  1. Past hour
  2. They're on their way. See their results under Venables and their recruiting classes.
  3. Sir, I think you are forgetting about their glorious 2020 campaign and all those great teams they beat. But the Sip media screwed them out of the playoffs, which they likely would have won.
  4. The Dennis monologue was of course great. I’m glad the show uses it so sparingly. It’s something special and should be treated as such.
  5. Like into Bolivia? @kibbles @immamac handle this
  6. Rectal polyp and the indelible skidmarks.
  7. This sort of talk is why I just roll my eyes when people claim Texas is the most arrogant fan base in college football. Ive seen maybe 2-3 people saying Texas WILL win it the SEC, much less win it all this year, I see hundreds of examples of shitbag Sooners who claim Texas is worse than last year and OU destroys Texas without question. ”on paper (OU) is better”, etc. Sooner fans think that because a player or coach is at OU, he’s automatically better than anything at Texas. They believe ou will win because, OU. it ludicrous and they deserve decades of mediocrity or worse.
  8. This is nice. In the early conversations about NIL, accompanied by a man who stirs queso into salsa with his finger, we discussed the concept of fundraising enough money for Texas NIL that, at some point, would be large enough to pay the yearly NIL requirements for the team without touching, and in fact growing the principle. I'm not sure we understood how fast NIL would get this large, but it's a a nice pie in the sky idea. Of course, you're talking about probably a Billion dollars in the fund now to do that. If 100 million is left over from that guy, that's a nice start for Kansas.
  9. We all know this, but looking at this list it's really striking how in this era you're either going to be a key contributor, or you're going to move on. 2022 is all settled (I think they've always liked Robertson as flexible depth), for 2023 only Stroh and Randle remain on the fence, and 2024 pretty much just Hills like you mentioned and maybe JJR (but he's trending toward contributing).
  10. You can be obtuse all you want. But if you cannot see the difference, I do not know what to tell you. Going to be another 10 in 2026.
  11. It does read like AI and he thankfully spends far more words on ou which is great cause fuck them.
  12. Perhaps continued jerking around is what has prolonged his hand injury.
  13. Looks like @kibbles is trying to find me: not sure who he’s messaging with but I guess I have a couple of enemies on this board
  14. I am busting at the seams with bourbon. bottles overflowing shelves, cabinets, tables, on the floor and everywhere. been trying to drink faster than i buy but losing that battle. last two bottles i killed were an ezra 7 and a larceny store pick. both serviceable but not noteworthy. last two bottles i was impressed with were a rebecca creek spanish oak, a peerless double oak. i also swore off bardstown so trying to plow through those. last one i killed was one of the early discovery or fusion (cant remember which or the number). it was so good i'm second guessing killing the rest of them.
  15. I was at my peak physical shape at 42-43 after getting back into it at 40 but hurt my elbow bad with poor tennis form, out for 14 months though I tried to work through it. I ended up resting for 6 months straight but no alt exercise because most of my workouts then were just tennis and I lost everything. I’m 49 (50 in a week) and just now getting back up there - to be fair other than tennis 2x a week which I never stopped I only really started this past February - but an almost a decade of aging and a few tummy pounds that will not go away. I’m not sure there’s anyway to avoid atrophy at our ages if we stop for 3-6 months, heck at this point taking 2 weeks off is hell on return. If I were down for 3 months or more I would mentally prepare for a 6-9-12 month restart depending on how long I was out and rebuild. I do think you can absolutely gain muscle mass over 50 (over 49) because I’m doing it. And if I can, any guy can, in fact as hard as it is, I would fully expect it’s actually easier than for me. I think the key is expectations. While the goal is a certain muscle mass or look, the good news is the journey back is full of health benefits too so you don’t really have to wait for 6-12 months once you get back to it, the ride itself is full of the good stuff.
  16. I'm jsut waiting to see what useless drivel he spews that is totally off subject during the press conference.
  17. LOL @ people buying a $700 option preseason for presumably a shitty lower. These aren't guaranteed yard line seats are they? Depending on the opponent $700 could be close to the total markup.
  18. You just know Trump is going totally mess up with that Russia meeting on Friday. Putin will run all over him.
  19. Funny enough @kibbles private messaged me asking me to throw hands in downtown Austin. @kibbles I’m about 5k miles from downtown Austin but I’ll pass. Some of us have families and a life to lose. You have to have thicker skin to post here. You will get negged if you post things that people disagree with
  20. Wordle 1,517 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟨🟩⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  21. Yeah, no sour grapes but from day 1 it seemed to me that we liked Finley as a prospect, but didn't love him.
  22. Sark's 3-stars in the Texas era (Thurs. 7:55am CST) - Gerry The 2024 crop of three-stars appears like it'll hit big. Dubose already transferred and Hills probably will, but the rest look like they're all starters or contributing backups this year already.
  23. It's definitely affected how frequently I talk to and see mine. And that fucking sucks. They've always been Rush/FOX "conservatives" (shit, so was I by osmosis), but they at least had the decency to keep that shit in check in polite company. The combination of Trump, COVID, and internet/social media in your pocket* has just broken so many people, especially seniors, where the floodgates for appropriate conversation have been breached. They find ways to bring the most innocuous comments back to politics--California stealing everyone's taxes, people wearing masks in cars, BLM, men playing women's sports, all the hits--at every opportunity. It's exhausting and a beating to be around. *as with most, I'm sure, my Dad started small with morning check-ins to see what Drudge had to say and maybe a little O'Reilly Factor at night. Now, with smart phones, it's a constant addiction to Truth Social and OAN/Newsmax/etc.
  24. Exactly. And should Nike choose to go down this path, I’ll take the Brand with a $55+B valuation over the competing Brand with a $28+B valuation. I mean, I get it- Adi is “having a moment” as we say in the industry. They’ve been on a roll for the last 20-24mo’s. Either one of Samba, Gazelle, Spezial and Campus are on damn near every white suburban Girl in America. And now if you walk through the Mall (yuck), you’ll see the SuperStar plastered all over FLocker/Champs, JD/Finish Line, Shoe Palace and Journeys’ windows. Hell, even at a few select Famous Footwear - Bjorn (Gulden, Global president) & John Miller (US Pres.) aren’t screwing around. They see an opportunity and are going for it- however, have no fear- Once the street- meaning the “real” Streets (NYC/Balt/DC/HTown, Chi-town/East StL, etc etc) all get tired of folk the Suburban Kids, they’ll break off again and jump back on the Swoosh. It’s the cycle. It’s been going this way for the last 50yrs.
  25. NFL uniforms peaked ~1970.
