List specific examples of “string pulling” you consider on par with what Musk has done so far

Umm, can we go with Halliburton pushing and profiting from the Iraq War?  Is that bigger than what Elon has done?

Tax cuts for billionaires, dumb fuck.

Again, tax cuts help grow a government?    Let's make an analogy here, if you were trying to grow a business, would you want revenues to increase or decrease to grow the power and influence of your business?

How did the government get smaller after the Trump tax cuts?

how is it not the same thing?  You don't think Halliburton and the other Defense Contractors didn't pull Bush and Chaney's strings to start the war?

If you say so.  I agree that Elon has been louder and more public than any prior donor, but for the amount of string pulling on our government, no difference.

But how can you be so sure?

Two things:  tax cuts say nothing about tax levels or who is benefitting from those tax cuts. Comparisons between private industry and government are inherently flawed.

yes, ask a direct question I'll give a direct answer.

No, I'm pretty clear-eyed about hating Trump.  It goes back a long way.  Almost as long as I was a conservative.

I just did defend it.  I was asked for an example of a corporation pulling a presidents strings before Elon / Trump.  So I gave Halliburton and other Contractors to start the Iraq War.  You want another example?  I can do this all night.

Show how it is the same. You know, make a cogent argument. Do you know what cogent means?

It's not the same...it's worse.  Elon didn't invade another country and kill hundreds of thousands of people and cost the US taxpayers trillions.  Bush, Chaney, Halliburton & Raytheon did.

Want me to give another string pulling example worse than Elon / Trump? I can do this all day.

Halliburton is an energy company. But good try. Bush and Chaney are not defense contractors.

And yeah, give us more examples. Can you do any domestic ones? Like handing over national forests? Cuz, we all will benefit from that.

I notice how you cut and paste comments. There is another poster who does that.

Do you know how war is prosecuted by the US? Which laws were circumvented and outright flaunted?

No one cares.

You have two or three thoughts in your head that you think are important and prove that Trump and Elon are No Worse Than The Rest Of Them and so it's OK.  What we would really like is for you to never post here again.

There should be a forum called bolivia. That is where posters like this get sent. It is the only place they are allowed. If they want to stay and post against each other, cool.

Umm. Halliburton made $7B from the Iraq Contract and Dick Chaney was Chairman of Halliburton... If you don't call that sting pulling, I don't know what to tell you.  Is your position that the War in Iraq was just and not influenced by the Contractors that profited from it?

Morally the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were reprehensible and foisted upon us using false data. That is not what is happening in our country today, which is  illegal, unconstitutional, and an existential threat to our democracy

You want a domestic example of string pulling?  How about the 2008 - 2009 recession.  Wall Street and the Banks pulled Obama's strings to not only forgo prosecution but also fund their bailout while allowing over 3.5 Million Americans to suffer foreclosure.  Has Elon / Trump done anything worse than foreclosing on 3.5 American homes and covering the debts of those that caused it?

I have no power there.  Work with those of us who are aligned with you.  I can't convince a racist trumpy voter to vote otherwise.  It ain't my crowd, just as it ain't yours.

Over 50% of the "Christian" voters across the largest demographics go towards fasicsm.  You can't control them, probably true. But they have been fucking shit up for over 40 years now and it's getting worse.  Why are we that don't believe in your stupid sky fairy the baddies?
