  1. Past hour
  2. lol, was that Jokic pass to himself off the rim on purpose?
  3. Worst part of that was the fucking portrait mode and the text covering up some of the action.
  4. That TD should just about put out the lights for this one. Steelers looked good.
  5. I think it's obvious losing Sullivan off the staff hurts most at middle blocker. It's not just his acumen in developing the position. It's his advocacy in how the team should be run around the position. Sullivan helped make the position a priority. I will say while Ames is a very good middle blocker, she never exactly jumped out of the gym. I guess I was expecting someone who looked more like Andi Jackson. Singletary looked like what I think of when I envision a star middle blocker at Texas. Frankly, Harvey has that look athletically, but just looks lost as a college level middle blocker. Her lateral and vertical speed look off the charts, but her instincts don't appear to exist. Bunton looks like a very solid MB2. Better potential than Bergmark, who I was very satisfied with. My worst case scenario is that Ames transfers to A&M and Morrison develops her into a powerhouse. That would make it challenging to recruit against A&M for top middle blockers in the future. But I had a similar fear about Lexi Sun and Nebraska, and that worked out fine. Losing starters in Singletary and Ames in back to back years is not a good look regardless, and makes it challenging to compete for national championships. This team would have looked different with Singletary in the lineup, IMO. We'll see where she lands. I have no doubt wanting to win a national championship is what she's putting out there, but people say all kinds of things. Rumors that Wisconsin is a likely destination. I'm interested to see if she goes somewhere she can serve. Also, she's putting out there she wants to play more opposite. Not sure which national championship team is going to want her at that position, but what do I know? It's highly likely she (her agent, her club coach) was already contacted before she entered the portal, because that's how this stuff works a lot of the time.
  6. Agreed, I don’t think she played to her fullest potential here. I also don’t think she would’ve been playing at Nebraska over Jackson/Allick based on her production here, but I could be wrong. I am hoping maybe JE already has someone in mind.
  7. He's not a playoff rotation guy I told y'all that in September.

    Joe Ely RIP

  9. Pretty obvious why the Nuggets aren’t playing Cam Johnson more. The guy couldn’t defend a ham sandwich. Okogie looks like shit tonight. A walking turnover.
  10. Hoping there’s a plan will get your ass fired! Are we gonna have to ask Tech how to get needed portals? We are better than tha!
  11. The ship carrying Cam Ward and Fernando Mendoza has sailed.
  12. I read someone say that Moore never gets open on his own and every big play he had here was due to great scheme. Now that I think about it, that's spot on.
  13. Off the record, on the QT, and very hush hush Outstanding movie. The oscar for adapted screenplay was much deserved. I love the book and am still amazed at how it was turned into that screenplay.
  14. Notre Dame comes across as reluctant to join a conference out of concern that they would struggle to measure up to the image they have cultivated in the past and lose status as a serious threat to win national or even conference titles. They are upset over this years omission from the playoffs exposing the cherry picking schedule route may not hold up like it used to. Time to adjust expectations and deal with an unfamiliar reality. Edited to add that I’ve been on a boondoggle bender since noon and may not know what I’m talking about, but still pretty sure. 😁

    Joe Ely RIP

He played a small private event in Lubbock a few years ago that I attended. After he played to a bunch of rich geezers, he was quietly packing his gear and I walked up and said I enjoyed the show. He shook my hand, in a shy kind of way said thank you, and went back to putting his guitar in a case. I am a big fan of his and he always seemed so boisterous and larger than life. In that moment, he was small and looked tired. I wish I had offered to help him carry some stuff out. He probably would have said “I got it.”
  16. Not terrible for $14.
  17. The next time they sell me a hazmat bottle, it’ll be the first. Glad to get one north of 135 proof. Reviews have great. I’m excited to try it, but it’s probably going to have to wait until January.
  18. Y'all need Durant on the floor. Also - let that Sheppard kid shoot, Holy fuck.
  19. https://pecantownbooks.com/ Most likely is Pecantown Books and they serve beer, wine, coffee, some food as well as having books. The owners are good people.
  20. I've listened to some of his stuff (not much), and he can be like Zeihan and a little long-winded, but he seems good for those not following things too closely and who aren't aware of a lot of the day-to-day stuff (and can be listened to in the background).
  21. I want to clown on a QB in #0
  22. Here's an idea for your machine: don't ram AI down our throats.
  23. Cheerleaders and an old alligator.
