  1. Past hour
  2. Man that shit was EPIC!!
  3. It’s just a friendly. But the defense looked good. We was under attack at times and we was just gettin in the way of the ball. Was great to see
  4. It was good to hear Bobby mention Ffrench and Lockett as making great progress since the spring.
  5. I am curious how Kwame really feels about it though. Wish he'd stop sugar coating his thoughts.
  6. When my son was just a little slug, i.e., 2-3 years old, he enjoyed listening to certain songs in his old man's music collection. One of said songs was Whipped Cream. His dad enjoyed looking at the CD cover while the music played.
  7. I was living in Kennewick, Washington when Saint Helens blew. Being east of the Cascades the weather is always sunny and clear there, and when I woke up that morning, deeply hung over, I walked out of my apartment to drive to get coffee at the convenience store and instantly saw the several inches of ash covering the ground and my car. Giant, dark rolling clouds filled the sky, and I instantly assumed there had been a nuclear war, that the ash was fallout, and I would go back inside and turn on the TV and figure out when I would die from radiation. It was quite the relief to realize it was only a volcano natural disaster. One thing nobody talks about now was that the ash fell in such fine particles that everyone’s radiators immediately became clogged and cars overheated, and had to stop. I was a court administrator for the Benton Franklin County Superior Court at the time, and trials were conducted in the town of Prosser about 20 miles away, as they were the county seat. It took many weeks before people could drive 20 miles and not have their cars overheat. This included most first responder vehicle vehicles as well. It was definitely a thing that impacted everyone in the state for a while if they were in the plume penumbra.
  8. I agree with you that it's stupid to waste your vote on third party candidates in general elections. But one must ask why this even happens? Did the Democrats squander an opportunity to build credibility? Why do so many people stay home or throw their votes away?
  9. I'm just here for the cock talk.
  10. very dumb. worthy of a chuckle.
  11. Murderbot is hilarious.
  12. Apparently she knew his finances/will were a mess and didn't want to be involved in the fight for $$ when he passed.
  13. Not really fall camp related, but OSU DT Eddrick Houston just went down in practice with an apparent lower leg injury. Couch pyros already losing their shit as he's arguable the most irreplaceable part of their D.
  14. Also, JP Sears, a dude I perpetually overrate. Pads gave up De Vries, who's a consensus top 20 prospect: https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=devrie000leo
  15. Wellfleet and that's really all you need to know.
  16. In the Bobby and Gerry post-practice show, Bobby talked about Josiah Sharma more than any other player. They probably could have talked for 30 minutes on the DL alone. Bobby's comp for Sharma was Shaun Rodgers and T'Vondre Sweat, except Sharma is more developed than Sweat and has longer arms (and Gerry mentioned his ankles).
  17. damn so no tailgate in Columbus?? me and my group of friends were going to show up in our Mad Max outfits
  18. Get after those single match tickets now. From the FB group: Apparently they are reserving the vast majority of the Stanford tickets for BMD. There were only a couple of sections open for public purchase, and they were not great sections at all - visitor end line and a sliver on the home sideline. As much as I would like that game to be a massive success so they do it again and bring more eyes to the program, I'm kinda hoping it flops, because that is some serious bullshit.
  19. it's true insofar that it's exactly what has happened to date. but what is not true is that the two-party system cannot be upended with the creation of a viable third party. the problem is one hasn't presented itself yet. what we've been given over time are offshoots or extreme detractors from the two main parties. what we need is another party that isn't trying to be what the other two aren't, but tries to be the best parts of the two and pick up what they both lack.
  20. The status quo It all needs to be burnt to the ground.
  21. It is true in some races (giant douche vs. turd sandwich general elections of which there are many especially in Texas) but I agree with your broader point that we need a party that isn't full of shit. The question is whether to form a new one like Corbyn is doing in the UK and AMLO did in Mexico or to try and take over an existing party like what happened with the republicans here.
  22. ^^^good oysters Houston location is too expensive to justify going there unless it's happy hour
  23. Who benefits from progressives voting for Jill Stein or Ralph Nader?
