  1. As one of the few objective centrists on this political board (who even votes for Republicans periodically), I feel compelled to tell you that your post is complete shit. Objectively looking at all of the evidence that has been compiled over the last ten years indicates that the Republicans have conducted themselves in a shameful manner that created this Cold War between the parties. From unfair attacks on Obama, stalemates during his presidency, fake Fox News, to the improper stoppage of a Supreme Court nominee, the Republicans have demonstrated over and over that they have far less integrity than the Democratic party. The behavior of Trump by every measure imaginable is disgraceful and embarrassing, and yet the Republican Party has stood by and let it all happen. Shame on you. Shame on every other idiot like you that continues to support this crooked political organization. And since so many Republicans believe in God, then maybe justice will be served when you all burn in hell.

  4. When it comes to cash, Georgia is the dirtiest of all programs right now. They have the NCAA sniffing around now due to overstepping their bounds within the southeastern framework. When it comes to your life, LSU is the dirtiest program of all of them and it is not close. They have ended jobs for various families; foreclosed on houses; sent families away from charity and medical care; and used physical intimidation to keep players they want. As a result, if LSU really wants somebody and that somebody wants to go somewhere else, they have to plan it out carefully and have support beyond football for their familiars on the other side of the trade. Louisiana is easily the worst state, the worst culture, and responsible for the worst institution of higher learning within this country. They value and celebrate corruption, and use it as a weapon to get over on everyone else whenever it suits them. I enjoy a good visit to New Orleans for the food and gambling, but I never feel clean while I am there. It's a region covered in filth, and happy for it. For anyone who has never visited a 3rd world country, Louisiana is as close as you will ever come while still in the USA. LSU is a direct reflection of Louisiana's values, collective intelligence, and integrity, or lack thereof for each of those things. Don't ever doubt that you will not find the floor of what LSU is willing to do in order to fuck whoever they want for a player from their own backyard.

  10. Why do we want to out this guy? I get Trump fucked him because he's unstable and might reveal a deep cover agent's identity, but does the press revealing his identity do anything but put this guy and his family's life in greater danger? He was working for us, ya know. I don't get it.

  14. It ends when you die. Both politically and corporeally. This "Political Cold War" is the death rattle of a failed generation that was given everything and never contributed a thing. Only when you are dead are we going to be able to promulgate the reforms needed to fix our democracy. In other words, fuck off, donut boy.

  15. I am suddenly envisioning at the Trump Presidential Library a separate room - the "HALL OF RESIGNATION LETTERS" - resignation letters beautifully displayed on individual pedestals, preserved in protective glass and exquisitely well lit. they would be all there... Mattis, Bolton, McMasters, Tillerson, Priebus, Bannon, Kelly, Nielsen, Flynn, Porter, Spicer, Scaramucci, Hicks, Shine, Sanders, Bannon, Cohn, McGahn, Jackson, McMahon, Pruitt, Coats, Shulkin, Haley, Acosta, Comey, McCabe, Sessions, Rosenstein, Zinke, Price, etc (off the top of my head, excuse misspellings)

  19. Here is a real problem in Tahoe's discussion: when he talks about the "majority," he's talking about the Senate majority. But that is not representative of the majority of Americans. The majority of Americans voted Democratic. Three million more Americans voted for Hillary Clinton than voted for Donald Trump. And yet when the Senate minority--which actually represents the will of the majority of Americans--doesn't acquiesce to this Administration's incompetence, immorality, and abuse of power, they're being "dicks" and "assholes." Take that horseshit to the Fuckville County Trumpkin Party meeting along with a box of donuts, fuckface.

  22. Heard from someone at La Tech that traveled with the team. They had zero issues with the AC and they were never contacted by Ed Orgeron or LSU regarding anything like this. Orgeron made this shit up out of whole cloth, which is the typical cajun maneuver when the narrative is working against you. Just corrupt it and make your own bullshit up. If UT was worth one fuck when it comes handling its PR and the media, they'd be calling La Tech to confirm or deny the Orgeron story. Same for reporters. Beyond all of that, I wish we had done something to the fucking AC. It's perfect handling of fuckfaces from Louisiana. In any event, had there been no AC, the howling and whining coming out of their locker room from about 3pm Saturday forward would have been too loud for anyone to ignore.

  23. For decades, we were known as a very friendly environment for visitors and were mocked for it. Now, we are finally starting to flex our muscle and maximize our home field advantage and we are getting mocked for it. I know which side I'd rather be on. Keep it up, CDC.

  24. That’s because the Taliban suspected it was an Inside Job and OBL was innocent. All because Bush was addicted to opium and wanted to control the poppy fields. Of course he had a private stash. Behind every good man there's a woman, and that woman was Laura Bush, man, and every day, George would come home, she'd have a big fat bowl waiting for him, man, when he'd come in the door. She was a hip, a hip, hip lady, man.

  31. Fuck off and die with Briles, you worthless piece of shit. Art Briles never had any vision to lose. The stories of his players being miscreants and rape accusations go back to his earliest days of coaching in small Texas HS towns. Literally nothing has changed from Art Briles at Hamlin to Art Briles now, so there was nothing to "lose." He's never learned a single lesson at any step along the way, nor as he reformed, as is shown by his moving up the ranks of football. So fuck off with your misguided and completely wrongheaded absolution of a piece of shit. Jeffrey Dahmer was a man. Ted Bundy was just a man. Adoph Hitler (probably) never killed anyone PERSONALLY. Fuck you. Poor Art Briles, his humble pie comes in the form of a HS coaches shirt, where he can go back to being a god in a small Texas town, and generational wealth accumulated for himself and his family at the broken hearts and dreams of dozens of raped women. I have zero problem casting stones at Art Briles, because my sins don't include creating a culture of systemic rape and abuse of women. I look forward to judgement day. You're a piece of shit human being.

  34. If the stadium is anything like the big AC systems I worked on in a previous life there’s temperature sensors all over the place and the data is logged and saved for a week or two, and probably longer now that hard drive space is cheap. I would love for UT to dump the data of the temperature of the visitor and home locker rooms for Saturday.

  37. Thanks to the program of Alcoholics Anonymous and you people in this thread today makes 3 years completely sober. The days leading up to and immediately following this day always cause me to reflect back. It was about 4 years ago that I had enough and wanted to stop drinking. I was getting nothing positive from drugs and alcohol and I knew it, but my problem was I didn’t know how to quit. I think to most that sounds absurd but to my mind I didn’t know. I’d later find out all I needed to do was get off my ass and go to a meeting and talk to someone. I also knew I would need a medical detox but again how does that work? Just go to the ER, since I had not regular doctor, and say I need help. How does that factor into time away from work? I thought of all this as I laid in bed with shakes/tremors very similar to Leaving Las Vegas because I had been on more of bender than usual and had been about 7 hours without a drink. I reluctantly grabbed the vodka bottle because I knew it would stop the pain I was in and I didn’t want to call 911 and I didn’t want to die, so easiest path. Well I say I didn’t want to die but, in my mind, I think I was ok I was ok if that happened. Looking back on it I was doing very little to ensure my life continued on in general. Over that year I would have swings where I thought I was ok. I would have “good” days but in my sick and insane mind when I would have those days I would think I was the exception and I had figured out how to live as a severe alcoholic. I was not suffering obvious health concerns (I had gotten used to the tremors and anxiety as normal), work wasn’t an issue, and somehow, I had avoided any legal issues. I’m single so no family pressure so in my mind the life I was living was just me and working out. Something else I realized after I got sober was that it took me a lot of work when I was in my disease. A lot of work to make sure I put on my best face to not be found out and to fake “normal” activities to give the illusion I wasn’t a shut in. Plus, the constant worry of is today the day this flimsy ass house of cards I have chosen to live in finally crumbles down on me? I’m forever grateful to my mother for noticing it and ultimately pushing me to rehab. She saved my life. It was a few days before I surrendered that I took a weekend road trip to put on the appearance that I wasn’t a shut in and perhaps make myself feel that way. I would do that from time to time and all I’d do is drive somewhere, couldn’t trust flying because I didn’t want to get stuck on a plane without booze. But when I got to my location I would just lay there and get drunk but at least I wasn’t at home, right? Anyway, this time I took a nasty fall in public and didn’t have the strength to get myself back up. A very kind stranger came by and helped me across the street to the hotel and the staff there called 911 which I hid in my room from because I was sure it was jail. I did have to go the hospital later in the evening, after the scene in the lobby settled down, for a nasty cut on my elbow that wouldn’t stop bleeding. I knew then it was over. I called my mother and she came and got me and drove me home and pushed rehab on me the whole way. A few days later I surrendered and went to rehab. When I made the decision and said yes and realized it was really happening a sense of calm took me over, a high like I hadn’t felt in a long time, my fight with this was coming to an end. When I got there, I got a breathalyzer and blew a .349 and they called the ambulance and straight to the hospital where I then spent 6 days in ICU just to detox. They gave me only a 60% chance of surviving detox. Now here I sit 3 years later with a life like I never thought possible. I share this because I personally find strength when I hear others stories. I also share this because I see people in here say they are struggling and not sure what to do or those that have family and friends where they are seeking guidance. Just go to a meeting and talk to someone, they are willing to help. Don’t make it complicated like I did, it almost cost me my life. Plus, I also share a reminder to myself how low in life I was and that if I was to go back out I know right where I’d pick up at. Thanks for reading, listening and your sharing. It’s a great day to be sober!
