Texas Football 2025 Fall Camp - Kicking the Sonofabitch In
PTINS replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
Conoco and Phillips are Oklahoma home grown oil companies started in the late 1800's. Jed Clampett sold his fortune to Mr. Brewster in Tulsa, the 'Oil Capital of the World." Oklahoma is similar to Texas in that there are multiple producing formations, stacked like pancakes. There are no dry holes in Oklahoma; the only question is how much produced water you have to get rid of. West Texas Intermediate looks like the oil after a 2 year oil change. The Oklahoma Sweet oil produced around Ponca City, Conoco's home, is a golden-greenish-yellow color, and looks Quaker State 10W-40 that comes out of a can. It's the second most popular thing to come out of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Candy Loving being the first. The smaller independent oil companies are the meat in potatoes in Oklahoma oil & gas production, many of which have had their fortunes since well before I moved there in the late 70's. Yes, there are plenty of trailer parks, just like any other place. But there is also an underlying wealth that is for them to know, and for you to find out about. Harold Hamm was the youngest of 13 kids born to a share cropper, didn't go to college, and started his own company at 21. He is worth ~ $18.5 Billion. Yeah, Harold didn't go to college, but I bet his kids did. Make no mistake, there is a lot of money up there. -
Who?

Yeah, if there's a heaven, Dobson probably shouldn't be allowed in.

See this is also a major issue everyone has in general. He 100% deserves criticism for that. He should absolutely be taken to task for the goofy ass argument he presented to justify not using the word. The problem is that people take any criticism whatsoever as "cancelling" someone, or claim that by criticizing one aspect of their commentary, we're "demanding perfection". It's bullshit. I'm the loudest anti-Israel poster on this site, I'm well aware of his idiotic refusal to use the word genocide to describe Israel's actions, but that doesn't mean I now hate Bernie Sanders because I disagree with him on the terminology. Just because most people can't take criticism without feeling "cancelled" doesn't mean we shouldn't do it.

Quick, somebody post the S2 trailer! I heard it dropped!

Mizzou obviously has a hatred for Kansas, but in football they always looked at the OU and UNL games as ones they "had to win" (and almost never did). -

I'm breaking my Cloak Room hiatus due to the breaking news that James Dobson is finally dead. I feel a little bit better about the world now that he's not in it.

welp, better conserve those ducats, eh buddy? it's amazing how much people will endure and still cling to their flawed ideologies. -
ONDS lagged a little bit the last couple days but is about to re-test the 4.00 barrier. Still time to get in!

I finally understand a benefit to packing cubes. When you are staying at many different places on a trip, requiring many packings and un-packings, the cubes make it faster and easier to stay organized. It also helps for keeping dirty clothes separate. Does it save space? No.

It's dumb as shit.

Hope this is true. Seems insane to play him one more game as had been widely reported. I'm really excited to see Eze get integrated into the team, we have lacked a player with his creativity since Gabriel Jesus first arrived at Arsenal. That has been the driving factor in why Arsenal struggled so much vs low blocks.

The two are inextricably intertwined, unfortunately.

Saw it on Tuesday night and thought it was great. I'll be flying into HTown on Halloween to see DEVO and the B-52's in the Woodlands on 11/2. There will be 4 or 5 of us in our jumpsuits and power domes. Here's a pic of me this past weekend at a music fest in the woods on the Oregon coast (Yachats) rocking the dome. Always a party when you're wearing one of these.

90% of the backpacks I see suggested on here are garbage but this has absolutely peaked my interest. I do a lot of 1 night biz trips to DFW now so this hits home

All this sky fairy stuff bores me. Get back to roasting the dotard. Now.

One of the more punchable characters in the whole series.

I mean the term has been around in higher ed since the mid 2000s. I first heard the term my 2nd year in grad school for my doctorate, which was around 2015-16. I was like “what the fuck does that mean?” But guess what also grew in popularity around that time? Social media. It came out of nowhere because more progressives in grad school were using it on socials which has such a wide reach. If it weren’t for that, the term would have stayed in its higher ed box.
