They said Canady has pitched 3 days in a row a couple times this year, I wonder what the stats look like for those games

I’d like to know too, I know it’s not like baseball but laying it all out there 3 nights in a row is a thing for any athlete, plus we get to see her 3 times. She was focused on the rise fastball last night, change and curve more tonight, seems like we’ve seen it all now.

Eh, I feel like White was coaching like he had house money. I don’t agree with it, but he must feel confident with our chances with a semi rested Kavan vs a hopefully tired Canady. We hit her better today, but need that dog mentality all game tomorrow. Felt the team let up with these BS coaching moves.

That's why he's an idiot.  You play to win, not fuck around.  Now the pressure is all on us. Exactly the spot we don't want to be in.

Correct. This is why he hasnt won a title yet. He doesnt have a killer instinct. Just a recruiter, with an accent.

I'm not banking on her being tired, although she probably will be just a bit.  I'm more banking on three straight days of seeing her pitches.

We hit the shit out of her today, by comparison to her normal game.  I suspect and hope that we will continue to do so tomorrow.

This.

Maybe we load the bases in the first inning again and the game could be over early.

Team will carry the coaches mentality.  Which seems soft af.

Especially against a pitcher like Canady. 3 runs is a good offensive result against her. That's why you chase the win in game 2. You might not get that in game 3 even though I like our chances still.

A lot had to go wrong to lose that.  Stupid coaching decisions, melt down defensively.   Just play a clean game tomorrow and I like our chances

the problem is we have those 2 items down to a science. TK can throw a shutout and make it all moot though.

Counting on this lineup to prey on a "tired" Canady is foolish.  We will have to scratch our guts out just to get a couple runs, just like we did last night and tonight.  We really, really don't match up well against her. Tonight was the night to get it done.  We got 3 runs off her.  That should have been enough to win, if we're gonna win it.

I'd roll with Stewart, Goode and Cimusz at 6-7-8 and take my chances. Had we done that tonight, maybe we wouldn't have been trying to climb out of such a pit. We'll never know.

Left unmentioned is that Joley's having a tougher series than I'd anticipated. Need her very best at the plate and at 1B tomorrow.

I had shit going on so I tuned in late in the game and our AB in the 7th was the first I saw. Was that ump calling balls a foot and a half outside strikes both ways all night like he did to our final batter?

Haven’t read this thread so fuck you as a preliminary matter.

I get not starting Kavan. But not bringing her into the 5th baffles me. Coaching tonight was baffling after the midway point of the game.

Fuck you Mahomes.

We should win tomorrow but damn does it have to be so hard?

I think OU had something to do with him not having a title the last two times

I agree … 2/5 times she went 3 she got lit up in game 3 (see above) and so I hope so or maybe if she goes a few innings maybe just maybe the fatigue will set in just enough for her to make a mistake or two at the wrong moment. It may only take one mistake like in game one.

tall order for sure

nope.  that ump never gave Henry a chance.   he wanted the game to be over and Tech to win.  another payday!

I sure don’t think she’ll be any better manana, whereas our hitters should have better swings.

Is everything a conspiracy with you? Just wondering if you’re one of “those people”

I give it a 10% chance of playing tomorrow.  though ESPN would probably want it to be on Friday and not opposite the NBA Finals again, I am assuming.  could reschedule for Sat afternoon though which ESPN would love.

Agreed. If we choke this, he cant continue to coach here.

Ok dude, like I agree that his decisions tonight were terrible, but  you need to step off of the firing ledge or just go ahead and jump, because he's coaching here. This is a program which has been mostly solid with a few sprinkles of elite, but had never gotten to the final series. He's gotten us there 3 out of the last 4 years. You fire him, who do you go get?

The only likely guarantee to win a national championship is the coach sitting up at OU. No other coach has done a better job than Mike White over the last 4 years.

We're going to magically find success against Canady tomorrow because we've seen her already.

But Texas Tech will not also magically find success against Kavan because they've seen her already.

Reese is "due."

But Kavan is not due (to give up ER and take a loss).

Valence Effect is strong here.

Our lineup should also improve tomorrow as it's now obvious that Cimusz should be in the lineup.

I agree.  The fact that it is obvious should comfort to me.  Somehow I do not feel it is obvious to the one person who matters.

I would settle for a coach that plays to win in national championship games. Is that too much to ask for? Dude wonders why he cant win. The answer is himself. He put Simpson in the series against Clemson and we very well couldve gone home because of that choice. He is an absolute loose cannon if he is put under any amount of pressure and makes completely illogical decisions that have cost this team many times over.

Reese is due for a fucking homerun, you can’t be the best hitter in Texas history and only have 1 good hit in the WCWS. I’m expecting her to step up and ball out tomorrow

I read that in "your" voice.
