A&M to wear 1975 throwbacks against Gata. The Manziel era uniforms were similar but this is so much better without the beveled numbers. The 70s era adidas logo is a nice touch.

aggy should've kept the shoulder stripes from the Manziel era teams. It's a unique and somewhat classic look. I agree that the beveled numbers are lame.

Colorado’s gold hats and pants are so much better than all black.

Agreed. Simply commenting on the general esthetic of the game on screen. The color combo of the two teams playing really just popped under the lights, or at least I thought so.

Paydirt Pete is great. I do also like the pickaxe as the T in “UTEP” and the single pickaxe.  UTEP has some great and unique stuff to work with; and should completely ditch the modern miner mark that just looks like a cowboy.

The baby blue is so great, much better and eye catching than the navy. Kind of the inverse of the classic Gulf racing livery.

I welcome all moves back to brighter colors and away from muddy tones and shades of gray/white. It’s just much nicer to see colors and contrast on the field. That’s part of why the Cardinals stuff sucks, just a bunch of muted “desert tones.”  The AZ flag is great and iconic because of the colors and they took them all out.

Agreed. Brighter colors are what made the older, classic NFL uniforms so much better.

Quarterback Chris Chandler, who lost all six of his starts as a Buccaneer in the early 1990s, later defeated Tampa Bay as a Houston Oiler in 1995.

Yup here’s what that matchup looks like today. Dark blue almost black, turd brown pants, and overly complicated stupid looking logos. Fucking 1990s.

I can't think of a single 90's rebrand that has stood the test of time.  Even if they're still in use (like these) most fans clamor for the old ones.  The NBA and NHL had some truly hideous combos in that time frame as well.

The bucs sucked out loud with the old colors and have won 2 titles with the current look. I get the idea the old color scheme would win a fan popularity contest though. Maybe not, but it could make for an interesting study in branding.

Good idea, bleh execution.

I am a WWII aviation fan and leaning into the P-40 Warhawk angle is cool. But they use an actual hawk on all their other branding.  The mascot was chosen to honor Chennault so why not make that the primary focus?

The shark mouth is cool but it’s itching to be the helmet mark, not a sleeve. It is one of the most iconic WWII era symbols and should have pride of place.

Move the Louisiana with the roundel to the sleeve. The roundel in the middle of the jersey is odd.  Why not use the Flying Tigers’ actual squadron symbol if you’re doing this tribute instead of the roundel? Walt Disney did this for the squadron.

Gray sucks. Go with the airplane’s actual olive drab if you’re not doing school colors.
