Saturday at 08:23 PM1 day His bowl game performance wasn't great, but I felt like Parker was one of our top 3 receivers this season, and he would be poised for an even better year next season. I guess Sark is confident we're getting a big upgrade at WR....Coleman or bust?

At the end of 2024 everyone said how Arch was going to come right in and be an immediate upgrade. I was screaming from the mountain top about some of the things I saw him struggling with and sure as shit he did struggle early on.Sark has a bad habit of of not getting backups reps and keeping his rotations small. That hurt us when receivers went down. That hurt us with running backs. That hurt us on the line. That hurt us even with Arch Manning. If every season 50% of your team is learning on the job you are going to take some lumps that have you on the outside looking in.Now it's going to be 2026. We are going to be breaking in new backs, receivers, and linemen. On D all 3 levels too. That may cost us a game or two before we get settled in just like it did this year. Then 2027 we break in another new QB and 15 more players from the portal.See where I am going?Sometimes you just have to coach up your roster and quit looking for shiny new objects everywhere else. Brennan Thompson just caught over 1000 yards this year. We could've used that. Sometimes the answer to your struggles is already on the bench.I understand your concern. I share it. But Parker isn't the player the panic to over. There are literally thousands of players in the portal. Every team is going to have 10+ defections. Again, if Parker is out so that Lockett gets actual playing time, are you still upset? I wouldn't be. Parker is out because he wanted more playing time and the money that comes with it. It isn't greedy. He isn't wrong for wanting it. But Sark and staff aren't necessarily wrong for pushing down his playing time in favor of players with more upside (and that can catch).

Butler, of course, was able to compete at the top level in basketball w teams laden with homegrown seniors.I find the scramble over the Auburn WR to be slightly concerning, and it may be more disruptive to your team than providing value.I wonder whether Coleman is the right move as well. This isn't about Parker, this is a trend that I am not liking across the board from Sark and as I said, it's hurt. College football isn't the NFL. You have to come out swinging. We get Ohio State game 2 next year and Tenn, OU, Florida, and Ole Miss game 4, 5, 6, 7. If we come out sluggish we could be looking at 3 quick losses and be out of the CFP halfway through the season. We are losing over 20 players through portal and draft so far. Fifteen of which were on the field for us this season. That's a lot of replacing that needs to be done to be playing at full tilt game 2. That is my concern.

You just watched an entire season that went sideways because we didn't get kids properly evaluated due to small rotations and lack of experience. Yet you still don't recognize what is right in front of your face. So a few questions for you? Why was Arch, a guy who had been here two years already at the start of the season, not ready to go day one?Why did we not know whether or not we had a LG or C who could play coming into the season? Why were we playing Baxter all year only to find out that Clark can run the football? Why were there a ton of mistakes in the secondary when Taafe went out? For a guy who according to you is "pretending to know what is going on during a given play", I sure as shit have been right a lot on this board huh? I called this season last year when you guys were beating your chests about how 2025 was the year. Was it a lucky guess? But Sark thinks he can improve the DC and he pulled the trigger.Sark aint fucking around about next season.Me thinks he think if he wins the NC, he will then have the skins to jump to the NFL.I think he wants to change the perception of a play calling HC by having his cake (being called HC but deferring to the DC 💯 on defense and having fuck all to do with one side of the ball) and eating it too by also calling plays. We all want it to work but I don’t remember PK screaming into Sark’s headset to call some of the shit Sark did in the red zone against Washington when we should have won or against Ohio State in the red zone when we had every chance to win. All Sark needed to do was praise Pk not act like we lost bc Sark had to hold PK’s hand 24/7 bc the tape don’t lie. Sark’s RedZone play calling was yellow short bus special. His play calling in general may be his superpower but his inability to call the right plays for the right players and against what a defense is giving him had CONTINUOUS weakness for him from his Pac days and the blame should be 100% on him if his new strategy doesn’t work. He wants to be able to sit with Arch and squat and deal with Millwee and Banks and Flood and for Muschamp to handle the rest. If it works yay for UT fans and he might leave and pitch this same setup to the NFL I guess? If it doesn’t work then we should cut bait and let Icarus burn his wings 🪽 and drip his bullshit wax all over some other football program.
