  2. People pretending that the organization that rapes children is going to act morally is pretty funny
  3. This is an ass kicking
  4. To be fair my signs were 4s....Yordans out...i refused to believe it was jrod....so went with Sanchez
  5. 15 hours of Vineland left. 4 work days. I think I can do it if I lock in and ignore true crime podcasts for a week.
  6. Twilight Imperiumn, is like a Mt. Rushmore game but I've never played it. I'm not avoiding it, it just hasn't happened. This news might remedy that. (I'm not saying digital can replace the tactile experience of board gaming on a table, but at least I'll know better what people are talking about when they mention it. And they ALWAYS mention it.)
  7. This has been an unusually loaded nonconference slate. I don't know if this is germane or not, but Texas tends to play fewer matches overall than any other program in the country. Elliott's primary focus is on navigating RPI to give his squad the best chance of finishing in the top 4 and being a regional host. There's no other program that does a better job of scheduling for RPI purposes. In fact, he was known to talk to other coaches in the Big 12 to try to help them get higher RPI numbers, too. I'm willing to bet he's doing some of the same things in the SEC, but he's not going to have the same communication level with the other SEC coaches early on. Some of these teams really need confidence boosting wins more than they need to risk losing against better competition every match. For the bigger programs like Kentucky and Florida, they like getting in more home matches, too.
  8. I imagine the average tow truck driver probably exists in an ambient smell bubble that masks a lot.
  9. Coach Elliott has always believed in a rigorous non-conference schedule. I think that's partly because of the BXII where we mostly would not be challenged during conference play. Kept us from seeing "big dogs" in the tourney for the first time. And Lord knows, I think BXII play put us to sleep many times and we barely roused for the tourney. Also let us get close without top flight defensive play, meaning a 1, 2, or 3 loss record, high ranking and tournament seeding without being tested like the B10, P10, or even SEC.
  10. Let's Fucking Go !!!!!!! LOS ASTROS !!!!!
  11. Klatt's opinion contained in here
  12. I'm not sure that person likes anything. Seems pretty miserable.
  13. I respect your decisions and support anyone who feels the same to follow suit. This isn't me trying to blow up burnt ends subs, but it really is as you said - the face of an organization that is capitulating. Treefiddy is fine if you want to support the site. I lose money on every burnt ends subscription (processing fees I gross up)
  14. OK, time to run the table.
  15. He's unmatched in bits about rats. Rat orgy and rat squirrel are hilarious.
  16. I think the kid was right wing after thinking about it. But because government doesn’t know shit about people his age that are chronically online gamers who hang out in discord their clues come off as left wing, well the version of left wing they think exist.
  17. Well, there's no O'Neal type in the middle. Also, both of those national championship teams were unreal from the service line during tournament time. Because of Stafford, this team is better with back row defense. But as good as Halter/Gary are, and they're outstanding, are they that much better than Fleck/Halter, or come tournament time, Halter/Barnes was pretty salty, too (Barnes seemed to take a while to get acclimated during the regular season). It's still early in the season. What I will say is that the last two years the team started off slow. And then last year they never really got it going. Spears is just so otherworldly on the right side and the back row. But the national championship team with Eggleston/Skinner was pretty loaded. Remember, they only lost the one match against Iowa State all year. I also really liked Ka'aha'aina-Torres as a setter. They had Parra on the bench. I'll also say the 2021 team that made the national championship match was really loaded, too. Nonetheless, this team is sure fun to watch. It's been a really impressive early season run, no question. I feel like that's a conversation better left for after the season. Without question, though, this team looks a heck of a lot better in the early going than the last couple of years.
  18. Heaven Hill has no idea where the wheater sweet spot is and it's probably costing them millions. If they could dial it in like BT they could take a nice bite of their market share.
  19. The aristocrats!
  20. I don't know much about volleyball other than TX is badass. Question, mostly rhetorical. Why does TX seem to play a ranked team every game while the rest of the SEC plays powerhouses like Kennesaw St and Upper SC State?
  21. LF is easier on the ankle than hitting
  22. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony_poisoning
  23. The biggest problem is you have to play him in LF to get him in the unless you put Paredes at 1B, which I would be ok with. To maximize this lineup against RHP, you need Alvares, Paredes, Cole, and Sanchez in it.
