More.

The two GT4 RSs were owned by a husband and wife.

I admit that am a huge fan of wagons and I'm at odds with the buying public, but I refuse to believe that GM couldn't sell 10k of these Buick wagons per year if they figured out how to stuff an LS in there and beef up the handling.

Went to the SCCA Runoffs at RoadAmerica yesterday and took a bunch of pictures. Some are probably better for the other "modern" thread, but I think it's stupid that we have two car threads and I'm not going to bother splitting them up.

I too like wagons. Hell, I learned to tie my shoes way in the back of an Ambassador Wagon while Dad drove us through Tennessee on our way to Georgia.

But seriously, I too like that Buick Regal wagon. I think they could have put the 3.6 into it and made it really special rather than just sticking with the 2.0L turbo.

When I was in hs all I remember were chicks driving mr2s. And they were all hot. You just knew if you saw an mr2 it was a hot girl driving it.

First college roommate had one with the floor rusted out.  You could see the pavement.  Shocks were gone too.  He was a courier and drove the wheels off of that thing.  It was a blast to drive, a legal go cart.

Saw this posted elsewhere - dude spotted a supercar on the road in California…..

Looking it up, it is a 1,500 hp hybrid Regera, with a 0-250-0 mph speed run attained in as low as 28.81 seconds. 😳 This model is a few years out of production and has been supplanted by newer, faster and more expensive Koenigsegg’s. But depending on trim and colors, a Regera still commands between $2,000,000 and $4,000,000 for a used one.

https://luxurypulse.com/sales/show/5537-koenigsegg-regera

That is $$ from another planet! Just for fun I did a Ca DMV license and registration fee calculation for buying a $4 million dollar car. Ca DMV would charge a buyer $350,000 in tax and purchase fees, and then tack on an additional $26,800 PER YEAR to register it.

I’ll pass!

Can’t recall who well upthread recommended the headlight alarm from LMC, but damned if we didn’t spend half the day trying to get it to properly function. Must have watched a dozen YouTube videos and even dove into LLMs to cross reference approaches, but none of it mattered.

Assume the culprit is the new fuse box on this truck, but I simply can’t find a way to get the alarm to shut up when I turn the lights off :(

Interesting.  It's just a simple circuit.  Positive on headlight fuse and negative on ignition.  Have you tried the opposite in case it was wired backwards at the factory?

Yes, but sadly my fuse box uses an ACC plug which makes for tricky install. Didn’t work anyway and almost broke the plug pulling it out…

I’ll leave it to the shop who did the electrical to figure out what’s wrong.

My grandmother was born in Ängelholm, where the Koenigsegg is made.

Unfortunately we are not related to Koenigsegg as her maiden name was Nelson.

I picked up a 76 280Z earlier in the year. It's in really great shape and the stock 2.8L engine runs strong. Same with the interior. It's not a factory standard color, but I like it. My plan for now is just to clean it up, go with bigger 16" panasports, maybe a new exhaust header, maaaaybe swap the 4speed for a 5, otherwise keep the little things from turning into big things, and enjoy it for what it is.

My uncle was a Dallas fireman, but he lived in Cleburne. He had a silver 1977 280Z as his commuter car. I loved that car. I begged him to sell it to me, when he got rid of it. I was 15, and had a "hardship" license. It was plenty fast a 130 mph car. I never got it though. I think my Mom put the kibosh on that. Would have been like giving a chimp a loaded shotgun.

Cayman chassis with a 911 GT3 4.0 NA engine. About a $200,000 car. I'm not really a convertible fan, but I love these.

That is bad ass dude.  When I was a kid, one of the older teens on my block had one.  I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen when they came out.   Have fun with it!

The 280Z was about the fastest thing you could get in the late 1970s, besides exotics. It was so much lighter than the domestics, but with similar power. Had a great power to weight ratio at the time.
