What we got for combo oven/air fryer recs? And yes I’m aware they’re generally the same thing.

I have a combo. It’s a ninja, and is an indoor grill/griddle/air fryer.

Base heater element is the grill, griddle fits on top of that, then the fryer basket sits on top of the griddle.

I like it overall. Wasn’t sure at first (it was a gift a few years ago), but it’s  been pretty good. I’ve made all kinds of shit with it. Of course as you can imagine, it’s possible for it to get a tick messy, depending on what you’re cooking.

Anyway, I’ve done grilled type stuff (brats, chops, burgers, chicken, etc), smash burgers, breakfast, enchiladas, casseroles, whatever. And that’s just the grill/griddle. Air fry stuff has been wings, corn dogs, mozzarella sticks, fried chicken, fried chops, and stuff like that.

For two, it’s really pretty good and very versatile. There’s a slight learning curve, like heating up something with a sealed cover (like a tray where you peel back a corner to vent) that can get sucked off (ha!) from the convection. So extra caution, use foil, wrap tight and poke a hole, etc.

There may be better, but this works well and no real complaints.

Has anybody tried the vacuum sealers that seem to have recently hit the market that are handheld, USB charged and have the reusable bags? My mom was raving about this thing to me. I've got to admit, it seems like I would use it a lot more often than my big ol Foodsaver.

Essentially looking to replace two old counter top appliances in one, don’t need griddle/grill or silly smart shit… just something this is medium size (10-12 wings or basket of fries), not a messy disaster, and won’t burn the house down.

that instant pot looks like it might just work. Thx all

I would guess that if you get a Breville you will be very happy

Countertop?

We have the instant pot omni. Better than any we've used in the past.

Had a second Intant (instapot brand) airfryer crap out.

handle fell off - plastic screws. No replacement parts available. New has a door closure failure. Thinks it is always open and wont work.

They are off my list. Ninja or Breville the preferred?

*did find a youtube video replacing the switch so may try that first for a $5 part
