It's laughable how far MLB's site always goes out of its way to ignore Houston. Not that we aren't used to the shunning, but day in and day out you'll find them saying the bare minimum positive about a franchise that's on a major roll against insane odds. I assume the dismissal is per orders of the commish, but no matter the reason it's become an egregious display of bitterness. Let's win again today to annoy them even more.

More trollin shit

Astros GM Dana Brown told the team's pregame radio show that Jeremy Peña (fractured rib) is still not doing baseball activities. Peña is eligible to come off the injured list on Tuesday and Brown said "there's an outside chance" he could return before the All-Star break.

He was very optimistic about Yordan. said Yordan could ramp up very quickly now that they know the pain wasn’t fracture related.

Then went one to say the fracture was “healing, just about healed.”

wtf.

Said he’s not feeling any pain now, could ramp up very quickly from dry swings to tee to soft toss to machine, potentially all in this homestand if he doesn’t feel any pain.

Then went one to say the fracture was “healing, just about healed.”

wtf.

That fuck stick imo cost us that run. If we don’t have ABS or at a minimum a challenge system next year I’m going to fire bomb mlb headquarters and take Manfred out with a sniper rifle.

Guardians come to Houston riding a 10 game losing streak.

Shut out 5x and 14 run scored in the streak. This is the worst Tribe/Guards team I’ve seen in at least a decade. Wasting a Hall of Very Good Guy in Jose Ramirez.

Fuck all of the national reporters/ announcers.
Fuck MLB.com and Shohei's birthday in a fucking loss.
Fuck allstar snubs.

October is all that fucking matters.

This mindset is exactly why this team wins.

Yeah, they are a .500 team at best this year. Bieber is supposed to come back later in the year, but he's not gonna save this team. Don't know if they will be interested in blowing it up, since Kwan and Jram are probably the only guys they could sell for a king's ransom. Clase has been rumored for trades this season, and it might just happen, but he really hasn't been that great since the end of last season. He gave up a couple games against Detroit in the playoffs, and hasn't been the same since. They have a few more relievers that are solid, but probably won't fetch too much to help reshape the team. Cleveland and Houston both churn out pitchers through their systems very well, and so the Guardians tend to flip 1 or 2 every deadline for prospects.

Kwan on the Astros would be incredible if they could make it happen. He's a lefty, solid right fielder, low bat speed but gets a ton of contact, and he has 2.5 years of arbitration left. It would take a ton of assets for Cleveland to move him though, but he would be an ideal fit for this team.

Costanza not having an Astros bobblehead is announce that could be easily fixed.

1) Jason Alexander in the Astros’ organizations.

2) The Yankees dropped this masterpiece on the world.

We can’t get a bobblehead of George cursing out Astros execs in his office?!

He’s my ideal candidate to be an Astro.
I’d go something like Melton, Matthews, Gordon, blubaugh and Zach Cole or one of our other athletic and toolsy CF if they wanted them.

Just give Short a chance

He could really earn his WS ring here if he delivers.

Brown needs to pitch Sunday and Framber named as the replacement and then not pitch. Peña don’t come off the IL but do the red carpet. Hader can face 1 lefty or something.

Brown and Framber could very well happen, but you already knew this:
Brown starts Tuesday, skip gusto and brown goes Sunday on full rest

Framber will start Thursday.

next tues would be one day short of full rest for him

Yep. That’s why I said it. Brown would be ineligible. Framber would be eligible but they’d only throw him probably if something screwy happened. It’s basically be a bullpen day for him.
