  1. Past hour
  2. But more drama than expected at the end, I’ll give ‘em that.
  3. Pretty fucking hilarious. Not every joke landed for me, but I laughed a lot.
  4. We all knew the Jake shit would be drawn out.
  5. You really just hope for the worst in the lives of people who say the things she did in those 23 seconds. Just the absolute worst kind of human. She's getting off people being dragged out of court hearings. I am just going to assume the N around her neck is for Nazi and not her name going forward.
  6. Best comment: "Who would have guessed Gene Wolfe would say "son of a bitch, motherfucker" before Harlan?
  7. So she's taking the Bohls/Justice by extra negative about the Longhorns avoid looking like a homer? Wonderful. Another one of those is just what we needed
  8. Birthright citizenship hasn't always been sacrosanct - it's been taken away from various out groups at various times. In doing some genealogical research I came across a naturalization certificate for my great-grandmother. The hell? I knew her; knew she had been born in Dundee, Illinois to American parents; knew she probably had never even left the country in her lifetime. It turns out that, due to the Expatriation Act of 1907, if an American woman married a foreign national she had to take his citizenship and forfeit her American citizenship (and no, of course it didn't work the other way). At the time there was no dual citizenship and there was a backlash against immigrants, which is somewhat of an American pastime. My great-grandfather was a Danish citizen who had not yet naturalized as an American, so she became a subject of the King of Denmark (apparently in his Spokanish Realm) and no longer an American. It wasn't until the 1930s that she was allowed to become an American citizen again - but only after having to go through the naturalization process. All that to say there is precedent for revoking birthright citizenship, and although Congress actually passed a law in that case, this SCOTUS seems to have no particular care for that sort of thing when it suits them.
  9. You shouldn’t able to start a term if you are over 65. Period.
  10. Today
  11. I was just thinking earlier that this is prime Carl season. Thots and big booties to balance the cheese puns, cat facts, and horror movie nightmares.
  12. Jerrin Thompson
  13. I'm like Vic in that my GAF meter is at the lowest it can be. Cowboys win? Okay. Cowboys lose? Okay. I just know that as long as Jerry Jones is the owner and GM we will never play meaningful football in January and February.
  14. A couple of weeks ago things were pretty slow at work, and I ended reading/reading about several court cases involving birthright citizenship. The judicial record with regards to the SCOTUS is pretty consistent and pretty clear. Most of it involved Chinese or other Asian immigrants on the west coast, but the results were pretty consistent. I really dont get how they think they have the legal justification for what they are doing right now unless they think the law doesn't apply to them, which it seems they think.
  15. In aggyland. Shocking.
  16. Surly trained AI would be funny as fuck.
  17. Too bad eskimo took over cause the collective bailed on much better content from the old site. Imma sitting on a goldmine if fn Reddit getting paid. AI trained off UT boards should be worth multiple of that crap.
  18. Only 3 1/2 years.
  19. The Mandy/Keith fuel bullshit was dumb, but whatever.
  20. Heading to Vancouver on Tuesday for a week.
