  1. Past hour
  2. Among Sun Tsu's many instructions for warfare was to "know yourself and know your enemy." If this was Hamas's plan from the outset--adn I think there's plenty of reason to believe that it was--then Hamas is demonstrating that it knew its enemy. It's a pretty serious indictment of Israeli leadership, culture, and society that it is living up to Hamas's expectations of how it would react to October 7.
  3. If you're on the Gaia side I recommend a stop at a restaurant and bar called Dona Maria. They also have a cigar lounge. Great views, deck, very comfortable and spacious, unlike the small, cramped restaurants that you find next to the river on the Porto side. Very reasonably priced, too. It's next to the Hilton. We went to a port house closer to Douro, Quinta do Crasto. They offer a catered lunch, tour and tastings. It was fun but I'm not a port lover. In Porto, the gelato shop Niva right down the street from Bolhão market is actually incredible. It looks super touristy though. There's one also in Lisbon.
  4. Thanks, now I can't unsee mama's mustache. Egad
  5. The day they had the press conference to reveal the stupid uniforms in 1997 I was in the front row at the Student Union and I leaned over to a friend who covered Pitt for one of the papers and my quote was, “those are fucking awful”. They were indeed awful. Horrible. I had to be careful around people because i help out at games but, whenever i was within earshot of Pederson I had Tourette’s and I would scream “stripes on pants” “stripes on helmet”, etc. Tyler Palio got reamed out because he put a Script Pitt on his helmet of the Senior Bowl. I said many other things to anyone who would listen. Thankfully, we eventually found our way back from the shittiest uniforms ever.
  6. Why my heavens! I have never seen such boorish behavior in all of my life! If I were wearing pearls I'd be clutching those motherfuckers hard right now!
  7. Wow. You're going with the "Christ-killers" angle? For real?
  8. Bumped to say my first visit was indeed rectified by my visit today to 2M. The brisket was about as perfect as brisket gets. Perfectly cooked, the bark was thick and flavorful and tender as can be. I will dream good dreams. I get it. Top notch, no notes. This kicks 2M only slightly above Reese Bros only bc I belive the flavor and thickness of Reese's bark could be developed a bit more. All other metrics remain even.
  9. He fired his dog like a dog. He was the worst dog, a total disaster. I was doing him a favor by hiring him. His ratings are terrible. They say he's the worst dog ever. Very low-IQ dog. I barely knew him.
  10. When I die, I'm coming to your house.
  11. Honestly...I want one. Not sure what I would do with it. Probably stupid stuff.
  12. I think I'm starting to hate Stephen more than Jerry. At least with Jerry, shit is finite. We only have so many more years of dealing with his shit.
  13. Here's an odd sentence. We added a walk-on RB, formerly a LB at Stanford. Though the Texas Longhorns are at 85 scholarships with the elevation of Marshall Landwehr, they did make an addition at a key spot. Stanford running back Carson Berger is listed on the Texas Longhorns’ 2025 online roster. Berger, a member of the class of 2023 out of The Woodlands (Texas) John Cooper, was part of the Cardinal’s 2023 squad. He was listed as a 6-foot-0, 216-pound linebacker by Stanford in 2023. He was not on their 2024 roster. Texas lists Berger as a sophomore. His height and weight is 5-foot-11, 193 pounds. His bio only states “a first-year, walk-on running back who played the 2023 season at Stanford.“ He joins a room that features scholarship backs like CJ Baxter, Quintrevion Wisner, Christian Clark, Jerrick Gibson, Rickey Stewart Jr., and James Simon. Senior Colin Page is the only member of the walk-on corps in Chad Scott’s position group and is in his final year of eligibility. Berger was a two-time SPC state champion in the 3A division that features schools like Houston Christian, Trinity Valley, Fort Worth Country Day, Oakridge, Greenhill, Cistercian, and St. Andrews. He was also the SPC linebacker of the year in 2022. Berger was selected to the Houston Chronicle’s 2022 All-Greater Houston private school team. Walk-ons currently on the Texas roster include Carson Marshall, McCoy Bruce, Graham Gillespie, Ziky Umeozulu, Jackson Duffey, Isaiah Coleman, Tate Haver, Spencer Barnett, Brady Sarkisian, Eric Garza, Rick McBroom, Robert Sweeney, Brooks Kieschnick Jr., Gehrig Heil, Joe Tatum, Luke Dunham, Ridge Barker, Rett Andersen, Quinn Merritt, Remy Patson, Hamilton McMartin, Bryce Chambers, Hudson Powell, and Ty Boatright. Texas continues its preseason training camp with a light practice on Friday. The Longhorns will have their first scrimmage of camp on Saturday. Stay tuned to Inside Texas for the latest details.
  14. Cottage cheese is an excellent lean protein source. But, it has a surprisingly high amount of sodium.
  15. But unlike those you mentioned, Micah went to social media and wrote a mini novel, wanting to be traded. He's soaking this up just as much as Jerry, along with his corny podcast. Yes, fuck Jerry always and forever. So what that he wrote about it? Either it’s a bit they are both running (at Jerry’s insistence to manufacture drama/storylines/marketing) or it isn’t and Jerry finally ran into someone who wasn’t going to be PC about Jerry’s bullshit. either way it is 100% on Jerry. Could give two shits about Parson’s role in all of this.
  16. I'll be 41 next month. I feel this.
  17. We got a beta soy boy here!
  18. Dale’s new voice. It’s ok. Pitch/sound is close, but to me it's more off in the delivery/timing. My best guess, which is sprinkled with a ton of hope, is that there was little time to prepare for the new voice. So it’s possible it gets better in S15 with more time to study and work on dale’s character.
  19. LOL it’s worse than that. He only thinks they are on the same team. Narrator: They are not on the same team
