We live in a chaotic world full of mental illness in pockets and genres that I didn't even know existed. I couldn't dream up this scenario or the players to this if I tried. -

Deep in their hearts, most of them know better, but their entire worldview is built on victimhood. They need to at least feel persecuted, or the magic doesn't work, and more importantly, the money doesn't flow.

I get Carolina. They are a disaster and he had no chance. But in Cleveland, he got them their first playoff win since the mid 90s. He wasn't terrible there. Cleveland had talent to work with on offense. And the fully guaranteed contract to Watson might be the worst contract in sports history. -
Huckleberry. But to recap. Cole was with the organization all sesaon, but wasn't added to the 40 man roster until after the deadline. He needs a exemption for a injured player currently on the 40 man roster, which shouldn't be a problem. To be eligible for an MLB postseason roster, a player must be in the organization's organization as of 11:59 p.m. ET on August 31 and must have been on the 40-man roster or the injured list (IL). Players acquired through waivers, trades, or any other means after this deadline are ineligible for the postseason roster. Key Criteria for Eligibility: August 31 Deadline: The player must be part of the team's organization by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 31. 40-man roster: Players must have been on their team's 40-man roster by the deadline. Injured List: Players on the team's injured list (including the 60-day IL) as of the August 31 deadline are also eligible. In-Season Suspension: A player who was suspended for a performance-enhancing drug (PED) violation during the season is ineligible for postseason play that year. Exceptions for Special Circumstances: A player who doesn't meet the Aug. 31 criteria can still become eligible if they were in the organization on Aug. 31 and are replacing an injured player on the roster. The replacement player must have served the minimum time required for activation off the injured list (e.g., 10 days for the 10-day IL, 60 days for the 60-day IL).

Get these flying over quite a bit, at lower levels in the 5k-10k ft range. Just pilots getting hours, but still cool as hell flying over. Apologies for the pic quality, best I could get.

I understand about 20% of that. It's weird as shit. It's totally fucked up. But I've checked the timeline...and we're in America, 2025. So....there's like a 95% chance that's entirely fucking accurate. We are a messed up fucking country/planet right now. -

This is very close to my read on it, as well. We want to superimpose our political biases on this senseless act, but the truth is that politics had almost nothing to do with it. -

You know, I wanted to go back and correct this statement I made. I HAVE made reference to the ethnicity of Cowboys fans in the past - specifically, to hispanic Cowboys fans. I've made that reference with respect to.....how much they've assimilated. As in, you've got a group of dudes who work their ass off all week, and then on Sunday, they want to fire up the grill, pop open a few cold ones with their buddies, and watch los Cowboys. That's as American and Texan as it fucking gets. FFS, we should all want to hang with those dudes (see, I like hanging with Cowboys fans because I can drink their beer and laugh at their misfortune). So "have you noticed that Cowboys fans include a buncha mexican dudes" is evidence for the EXACT THING that Charlie Kirk specifically bitched about - seriously, he used these exact words or close to them: "they come here and they don't assimilate." How much more can you assimilate into American and Texan culture than grilling meat and drinking cold beer while watching the NFL on Sunday? There's only one thing they can't do, and that's the thing that he holds against them: they can't turn white. And THAT is what the Charlie Kirks of the world mean by "they don't assimilate." -
Sneakers is great. I rented it like a dozen times before bought it on iTunes. Pretty much the perfect late night movie after football.

These things can all be simultaneously true. - Arch is shitting the bed, is extremely inconsistent, but it is primarily mental/nerves. - Some of our more talented and/or experienced players on offense have been injured and held out. It is appropriate to wonder about the balance between letting guys rest for a long season and needed live reps to build execution. - There are position groups, primarily OL, where there is a talent and/or development issue that can't be fixed during the season. I do think they are in a try everything and anyone mode for these three games, knowing that they aren't in actual danger of losing. They should get more efficient when they tighten up the rotation and gameplan for the opponents. Arch may completely meltdown and get benched for the year, he could come back after the bye looking like he did last year, or most likely something in between. Buckle up.
