  2. I was thinking last night, "I'm not sure if either Jude Law or Jason Bateman has made a smart decision yet through about 2.5 hours. How on Earth have they managed to live this long."
  3. He’s moderately better than Sophie B. Hawkins.
  4. Read up. The current thought is that he was villainous. Who knows if this thought will change over time. When I was growing up, he was thought of as a hero. Either way, most of the atrocities were documented by a single source who wasn't reliable and who had ulterior motives. There was also animosity towards Columbus. Some of the thoughts are that this animosity was because he was possibly of Jewish decent and had ancestors who were forced to convert to Catholicism. And while widely considered Italian and born in the city-state of Genoa, new DNA evidence presented in 2024 suggests Christopher Columbus may have had Spanish or Sephardic Jewish origins, though this research is still pending peer review. For centuries, written records and documents have also indicated a Spanish or Portuguese heritage for Columbus. Anyway, when you do read up, google something specific like Christopher Columbus upbringing and early childhood.
  5. I see they've switched announcers on the 1st tee. Tough break for that chick, she got sacked after 1 round.
  6. You mean like this sassy bitch right here. Chased us out of the field, shut the gate and she eye-fucked us until we left.
  7. Oh, I'm with you on that. I'm just positing that there are alternatives, but I'm no doctor.
  8. Go to the kosher HEB there on Far West, buy some liver, and cook it in the house. Also buy some febreeze. Nah screw that, get Conans one more time.
  9. What are the chances that a high fever in a pregnant woman could cause a real developmental issue with a fetus? I bet the risk is loads higher than the possibility of Tylenol causing autism.
  10. Google isn't helping me out here.
  11. That’s probably why I didn’t like it by the end. A bunch of unlikable fuck ups just keep fucking up. Fun!
  12. I'll take 2-2 in a heartbeat. Only 8 points are given out each of the first 2 days. Down 5-3 is nothing.
  13. To get this thread back on track - there are more and more "regenerative" farms popping up. Farms like White Oak Pastures. 6th generation farming in GA. Will Harris (owner) was on the JRE and really broke down his system, how it is magnitudes better than factory farming AND mono-crop agriculture. Vertically integrated, almost zero-waste models that is all on-site and scalable multi-species rotational grazing holistic mgmt no chemicals soil building/composting full utilization on-site slaughter soil sequesters more carbon that the livestock emit over their lifetimes many environmental awards for their work.
  14. Good for JJ. Awesome start for him.
  15. So fucking dumb. What are we supposed to do about it?

  22. Since February, the stock has dropped from approximately $138 to $89. Roughly a 35% loss. They had lost around 20% of their value in the year before that. Tariffs were an additional drag, but the boycott has endured. If raw numbers and timelines are less honest than the “mostly factual” Morningstar, then fine, but I don’t follow your math.
  23. See, folks....even Twice is starting to get it.
  24. More Americans disapprove than approve of Jimmy Kimmel being taken off the air, a new Economist/ YouGov/ poll reveals. A majority of those polled also believe the government has no place pressuring broadcasters to remove content it finds objectionable. The survey — conducted Sept. 19-22 with 1,551 U.S. adults — comes after ABC News’ parent company announced on Sept. 17 that it was removing Kimmel’s show “indefinitely.” ***** In the survey, 48% of respondents said they disapprove of ABC’s decision to pull Kimmel’s show from television. Thirty-six percent said they approve and 16% said they were not sure. On this question, a massive partisan divide emerged. The vast majority of Democrats, 83%, and 51% of independents said they opposed the network’s decision, while 73% of Republicans said they favored it. Respondents were also asked: “Do you think it is acceptable or unacceptable for the government to pressure broadcasters to remove shows that include speech it disagrees with?” A decisive majority, 68%, described this behavior as unacceptable, while just 13% said it is acceptable and 19% said they were undecided. Here, again, a noticeable divide emerged across the political spectrum. Most Democrats and independents — 88% and 74%, respectively — characterized this type of pressure as unacceptable, while a 42% plurality of Republicans said the same.
