Bro if I have Flagg I need more than J Dub and Cason Wallace 😂

The thing is it's likely that anyone that gets Flagg is going to need a guy like Flagg. I get that the hypothetical is fun but I would think that a trade for him is a non-starter unless a top 10-12 guy in the league is included.

No - it doesn't. Picks are picks. Flagg is Flagg.

I think you could Giannis cheaper than Flagg at this point as dumb as that sounds.

But Jalen W is an All Star and I could see Cason Wallace becoming an All Star.  Throw in 2-3 of the really good picks and that's a lot.

You're acting like this is a recent development.

I gleefully cancelled any streaming service that gave me ESPN many months ago, so weekend games on ABC are my only exposure to him these days.

Good for JDub. He's 1-11 today. Think he was 5-20 in game 1. Trading him is just foistering your garbage on another team so you don't have to pay him.

Giannis may be a bit cheaper.

It's just really hard to get franchise players in the NBA because there's never more than ~10 at a time - and it's almost impossible to win a title without one. I'm rolling the dice on Flagg 10 times out of 10. I mean I think he's going to be a better player than JDub by his 2nd season.

You’re fucked for football season.

The biggest games are almost always on some combination of Fox, NBC, CBS, and ABC. I can find a watch party or a bar for any playoff games I care about.

Also this. I have better things to do with my time than track down where to watch 3rd and 4th tier SEC games.

Huge banked 3 by Gordon!!!

unfortunately they wasted about 90% of valuable seconds trying to set something up

Without his end of game shots, they would have been swept today.

Just a rough game today. Bad shooting on both sides. Game trend started the same as G3 (lost 1st, won the next 2 quarters) just that the Nuggets got their ass kicked in the 4th. Disappointed we couldn’t find AG or CB more when Murray wasn’t finding his shot. Up 6 to start the 4th to go up 3-1 only to lose hurts real bad right now.

Jalen is a legitimately good all around player.  Three level scorer and can guard 4 positions.  He's just shit the best the last two years in the playoffs.  If you're Utah, you'd have Lauri plus the Thunder package.  Without that, you'd just have Lauri and Flagg.

OKC deserves some credit for their defense.  As much as the coaches and players have shit the bed on offense, the adjustments they've made on Jokic have been top tier.  He dominated in Game 1 but in the three games since then, he's really having to work and he's just not getting his usual numbers.  They're running a constant two big lineup and getting help from Caruso or whoever.

Of course he's a good player. But he's proving to not be a high-level bucket-getter than can unfuck a team out of bad possessions. You need guys like that to win titles.

Maybe I'm overrating Flagg - idk. For me his floor is someone like J Dub if not a bit better and his ceiling is franchise cornerstone.

It's hard to quantify the #1 pick when it's a once every 7-8 years type of can't-miss prospect.

Jokic had had great looks from 3 but just not hitting the last two games. But generally agree the Thunder defense looks really good overall. OKC still hasn’t done anything against the Nuggets zone and that’s worrisome for them.

Are we ever going to see AG at backup 5?

I'm not saying he isnt good but man I dont ever come out of a game saying "damn SGA might be the best player in the league"   Hell I rarely see him being the best player in the game.   Goal of the game is to win and his team wins but I just dont see him controlling a game like a Joker or Freak.

I mean Jok and Giannis are an indisputable top 2 right now. Anyone thinking SGA has ever been on that level is on drugs.

Is he a top 5 player is a valid question. Because so far in this playoffs if we're drafting guards he isn't going in the top 2 (might not go in the top 3, tbh).

I'd probably take Luka over him. Idk about Tatum - they've both kind of been ass.

He's top 10 for sure.

Double tech or double eject. None one and the other

But it wasn't a real punch. No windup. It was more of a fist tap than anything.

I'm surprised that was punished more heavily than the push.

Feels like Denver/OKC is going 7. Nuggets looked totally gassed in the 4Q. Ugly, ugly game.

I mean we can hope. I fear we lose G5 and are too tired to win G7 if we’re to win G6. G5 is massive.

I haven't really watched Flagg but my question is his real height with metrics.  He's listed at 6'9" so he's probably really 6'7".  At that height, is he athletic enough to guard other elite wings?  I don't know.  Also, at that height, is at least a really good shooter?  Again, don't know.

Flagg is not Wemby.

Indy does everything that OKC doesn't when it comes to consistently putting points on the board and pressing advantages. They have this free-flowing joy to them and an edge on top of it and when you watch the Thunder you just wonder where that is.

Minny and NYK don't play as clean of a brand of offense as Indy but they also look like they're consistently having fun and committed as teammates.

Denver and GS are wily, salty dogs with title experience that play smart as shit and are going to be a m'fer to beat regardless of what it says on paper.

The teams that look tight this playoffs - like they're being forced to compete - are OKC and Boston. Which is strange because - on paper - those should be the two toughest teams to beat.

I'm not sure if it's simply a function of how these teams are built and chemistry and coaching or if expectations play into it or if we're looking at a playoffs where the margins are just so damn thin that your "favorites" are mashed into the rest of the mix and it's like we're drawing names out of a hat.

Either way this playoffs has been a blast and some of the names mixing it up feel very refreshing.

The OKC/Denver game today was huge.  Based on what is going on with the other series, whoever wins this series is likely winning the whole thing.  Had OKC lost, they're not coming back.  They're not winning 3 straight.  Now it's a 3 game series with 2 games in Oklahoma City.  Advantage Okies.

East might be Indy/Knicks.  West might be Minny vs OKC/Denver.

OKC/Denver wins all of those.
