  2. UUUU is going bonkers pre-market. Hopefully we break $15 today!
  3. Skepticism is how we roll. I just mean we watch videos and go to podcasts that most people aren’t aware of. There are some podcasters in the true crime community I absolutely LOATHE. But I will still take a look at their information if they have scoop. Like TMZ is a similar thing. Sometimes they have a good source. Like when they obtained that camera footage of the shooter walking/ limping to campus. So all I mean is we don’t disregard a piece of evidence simply because of the source but we try extremely hard to get corroborating sources. So if we can’t, we still consider what the source says, but we don’t give it as much weight, it’s kinda like a Venn diagram basically. most of us are mappers in how we build our cases. If any of this shit makes sense. hopefully the court appearance is earlier in the day. It doesn’t sound like the assassin is cooperating at all right now.
  4. Simpsons… I mean The Jackal did it.
  5. Kimmel said last night that Patel always looks like he just got hit by a Volkswagen.
  6. Isn’t that what Charlie did with black ppl?
  7. Watched it a couple of weeks ago with the family. I'd have to say it's my favorite MCU movie since Endgame.
  8. RIP to a damn icon. Redford persona and charisma overcame his inability to play by Hollywood's conventional rules. A true artist. The greatest ending of any baseball movie ever....
  9. Nice last two posts, Brat.
  10. Chicos is fine. Def worth trying. Kinda like trying Skyline chili. Gotta have it once
  11. He apparently started out pretty liberal according to his bio. After graduating Richmond and then Pace (very mid) law school, he worked as a public defender in Florida and then as a federal public defender. A PD that gives a shit will work pretty hard just because of the caseload. He probably gave a shit as a state public defender or they wouldn't have hired him as a federal public defender, where shit-ass pleading of clients is not an accepted practice. So, it seems in his early career, he worked pretty hard and for less than awesome pay (compared to a white shoe firm for example). Then he got on the political grift, including political appointments where he learned he could just sit around and talk shit and get paid pretty decent wages. The FBI director job is making him work again, despite his efforts to turn it into a years-long Vegas vacation. That and his underqualification for the job probably explain his recent expressions.
  12. That’s going to be such an ugly game, but I predict we mudhole them 6 to 5
  13. On mobile go to the three lines at the top then account>ignored users>add new user to ignore list, and you have to type it out.
  14. I’d love to know more about how conversations went in the B12 office, but I probably never will. I suspect, with Texas in the conference, there was a desire among the other schools to not let the big rich kid get its way all the time (along with resentment over the LHN, which they clearly saw as a thing that was taking away money that should go to them). With Texas gone, this conference of equals can focus on addressing issues of officiating quality. I imagine none of the schools have a problem with that.
  15. We have 3 in the top 35. Texas is Kicker U!
  16. Fun fact: Tim Capello is doing a cover version of the song as it was originally released by The Call (from Santa Cruz where the film was shot) a year before the movie’s release

  18. Can I cancel a second time? I shot my wad when Jeffy-Jeff turned heal earlier.
  19. one of the key assumptions you are incorrectly making is that the status quo before DEI = race, sexual orientation, religion, etc are not being used in hiring decisions. this isn't accurate at all. the accusations are being demonstrated and justified over and over again, you are simply covering your ears and shouting "agree to disagree". this is also why I don't believe that you have an accurate read on the impect of DEI in your life and career.
  20. You want something that's not lazy? In my quest to understand the ballistics behind the shot and whether Kirk was wearing body armor or not, I ran into this guy. Who thinks a guy behind Kirk had a cellphone gun. Yes, a cellphone gun. https://x.com/i/broadcasts/1ZkKzZakMqdKv

  22. As somebody studying computer science and working in IT when that movie came out, I loved the shit out of that movie and still do today. Loved the cast. Loved that it started out as a sequel to War Games. Putting aside Redford and the rest of the cast, it's a well-made/tightly-edited movie.
