I also thought this one was pretty "good":

SIAP but here is the letter that Abbott, Paxton and now the DOJ says has nothing to do with how the Texas govt redrew that maps even though that they followed it. Pure coincidence.

https://lrl.texas.gov/scanned/archive/2025/57372.pdf

Non-lawyer but if redrawing districts, due to race, is considered unconstitutional I would assume existing districts based on race are also unconstitutional. Wouldn't the proper method be to attack the current map in court to get a judge to toss out the current maps and then create new non-racially designed maps? Obviously that could be a longer process than just breaking the law.  Beg for forgiveness, not ask for permission.

What's funny about the 18th district (Houston) is that I don't disagree that it long had a consistent theme that the GOP packed minorities in that district to create more GOP seats. Past Republicans weren't so brazen to go as far as disenfranchising all/most Democrat voters in Houston. Now they want to crack the districts to overwhelm central city voters with suburb or rural votes.

https://www.cwc.org/CWC/CWC/Updates/2025/President-Trump-Nominates-Carter-Crow-As-EEOC-General-Counsel.aspx

Fulbright head of employment tapped to EEOC GC.

I know this guy a little bit.  Not at all surprised he's at least a little Trumpy, well-off, lives in Memorial all that shit.  Did not think he's that political.

But I'm kind of surprised anyone with a credible career at a credible place like Norton Rose Fulbright would join the confederacy of dunces that is Trump appointments.

I guess "general counsel of EEOC" is a good credential, but geezus criminy.

He went to blOwU, which may explain everything.

WTF does his goddamned girlfriend have an FBI detail? Is this a common practice?

"Agents have objected . . . " so I am guessing no not at all.  Think about recently past FBI directors, married, stead, sticks in the mud, not galavanting around chasing pussy at UFC fights and getting shithammered with D-list country stars in Vegas.  Some of them probably have had very messy personal lives, but have had the good sense to keep it on the QT and demand that family do the same.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone less comfortable in their own skin than Patel. He looks like "impostor syndrome" came to life and became a person.

Trump fed up getting Cory's sloppy 2nds?

Or she's stealing a little of his thunder and/or has plans for 2028.

Of course, every Republican in his administration probably thinks they can easily beat Vance, and they could.  South Park nailed him.

I said it in another thread, but Hegseth would have been gone by now if he hadn't been sucking up oxygen from the Epstein Files (12 days). Trump hates to answer to his underlings' fuck ups.

It won't matter. Another shitbird will take her place.

I have a hard time believing she’d be fired.  She gargles Trump’s balls more than Kegseth does.
