt." But....those aren't the people these Charlie Kirk Christians admire and idolize. Nope. They choose Charlie because he is DIFFERENT than the people who say those things. Contrast with, apparently, America's most important Christian of the modern era: This is not some side-issue for Charlie. It's not like "Charlie was a really good Christian, but he had a weakness for betting on the ponies, or he cussed a lot, or he loved the ladies, and stepped out on his wife." Nope. That's a CORE BELIEF for him, and for those who support him. They don't support Charlie in spite of that....they support him BECAUSE of it, while simultaneously saying that they love him because he was a good Christian. Who just happened to preach ideas that are unambiguously 180 degrees in perfect opposition to plainly stated Christian values and beliefs.
  13. These are both true. However, probably the largest reason for the banking deficit has more to do with them not having money to deposit. X customer withdraws $100, but if there is no customer Y to deposit money, you create negative balance. I think this could be a combination of a Depression era bank run combined with with the Consumer Debt recession of 2007. I'm okay with that.
  14. I am unaware of any public threats--or private, for that matter--coming from the Biden administration to shut down Facebook.
  15. When the fascists in charge, guys like Pence, Romney, and Dick Cheney (and probably W if he ever bothered to open his fucking mouth) all seem like Bernie Sanders by comparison. It's horrifying by itself.
  16. The only way to treat a bully is to punch them in the nose. I would start with ICE. Every masked Gestapo agent needs to be outed and harassed. Every unattended ICE vehicle needs to be vandalized. Mix in a few raids on ICE detention centers and a few exploding ICE offices. We are well passed the time for passive resistance.
  17. Had RocketMoney cancel it. Let's see if that works. Same
  18. Must have been Club Mirage.
  19. If you live in Houston, KTRK ABC13 is an owned and operated station meaning that it is owned by the Disney corporation. Give them a ring at 713.666.0713 to express your displeasure. And, no, I did not make that phone number up.
  20. And I'll be equally honest (thanks for your honesty and vulnerability as well) in that I think most people that I've talked to about the situation since last week (I literally had someone in my social circle I didn't even know knew who Charlie Kir was tell me he was his hero), they admire Kirk because he was a lion in defending a culturally unpopular belief system and way of life (and one that is impossible to adhere to as human beings on earth, full of hypocripsy and temptations) and they saw him as their champion of faith in a culture that is counter to everything they believe in. In that way maybe we are saying something similiar? I think that what made him more popular than the other millions who fervently defend faith was that most of these people from what I can tell, aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, and most are addicted to the internet and the algorithm where Charlie Kirk reigned supreme. He was like the Mr. Beast of Christian short form video or something from what I gather in being prolific and popular.
  21. Not The Ritz. I was pretty much a fixture there in the 90's. My roommates worked there.
  22. Most of these guys are way past their prime!
  23. Yes, I'm aware the Biden administration flagged covid misinformation for Facebook. That's not responsive to my questions.
