  1. Past hour
  2. Bill Clinton's presidential library probably has the largest collection of vintage Playboy Magazines in the world.
  3. I was watching Florio and Simms and apparently Cleveland really likes Gabriel - said the competition between he and Sanders hasn’t been close.
  4. Oh, that's beyond dispute at this point. It's a quid pro quo for the grant. What's a bit less clear is any voting/management rights the government will have. Even if it doesn't have voting rights, it owns enough to move the market, which might pose something of a threat.
  5. UTSA's highest attended games: 56,743 Inaugural game 2011 49,342 TXST 2023 42,071 Baylor 41,412 CUSA CCG 41,148 CUSA CCG 40,977 Oklahoma State 39,032 TXST 2012
  6. A lot of the early MMA guys were fucking lunatics who had plateaued before reaching the peak of their original disciplines. It wasn’t like now, there was a reason McCain called it “human cockfighting.” I think UFC I paid like $50k to the champ. Rampage Jackson for sure is in that category.
  7. I've been using a North Face Recon for some time. Great for just about everything. Use it for work, travel, etc., but it has constraints. First, or international travel, I feel like I am jamming everything I can in there and it seems less effective or efficient than it could be - and it can take a few minutes to find something. Second, it does not have that simple "slide over the handle of my roller bag" feature. I understand - it's not a travel bag. The "global briefcase" looks interesting. Packing cubes are the truth. It encourages (forces?) a certain level of disciplined packing which ultimately results in better organization (as you note). It saves space because you become disciplined and organized . Using rolled folding of clothes is encouraged by these cubes.
  8. I had completely forgotten about her
  9. Gideon certainly tried to catch that one ball with his nose
  10. Rolling with Gabriel and Sanders as the backups to a 40 year old QB is very Clevelandesque.
  11. Maybe he was unblocksble cuz our o line sucks 😭
  12. https://www.reddit.com/r/law/s/7cEQeDwq4w Didn't take long.
  13. Atlas is fantastic. They are not faking it. Strong rec.
  14. The Great Khan has spoken. Invade the steppes of the Northern Plains at your own peril
  15. Gotta say, I haven't watched tennis in a while; used to be hugely into it, but haven't really followed it in a decade... I'd forgotten how fun it was to watch.
  16. Lunch Pail carrying guys, would you say?
  17. Since when did the United States give a fuck whether an ally was a "democracy?" Speaking strictly of the Middle East, our staunchest ally going back to World War II has been Saudi Arabia, which is one of the very few countries in the world that makes no effort to style itself as a democracy or a republic. China calls itself a "people's republic," though it's anything but. North Korea protests too much, styling itself a Democratic People's Repubic. Saudi Arabia is like, "nah--fuck all that. We're an absolute monarchy goddamnit." I added that last part. But they're not alone. So is the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. So is the UAE. And Bahrain. And Kuwait. And Qatar. and Morocco. And before their absolute monarchies were overthrown, the Imperial State of Iran and the Ethiopian Empire were staunch American allies in the Cold War. And we won't even talk about some of the less savory dictatorships--I'm looking at you, Egypt and Pakistan. But it's not just the Middle East. Our love of dictators in Latin America is (in)famous. Just as notorious is our record in Asia, from the collapsed (South Vietnam) to the deposed (South Korea, the Philippines), to the still-going-strong (Singapore)--we fucking love our dictators. Nah, man--it's all the "pro-Western" bit. Or at least it was while the Cold War was going on. But now that justification is gone.
  18. Cleveland just sent Pickett to the Raiders so they won’t be rolling with 4 QBs.
  19. The "Kids that can't get into UT" thread has all the info one would need. Not necessary to start swatting schools.
  20. Quite fond of SMU legend Emmanuel Sanders.
  21. Pretty sure the Intel guy said no cash investment would be made for the stake
  22. Shane was awesome, too! First time for American Aquarium for me and I enjoyed the hell out of them. I’ve seen Wade probably around 30-40 times or more over the years. Their act was really good. when Turnpike went from “…before the devil knows we’re dead” to “Good Lord Lorrie” almost in a pen stroke, the crowd pretty well lost it. Was just perfect transition. and I’ve seen them in big venues and in small, but I’ve never heard them sound as good as they did Saturday. Cross was exactly as I expected….loud, brash, incredibly fun, funny, a little unpolished, and with plenty of guests. The guests were perfect. REK rolling up to sing Charlie made me drop a happy tear. Django and the whole crew ripping LA Freeway to close it was a nice cherry. Just a phenomenal night. glad y’all had a big time bud
  23. This gruntled me.
  24. Well, like Earl, he didn't need to have 2. I didn't listen to Rod explain the list but he may be giving how good guys were at their peak a lot of weight.
  25. The doc gives me newfound respect for Aikman. What a bad muthaf*cker. Michael Irvin too. Those guys were champions, man.
