  1. Past hour
  2. Yep. There’s still 50 years remaining on her reign which included the largest expansion of the British Empire in history.
  3. I can't wait to see him play next year.
  4. Their values say only give a Trans Am to a worthy player. Their morals say do not dirty yourself with Whataburger bags instead Fed-Ex the payments. Their ethics say that you only shovel shit on the Texas band and their god fearing ways makes them righteous when they are racist and homophobic.

100%. I've been a massive music junkie since the 80's. I still love some of the stuff I listened to then -- 80's/early 90's REM, Smiths, New Order, Violent Femmes, Echo, Stone Roses, etc -- but mostly have moved on as things have changed. I was pretty set in my ways in the 90's but started getting into "new" indie music in the early '00s with Interpol, Strokes, The National, etc. I've completely converted my wife over to mostly indie music (she was a Nashville country dreck listener when we met), which has been awesome. We mostly listen to XMU for newer stuff that we don't find other places. We also hit a couple of music festivals per year (mostly High Water in Charleston and Kilby Block Party in SLC). Four of my top five artists on this year's Wrapped are still actively releasing new music: My Morning Jacket, Caamp, Father John Misty and Lord Huron. The one that isn't (Luna) still plays the odd show and I just saw them for the first time ever in Dallas at the first of this month. (Somehow I missed them back in the 90's/00's but have fallen in love with this band the last 3-4 years.) Despite all the new stuff we listen to, my wife asked me the other day who my favorite band was. I thought about it for a minute and decided if I still have to pick a #1, I think it's still Radiohead. I don't listen to them as much as more "active" bands but I think they're still top of the heap for me. That could change -- and honestly, I kind of hope it does because it means I've found something I consider that is better. But, yes, I agree with you that I immediately roll my eyes any time I hear somebody my age (or age adjacent) tell me there's no good new music out there. There absolutely is. You just might need to look a little harder to find it.
  6. And I’m not that type of doctor. Never mention anal leakage to me. TIA
  7. This. We have spent decades creating, cultivating, and magnifying the very worst of humanity. That won't go away just because they realize that Trump is a crooked dick. In fact, that revelation may well deepen their devotion. The American people love mean, malevolent dickheads who hurt "the other." They are getting what they want and love.
  8. With Reed at QB it doesn’t matter who A&M brings in at WR. I wonder if they’ll have the cojones to upgrade over Reed
  9. He’s definitely feeling the cheeziest
  10. I recall the “haven’t seen many dotard flags” discussion right before the 2024 election too. Let’s not start sucking each other’s dicks just yet.
  11. A&M is going to blow their wad in this one
  12. Georgia and LSU are the main ones bidding here
  13. Just blow the whole load on Baugh and Coleman
  14. Goosby/Wingo prefer as much money as possible while remaining at Texas, while Texas prefers to keep Goosby/Wingo for as little money as possible hope that helps
  15. I very briefly considered Taysom over Kyle Pitts but didn't go through with it. One of my rare smart moments. I'm a big underdog tonight anyway. Down 42 points with just Stafford and Pitts left to go. I'm not dead dead, but they'd both need to have pretty big games. Frustratingly, the difference may end up being the Raiders' absolutely pathetic offense (opponent used NYG defense and it paid off).
  16. Just said the 3 schools main schools mentioned for him were us, OU and OSU
  17. Avatar movies are a great example of the death of monoculture (most likely due to internet/iPhone/social media booms). They are massive financial successes and loved by tens of millions , but many people are also completely oblivious to them. You couldn't avoid the Titanic popularity even if you tried.
  18. Day and Kirby both coached for a natty in year 2.
  19. Cold front headed to Orlando. Still looks great for the game. 56 degrees at kick. Sunny Wind 8 MPH
  20. Rich Rod had no support from Lloyd, and the Michigan Man crowd. I would think they learned something, but time will tell. All that said, Rich Rod and Hoke era was one of my favorite times at UM. Go Green
  21. OK, I'm starting Death by Lightning today. Look forward to it. The wife wanted me to watch the trailer for The Beast in Me to see if I'd be interested. I love Matthew Rhys. I could give or take Claire Danes. She's no Keri Russell, that's for sure. Looks like reviews for Beast above have been rather ho-hum. The trailer looks interesting. Personally, I'm trying to keep my wife focused on Slow Horses. I'm rewatching with her (she'd never seen it before) and then we'll both watch Season 5 without having seen it. (If she lags too far behind, I'm just going to start S5 without her. Can't believe I've exercised my restraint for S5 for this long already but I didn't want to start until all episodes were out.) Based on my rewatch, I'm even more certain Slow Horses is the best show on TV.
  22. My philosophy on chopping the trinity is the opposite: as small of a dice as I can do casually. I won’t obsess over it, but I want the chunkiness to be from the protein and okra (if using). I find that if you’re slurping down a bowl of gumbo, you don’t dislike onions and peppers though you may think you do; it’s not a salad or sandwich or fajita where you are getting them in big pieces you chew. It just kind of goes down. Not a criticism of @ROFL BOX . I am a bit of a fascist on cooking: I’ll accommodate allergies and religious restrictions, and if you warn me in advance I’ll do my best with vegan or vegetarian options. Beyond that, I cook what I like as good as I can and if it’s not your taste then I’m sorry you are so limited.
