What was Dana’s exact quote on Brantley?

#Astros GM Dana Brown tells @SeanUnfiltered of @SportsTalk790 that "it's not like before" with Michael Brantley and his shoulder. Not the same extent of discomfort, should only be a 3-day shutdown, still expecting him to play in August and September.

Dusty shouldn’t be giving players any rest. Just about every player has been getting plenty of rest on the IL

chas has started past 6 games, one day rest before closing the half vs division rival ?

I’d take stroman, and can we sign his little brother now ?

Which SP do you want? The following is a list of SPs on teams that could sell at the trade deadline AND are likely upcoming free agents (some have player/club/vesting options for next year).

1. DET Eduardo Rodriguez (2.13)
2. CHC Kyle Hendricks (2.64)
3. CHC Marcus Stroman (2.76)
4. SDP Blake Snell (3.03)
5. STL Jordan Montgomery (3.28)
6. CHW Lucas Giolito (3.50)
7. SDP Seth Lugo (3.59)
8. DET Michael Lorenzen (4.28)
9. PIT Rich Hill (4.50)
10. STL Jack Flaherty (4.60)

We kinda got the short end of the scheduling stick by only getting a 2 game series against the Rockies

Rangers are 13-2 this season vs COL/SEA/KC. The Astros need to keep pace with today's game and four upcoming vs the Ms.

They are our geographical rivals thus have home and away 2 games series. So we get them more than any other AL team does. We have single 3 game series with all other NL teams with the site alternating every year.

WE had (before yesterday) 17 games left against Oakland/KC/Colorado. I wanted to see a 13-4 record in those games.  1 down, 12 (at least) to go.

Sounds like something Bud Selig would say

There really aren’t any NL teams that are close. Of course, the Cardinals would have been preferable but can’t argue that they should be paired with KC. Denver in the summer is a nice road trip.

Doesn't it alternate by the year with them and Arizona? Some years one is our geo rival and other years the other?  Maybe I made that up in my head or they merely switched them when we went to playing everyone in baseball...

Yes. Unsure if that will continue next year but if it does then we should only play Colorado once either home or away....and Zona both home and away

I pretty sure that’s not right. It changed this year with the new balanced schedule. The D’Backs used to be our rival but are now matched up with the Rangers.

No. Not when your 2 best hitters are out and there is half a week to play before having several days off. It’s an asinine decision. No other team in baseball would do that unless they had a 10-game division lead. There is no logical rationale for this. There is no defense for this. It is intentionally reducing your team’s chances of winning for no good reason. Period.

Sparky with one of those crazy stats

Anderson gave up 5 homers one game and 3 of them were on 3 consecutive pitches.

Fast forward a few years and the next pitcher to do that 3 consecutive pitches was.....Anderson again.

No one has done it since it sounds like (didn't catch the years)

All I care about is that he is on pace to give up homers to diaz in 4 straight plate appearances
