Take the bus tour that goes by everything. You can get off at any stop and explore and then catch another one when it comes by.

There are some really cool places right across the street from Fenway. It is really a fun place before a game. Lot of food and beer places. Make sure you get a hot dog at Fenway. They are great.

Take the green line, way easier than parking and driving in Boston.

Lots of good restaurants in Boston. Since you have a car and if you want to get away a little bit, my recommendations:

  • Super beef 3-way on an onion roll at Fresco's in Malden
  • Fried chicken at Nan's in Stow (gotta order 2 hours ahead, get the biscuits too)
  • Ice Cream at Uhlman's in Westborough
  • Bar pizza at Hoey's in Randolph.

This all day.  Not only is it easier, it adds to the experience, imo.  Stop in at Cask & Flagon before the game - it's directly on the way from Kenmore Station to Fenway Park.

Sight seeing:  Can't recommend the Duck Boat Tours enough.  The drivers are all in character/costume and while it should be cheesy, it actually works.  They know their shit and you can hit the high points of Boston's history pretty quickly, w/ humor instead of some dry history major droning.  If you have kids w/ you and are looking to kill a couple of hours adjacent to the Duck Boat Tour, they leave from the Boston Museum of Science, which is one of the coolest museums ever.  Big fan of the New England Aquarium as well.

Love the thread title.  Fenway (Boston).

Let us know when you head to NYC:  Yankee Stadium (the Bronx).

Haven't been to Boston in a minute, but I have had some DAMN fine very thin pizza there.

You don’t even need a car if you’re staying in Boston proper. Walk, take the subway, and uber.

This.  And as noted above, the Green LIne.  With the cost of rentals nowadays, you'll get more bang for your buck spending it on almost anything else around Fenway.

Union Oyster is a historic place and you should go there by all means.

Clam chowder is awesome.

Also go to the Boston Tea Party Museum.

Very cool.
