Just now, Grade of D as in David said:

True, and no disrespect to those, but they were 2 shots clear of the field. He has a chance to put up an all time great performance like the 97 masters or the 2000 us open.

I hear you just from a strokes gained on the field perspective.

I would say that this tournament has an asterisk, though. There's no way he shoots a 61 if he's starting even with everyone else. He has no pressure to do anything and he could also afford to start as aggressive as he wanted.

Curious to see what he does this weekend.

He may have stunk up Eastlake, but at least he was there to do it.

Vic with the big edge, but can he keep it together for this? Will the pressure mount and lead to mistakes? 6 shots worth?

Can the reigning gold medalist take advantage and make a move?

Can Scottie quit stepping on his own dick long enough to make a charge?

Lots of lines to follow.

I thought they were going back to a calendar year?

They are - but it doesn't mean these events were cancelled. This is like a gap season, I'm not sure the methodology, but wins and points will figure into status for 2024 FedEx, but as always the fall events don't really draw big names.

Looking at the 2024 schedule, it ends with the Tour Championship; no idea what happens to the fall events
