  1. She knew. She’s lying. It’s their most sacred sacrament - shameless lying.
  2. I’m gonna take an eleven million pound vehicle into this soft sand, what could go wrong? The only thing dumber than the Cybertruck is the people who buy them.
  3. Bookmark this, people. For real. Bookmark it. We long ago blew past surreal absurdity.
  4. We were at a cabin by canyon lake, thick cedar and oak around us, identified a crapload of singing birds by song. Carolina wren Goldfinch Tufted titmouse Cardinals Golden cheeked warbler (!) White eyed vireo Painted bunting Also saw hummingbirds, but couldn’t ID exact species. And of course mourning and white wing dove. Birds were singing and active all day, and there were a lot of em.
  5. It doesn’t matter whether Republican voters believe the lies. She wins either way. They either 1) believe the lies, or 2) love the lies for what they are, because they’re owning tha libz. Republican politicians lie because lying to their base is a win-win.
  6. You’re insane. You’ve just seen literally the only consequence he will face. He is going to come out of this AHEAD, not behind.
  7. Pro tip: every tent is a sex tent if you've got game. Confession: I am not welcome back at the circus.
  8. We were near Canyon Lake for the weekend, stopped at El Gallo in NB for breakfast. Holy shit. Big fluffy homemade tortillas. Chilaquiles, al pastor, and migas. 1/2 a taco is a damned meal - truly, we could have split that taco and been happy. And the chilaquiles and migas were only $3.60 each. The Al pastor was $5. Salsa was outstanding. Highly recommend. Folks in NB knew what was up, had a great crowd and busy drive thru.
  9. Greek haggis/ponce. I love every culture’s version of “let’s make these innards tasty.” And I approve.

This is the kind of thinking we’d expect from Doomlet. Apple, tree, and all that.
  11. They’re tacos who got their education from the school of hard knocks. They’re a bit rough around the edges. Most have questionable tattoos, and have made some other poor life decisions. But they’re gotdamn delicious.
  12. Beats me. In my experience, they’re usually run by a random south Asian family that may or may not be related to the south Asian family that owns the gas station they’re located in.
  13. The Norwegian perspective on WWII is fascinating, and not nuanced: fuck the Germans, and fuck Quisling, who we executed the shit out of. It’s pretty hardcore.
  14. I’m having a better year at the plate than Bregs.
  15. He’s already being lauded and supported out the ass online. It should be pretty plain to yall by now: in 2024 America not only is being openly racist ok, it is a trait to be admired and rewarded. We are officially there: racism is good, because minorities deserve it.
  16. Woulda been better if they were Dino nuggets.
  17. Krispy Krunchy is secretly some of the best fried yard bird around.
  18. Yep. 100% chance he makes a chunk of money off of this. 200% chance he becomes a celebrity in the MAGAsphere. 300% chance he gets a nice cushy gig when he graduates, hired by some MAGA car dealer or finance bro or some such. Evil wins in this timeline. It also pays.
  19. He has full legal ownership and title to a Supreme Court justice whose wife actively worked to overthrow the government so Trump could return as President for Life. You are what you openly support. He’s a traitor and should die a traitor’s death someday.
  20. I’ve seen packages of them prepped and ready to go at Costco. Love them, may give it a whirl.
  21. He means that if it is established that there are any negative side effects of a vaccine, even if a small number, that means vaccines are bad and the smart people are the ones who refused them. He is also someone who points to the statistically rare instances of seat belts hurting people as proof that only idiots wear their seat belt to preventing or death. TLDR; more arguments by people who are bad at math.
  22. They’ve missed the memo on civil disobedience. Causing a disruption, in violation of the law, IS a protest technique. It has some validity and power. It also has consequences. Mature and rational protestors should acknowledge both. My wife has participated in two significant clergy-based demonstrations (both connected to immigration issues). There was a large meeting the day before. Areas, plans, and protocols were discussed in detail. Individuals who planned/were willing to be arrested (and to engage in the sit-in behavior that would get them arrested) were given red wrist bands. And the march organizers discussed the plan with law enforcement beforehand. The cops knew what would be done, knew they would be making arrests, and knew there would be no violent resistance to those arrests (the protestors would go limp and allow themselves to be carried away). The statement was made. Images of cops arresting clergy went out, making a point. And nobody was actually harmed. That’s how grownups do civil disobedience. The protestors didn’t claim to own the Capitol rotunda. They didn’t tell the police “you can’t arrest us for breaking the law,” and physically resist when they tried to do so. Naive, uneducated and inexperienced idealistic kids (and seriously, that comes standard with the “18-22 year old” package, regardless of political leaning) don’t get that. So, they do some really unwise and stupid shit, which actually ends up hurting themselves and their cause. Lather, rinse, repeat.
  23. You mean “future Senator” poster child, right? Because that’s how this timeline works. That kid has “American leader” written all over him.
