I am starting to think we are tanking for Arch.

This team is in serious jeopardy of not making the playoffs. Hard to imagine a deep run if they even do. That being said, let’s go kick some ass in Baltimore tomorrow and try and right this ship.

Baby steps. How about we eke out an undeserving win first. 😅

Not really.  Yet

Throughout the golden age, we have consistently had our worst stretches in August.  We're still in first place by 1.5 games on August 20th.  Y'all white flag wavers can go ahead and jump off the train.

I fully expect the end of the regular season to play out like this for us and Seattle:

Which rookie OF sucks more dick right now, Cam or Melton?  That's a trick question- right now they both suck infinite dick.

You posed your question as a comparative and the answer is Melton.

Yes, Cam is bad right now, but Melton isn't even hitting his fucking body weight.

Cam looks tired and to quote Cal Elrod Jr. has  pretzel in his head when he comes to bat.

Melton just flat sucks and hasn't shown one thing to even keep him on the roster and you might as well DFA him because who is going to take him in a trade after the way they have showcased him this month.

If Framber is in a funk, then our season is on borrowed time.

While the Astros need Framber to be competitive, the lynchpin for the Astros making the play offs most likely isn't a guy who is most likely going to make 7 starts in the 35 games the Astros I remaining in the season.

That in my mind is their offense because right now they can't score for shit.

Any word on how Yordan’s pussy felt today after his big night last night?

Sanchez is not a bad outfielder, he had a bad play last night.  Shit happens.  I kind of think there was something weird going on with the wind or the lights being that Trammel had the same issue an inning later.

This is his best defensive season in his career, and he has been very good defensively since the Astros got him, last night withstanding. He's lost at the playe but so every other hitter we throw into the lineup, except for the occasional HR.

Astros rotation for Orioles:

Thursday: Jason Alexander
Friday: Lance McCullers Jr.
Saturday: Cristian Javier
Sunday: Spencer Arrighetti

Damn, that's looking rough, poor bullpen.

I just want to mention how terrible the timing is to try another round of the LMJ experiment.  The Astros really need another start where the SP might not get out of the 1st inning.  It will be great for the bullpen and team morale.

Evidently Kyle Tucker has been playing with a fractured hand since June 1. Hairline fracture. Sounds similar to Yordan. Played through it with minimal affects initially but looks and sounds like compensating for it eventually altered his swing and led to current struggles even though healed. Interesting in that it was Tucker and Alvarez and the opposite ways they handled it. Cub medical staff catching hell for not making him sit. Ours catches hell for not making him play sooner.

No, our medical staff is catching hell for lying about it for months.

I mean, we tried to make him play sooner with the hand well broken and he was like fuck that shit.

They should have flown him to Baltimore after his off day.  2-4 with a walk. What- his timing going to be so far off he can't outperform Cam Smith or Jesus Suckwad (his new name until he gets a hit) or Melton the Molester (his new name unless and until he cuts the mustache)?  Whatever, get him 2 more games down there Thursday and friday and then I guess what- he gets a 3 day weekend before catching up with the team for the Rockies at the ice box?

No need for a sense of urgency- everything is going so swimingly.

I have only watched about a half dozen games in real time this year because I finally got tired of being held hostage to MLB's ridiculous regional broadcast rules.

No. I blame Yordan for not getting surgery, when they knew it wasn't a 10-day ouchie.
He's still not back...

I have used this all season long.  Pop-up blocker used.  usually takes 3 times opening and closing, with it opening properly on the 3rd attempt.

Wait, did I read that correctly, you have to get ESPN’s direct to consumer subscription of $29.99 per month ON TOP of the cost for MLB.tv. Fuck that noise. I have DirecTV and get ESPN, I will not pay another $30 a month for the scam they’re trying to pull.

Question for y’all that use Unlocator to see the Astros on MLB.tv while living in Texas — do I need to just sign up for their Smart DNS service and get that set up on Apple TV and will be golden? I have NordVPN for VPN if a VPN is needed. I hope I don’t have to get Unlocator’s VPN on top of their $5 month Smart DNS.

Re: MLB.tv: it wouldn’t be “on top of”…. the only way to get MLB.tv in the future would be through the espn package if what’s being reported (espn buys those rights) happens. At the current price point for the espn package ($30/month), that’s means it’ll cost about $30 more (6 months Apr-Sep) x $30 = $180) compared to the current MLB.tv season price of $150. But I would be surprised if espn, charging $30/month now for their streaming package that debuted today, doesn’t raise the price if they add mlb.tv to the lineup.  They would be wise to offer a standalone “mlb.tv” option at a price point close to what it is today.

You are fine for Astros games, they will still be on Space city on market.
the 5 teams that espn will have home games for, I’m sure, are the ones who had their RSN’s go tits up. I think like San Diego and Arizona were amongst those and MLb took over the distribution for those teams.

Fuck them if they maintain current idiotic "local team" definitions.
