    Obligatory . . .

  • I shake my head about people who constantly bitch about this team and coaching. Y’all need to remember that Ryans inherited a team that was 11-38-1 in the previous 3 seasons and taken them to 31-19 an

That’s awesome that guy got the TD at the end.

Ok I’m happy

Ok , let’s play guess the line. Texans should be road favorites regardless. I’ll say -2 @Baltimore and -4.5 @ Pittsburgh

Also, I think we’ll avoid the dreaded Saturday afternoon game for the first time in recent memory. It has to be the Carolina game, doesn’t it?

Them or the Jags.

I think every single one of our wild card round games has been the early Saturday game right?

Nah. The Jags are probably hosting the Bills.

pisses me off we blew this at the end. Fuck.

Yeah, no thanks on going to Baltimore.

Could not agree more, healthy-ish Lamar and Henry on his game is scary enough.

Add to that Andrew is a great TE and Houston has had struggles with TEs this season.

And Walker is an emerging deep threat. He has 6 catches, and 4 TDs this year. Their defense is not healthy/trash, so that’s a plus.

Simmons gets his bullshit wish. Chargers at Pats. He’s been expressing his fear of the Texans for weeks.

Herbert is due for a good playoff game, I hope it happens.

Ravens bout to cruise thru this game.

I hate Pittsburgh. I never cheer for those fuckers and it goes back to the ‘78 & ‘79 AFC Championship games. BUT tonight and tonight only, I’m making an exception.

Game against Baltimore will be Monday night

Y’all can cry about all you want about the Saturday early game, but at least you can get nice and properly drunk during the game. Not happening on a Monday.

Why the fuck not?

The forecast in both cities is reasonable and shouldn’t be a factor for the game. Caught a break.

Doesn't Monday suck because it's less rest before the next game?

But more rest for that game. Plus whoever wins the MNF wildcard game won’t be scheduled for Saturday during the divisional round.

Beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh. This year we're going to kick the son of a bitch in! Win it for Bum and Earl.

Wow, 2 shanked kicks to end the game, and we wind up facing the Steelers! Old man Rodgers is gonna have his clock cleaned a few times next week. Steelers are very beatable, but we need our offense to show up. Love the matchup, and it's likely one of the lower seeds than us will win a game so they go on to face Denver in round 2. Very nice setup for the Texans.

And that’s why you don’t FA, the 5 seed is the path for us. We almost FO today

Back the truck up but do it fast. That point spread is going up.

It will have to be the Bills. The Chargers aren’t very good.

They re-seed after the WC games, so no guarantee we go to Denver? But this a great draw for the Texans

Keep them under 20 and win this fucker.

Where are my old NFL pencils…

The lowest remaining seed plays Denver.

Game in Pitt Monday Night 7:15 on ABC.

If the Texans can defeat the Steelers:

• If the Chargers and Bills win, the divisional would be against Buffalo at home in Houston

• If the Chargers and Jaguars win, the divisional would be against the Jaguars on the road

• If the Patriots and Bills win, the divisional round would be against New England on the road

• If the Patriots and Jaguars win, the divisional round would be against Denver on the road

and a Houston NFL team hasn't reached the AFCCG since the 19fucking79 season. Too few NFL fans outside of us GenX Oilers fans know this. This drought needs to end soon.

The Patriots record is fools gold, they played a historically weak SoS for a Playoff team. They played exactly 2 teams with a winning record all year and went 1-2 against them. Drake was top 3 in sacks per drop back, he's still very young and raw. They might beat the Chargers, but I don't think they go past Round 2 when the going gets tough. I hope we match up with them then and destroy them.

Best outcome for Houston. Not having to deal with Derrick Henry and getting an old, stale ass Steeler team.

undoubtedly the best outcome after the Jags won but do not look past Aaron Rodgers and Mike Tomlin at home in the cold against us. They will not be an easy out.

My early forecast is for a gametime temperature of about 30 degrees, cloudy skies, and modest winds. Things could be far, far worse in January there.
