  1. Past hour
  2. Does she have an employer I can refer this to?
  3. Spoilered below is the Sooners Illustrated preview on OU special teams. Highlights: -Without ever having the guy kick for him in a game, Brent Venables declared that his new kicker was NFL Hall of Fame caliber. -They replace everyone but their long snapper, so, naturally, the OU writer assumes they'll be on par with last year. -You see this when they talk about him at WR as well, but they seem to think Sategna is going to be really good as a returner. I love these scenarios where a guy was a relative non-entity elsewhere, but they're going to become a standout for OU. That shit can happen, but it's not like we've only caught glimpses of this guy. -The Venables quote reads like he'd run through several lines of coke just before taking the stage.
  4. Who are the obvious top 3? I see WIngo as one then Livingstone. Is Moore really the obvious starter over Mosley? And we hear McCutcheon is coming along. It's gonna be a real battle.
  5. psa final is on 14' 0-0
  6. I was writing something almost exactly like this but you said it well. This is the reality.
  7. I'm actually pretty shocked they didn't just do this first. Release the parts that have nothing to do with Dotard.
  8. Maybe suicide should be encouraged for certain individuals. "Have you considered fucking off a tad and slitting your own throat and not involving innocent people into your confusion?" It would be a tricky public messaging campaign. "Maybe just kindly fuck off and stab yourself?" It would take awhile to get the wording right. I feel bad for wishing that guy would have shot him in the foot or the thigh. A little frustrating that the stabber was coherent enough to comply with the threat of a gun being pointed at him. So not a full on blackout rampage of psychotic spiral. What's the line between mental health issues and just being a deranged, vainglorious shithead who deserves a mob beating?
  9. Sooners Illustrated preview on Safeties spoilered below. Highlights: -In typical OU honking fashion, they lost an All Conference player to the middle rounds of the NFL, but they're now going to be better with that position group. -Peyton Bowen, pulling what I am now going to start calling the Venables Maneuver, is actively busting as a former 5 star on their roster. He had turf toe last year, put up middling numbers as a backup, had surgery in the offseason and skipped spring camp. Accordingly, he's about to have a better season than Billy Bowman. -They're really high on Robert Spears-Jennings, but I viewed the guy as basically league replacement last season. He gets a lot of hype for the PFF grade, but watch the games and tell me how great he is, especially in pass coverage. -The rest of their safety board they hype as depth, but it's ultra jaggy and most of these guys wouldn't make the current Texas roster. -RSJ with another masterful quote from Media Days that leads me to believe he showed up high as a fucking kite and just started rattling off whatever inane thoughts appeared in his peabrain for the audience to witness.
  10. I didn't need another reason to never go to Walmart, but I'll go ahead and add this to the list.
  11. Moore is also a good blocker and besides being a little faster is a little quicker and has better acceleration. Still, I see round 4 for him.
  12. I %100 know what you're talking about.
  13. Of course he did.
  14. Sigh. People take this stuff too seriously. I like Shane Gillis but the idea that it’s not ok to think he sucks is asinine. He is about the most acquired taste I can think of for a comedian that isn’t Kaufman or Fielder because his delivery is completely unlike any comedian I’ve ever seen. There is an amateur hour, uncertain nature about it. I see how it turns people off. I’m down with it because I just find it disarming. But I understand how others find it stilted and amateurish. Tom Segura still makes me laugh even though he seems utterly unlikable and smug so I still tune in. And that’s ok. None of these guys hold a candle to Jeselnik (ducking).
  15. And Cruel to Be Kind may be the best Nick Lowe song.
  16. All right, just hear me out. I have what is likely a stupid idea, but this is Surly. I wonder if Kruel is closer to his physical potential than most HS recruits. Meaning not much ceiling for his currently intended position. But what if we could convert him into a short yardage specialist? He’s got the size and coordination. Maybe it’s just the red-zone-PTSD talking.
  17. And Whitt is an exceptional blocker at the WR position. Moore is faster, but I don’t think he was better in any other category last season.
  18. No, white women and white men are the largest voting blocs and both go Republican. Dems have no message for them. Not having a message for them is wage fraud by whoever is in control.
  19. Spoilered below is the Sooners Illustrated preview of CBs. Highlights: -They expect Gentry Williams back and as a starter. He's coming off of two seasons with major shoulder issues and, I think, he missed the spring as well. I feel like he's kind of a white stag for them - rarely seen and mostly out of reach, but much desired. -Is Eli Bowen going to be a true stud at CB? He did fine as a freshman. He graded out really well at PFF, but I do have to remind myself that their grades in the secondary are the worst that they provide. I'm assuming it's a tape issue. But was this guy just the tallest midget for a bad CB room? Or was he good and headed towards great? -Jacobe Johnson is talked about the way Texas fans and moderators have talked about highly ranked but rarely seen players over the years. They're still waiting for him to breakout. Good luck with that. -They're talking up Courtland Guillory as though he's a wizard. It's just not a good sign if you're constantly starting true freshmen at CB. -The Safety that Venables took to Media Days is about as articulate and competent-sounding as R Mason Thomas. To the surprise of no one, they sound like a team loaded with true dumbfucks. Or maybe he's an immigrant and English isn't his first language or something.
  20. "He was JOKING" outrage incoming in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . .
  21. The two Japanese grenades my Dad brought back from the 1943 Alaska Aleutian Campaign were deactivated without any explosive materials. They were pretty cool paperweights, but I gave them to my neighbor - a BATFE explosives expert - for his collection.
