  3. NYT The slavery of template language: Fierce condemnation? Fierce? Oooooooh, words like a tiger. College grad, elite newspaper writing. Derailing a diplomatic resolution? Link When was it ever railed to begin with? I guess in the template for armed conflict it was there from the start because, well, because laziness. At last, the tame, cowardly NYT finds someone they quote to describe what has been self-evident for over a year. Whew! But oh noes! There's another side to the story! The murderers have doubts about those saying they murder. Poor NYT, varnishing truth and accuracy yet again. But, Roma, how would we, the esteemed New York TImes, know there was famine? kate.loughrey@icloud.com The word famine existed long before the UN. One didn't require special dispensation to declare it. It was certainly never meant to be a word whose non-usage implies that killing hunger is not present. Picture from more than a year ago: Most Americans probably don't care, anyway, but the NYT and other mass outlets should present the clear picture so their readers can decide for themselves. So many things bringing our world down. So few things being done by the powerful to stop them.
  4. So a defensive score then?
  5. Let's say this comes to be. Or even in this direction. What plays get busier? Any older plays open back up a bit?
  6. I understand that insiders are dealing with a kind of tension. Their job is to tell us what is actually going on - that's what we pay them for. But they can't tell us everything relayed in confidence, because that could cost them their access. That's not an easy line to walk and I am sympathetic. But don't piss on my neck and tell me it's raining. I've got eyes and I'm not dumb. To be clear, however, I'm not just talking about Bobby. He's in the same jackpot as the rest of them, but he usually shoots it pretty straight and will tell you what he really thinks.

  8. She remade Freaky Friday and Gen Alpha is salivating over those 66 year old cannons.
  9. Can someone who actually witnessed the bad parts of the video explain this? Did it look like he was hit with a .30-06?
  10. nothing has changed, voters have always only cared about things they were told to care about.
  11. Hmmm. There’s been a small amount of complaining about going to 44 regular season games already. Will the players now be open to going to 17 postseason games instead of 15?
  12. Is there any way that I can get a message to him about a great opportunity in helping me defraud my country out of millions of dollars? I can give him 80% and all I need is his bank account information.. Regarding andouille sausage, it is a natural in gumbo or red beans.
  13. I was at a Haynes and Boone breakfast last week and the Wood Mac speaker was very bullish on it as well.
  14. I saw them strap up after the match. Very cool.
  15. Is the Director of the FBI wearing a Liverpool tie to a Senate hearing?
  16. Although EIA has been bearish on oil, they're quite bullish on natty in the short-term: Latest average price per MMBtu forecasts: Q3 '25: $3.04 Q4 '25: $3.72 Q1 '26: $4.25 Q2 '26: $3.64 Q3 '26: $4.26 Q4 '26: $4.99
  17. It's not just losing to the bottom dwellers, it's also the four catastrophic injuries that will happen
  18. Why Fascists Hate Critical Thinking Randi Weingarten’s new book, Why Fascists Fear Teachers, reveals why Trump and the right demean teachers, slash school funding, and rewrite history https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/randi-weingarten-excerpt-fascists-hate-critical-thinking-1235428379/
  19. Some of the OSINT folks have been pointing out some interesting stuff This whole thread is an interesting read, compiling reports of fuel shortages/reductions by region, and how fuel is being shuffled around (who is getting it, who is being left out, etc.).
  20. It really feels like the only thing keeping the Right from fully freaking out right now is the stock market. Whether they participate or not, that's what they're hanging their hat on. Everything else is complete shit and they all know it. The economy is terrible, Trump's tariffs are a disaster, the morale in this country is incredibly low. If/when the stock market crashes, the real chaos begins.
  21. Huntsville State Park? Something on Richland Chambers?
  22. Watergate might have been the last time.
  23. I'd hope that Bobby is just playing his part here and the reality is somewhat different. It doesn't do anyone any good for the coaching staff to panic publicly. For all we know, they told Bobby "holy shit, the guy looks more like Taryn Manning than Peyton Manning, and we have no idea why - but don't print that, we'll be fine".
  24. The problem with railroad infrastructure is that it's easy to hit, but also easy to fix. Maybe they go after the engines with more enthusiasm?
