Lulz. Without knowing about this thread, I just showed my mom the end of Signs and The Sixth Sense. When I read @Parliament's post, my brain got really confused. /wine

Ok, that was my read of the situation, and I wasn’t sure whether I’d just read it wrong.

It occurs to me that a fun and pretty rational demand would be the pay owing between the 12-18 months it actually takes to get a clearance and the post-hoc demand for one in 90 days. So, like 9-15 months of pay.

I’m ready for Star Trek Enterprise sick bay open scanning technology. But hey, I want a teleporter so I don’t have to deal with TSA and long flights too. My primary site tumor was a foot long, weighed ten pounds, and had grown thru the back wall of my large intestine and was pushing on my spine. I had tweaked my back in the past so I thought my back pain was just associated with an old injury. Had about 60 lymph nodes involved and 6-8 tumors in my liver, with the two largest being in the lower lobe and they were Silver Dollar sized. My first CT didn’t know all the lymph involvement and only showed one little shadow on the liver. The PET/CT, however, made my liver look like the surface of the moon. I went thru shock and sadness and about three days and moved into being furious pretty quickly. It helped. Fuck cancer. All of it. Every form in every part of the body.

I guess Signs was his best role because he just disappeared into pretending to be Mel Gibson.

Could have left Mayo in to do that. -
Just a sidenote on this. Choice (or Conflict) of law, that is, which law governs an interstate dispute, is one of the thorniest questions in law. You can choose a governing law in a contract, but it's still subject to second-guessing according to choice of law rules. It's so nasty, there's even a Restatement on Choice of Law all by itself. Restatements are usually reserved for entire bodies of law, like torts, contracts, or unfair competition. So, like most questions in law, "it depends." But probably even a bit more than usual.

So OU can be the Oakland A's of college football. I'm okay with that.

Epstein files update (there are no Epstein files)
staboner replied to Gil Bang's topic in Cloak Room
i guess, the complication on the coverup for the Rs, is the people in the current cabinet actually cared about the Epstein files and Trump couldn't figure out a way out of it and around all of them -
Epstein files update (there are no Epstein files)
staboner replied to Gil Bang's topic in Cloak Room
its not complicated - they are all on it. them + others in finance, actors, anyone and everyone, assuming it even fucking exists. i would think, apart from Twice's legal answer, the Ds hoped the arrest of Jizzlaine would quiet it up. The republicans are catching more shit because 1) we are a regarded society who can only think about the now, 2) they fucking ran on it as a platform, and 3) they are in power. the sheer stupidity and wait, lets say incompetence of the Republicans in this is mind blowing. I would expect a fucking teenager with no concept of the consequences of their actions to find at least 10 places in this timeline to cover this up somehow. If you want a picture perfect snapshot of the complete disdain of the populace by DC and even more so the GOP - this is it. Too out of touch to bother making ANYTHING of this and fumbling the fucking ball at the goal line. over and over again. -

All Encompassing Mortgage and Real Estate Thread
CHIEF replied to UTPhil2006's topic in Business and Markets
I have a client that has been wanting a house under $500k, with a pool and at least 2300 sqft. One came up, in our neighborhood today for $430k, decent pool but the guy was a widower and the house needs at least $100k worth of remodeling, no sprinkler, yard is just weeds. The lot is probably a little less than a quarter acre. Truly an eyesore on the inside. Home prices are just ludicrous. That is $10k more than the 4500 sqft. custom built hunting lodge that my parents bought in 1981, and the lodge happened to come with 420 acres. The median home price has doubled since 2019. CHIEF -
yeah obviously. they keep pests in check. I’m gonna want that, 100%. you’d be an idiot not to want it. I bet you don’t want it, dumbass ohio dipshit.

For starters. And for the Hackensack Bulls to play a three-game exhibition game with the New York Yankees while you're at it, I guess.
