The Leopards Eating Faces and Unlubed Dildo of Consequences Thread

Upon further research, the interviewer is not THE Black Rifle guy, but seems to promote them. He's been on Fox and other righty stuff quite a bit, I didn't dig into what topics. If he's a Trumpkin, he sure seemed skeptical of the tariff policy and probably prompted knife guy to go some places he didn't really want to go. -
So excited to go to the SEC with these Tennessee assholes

Lulz. Vol coaching staff blurring out the QBs in videos where they throw INTs. https://www.on3.com/college/tennessee-volunteers/news/tennessee-football-posts-practice-highlight-but-blurs-out-qb-who-threw-int/ -
I used Sling plus the sports package last season. Was just looking at re-upping for this season, but def amenable to YTTV if the price is better.

See what happens when we don’t find some wacky tangent to talk about during the doldrums? -
Both a waste and the best money you can spend, IMO. Had our son not come home this weekend, I wouldn't have thought of hiring him. Wife and I just agreed to pay him $1,000 to be his sister's admission consultant and we're giving him an additional $1,500 to play with as bonus money to get her to visit three schools while he's here for a week or two (and he'll be in charge of taking her). He can use the money to bribe her to go if needed, so we'll see how the capitalistic aspect of that works. (Aside: son just came home a little early from his D.C. internship; will continue doing some agency work remotely while also doing a remote campus job that's pretty high in managerial responsibility, but he said he was going to work at the country club with a buddy as a fry cook to have something else to do while at home. Part of his duties are to read the Selingo book, which will be of help to him in his campus job.) Me: "Do you know if Jane is around this summer?" (not her real name: goes to MIT, is on an intercollegiate team in a common sport with my daughter) Daughter: "No." Dad messages Jane's mom, asks if she's around. Mom says she'll have Jane reach out. Me: "I know you're probably not going to like this, but I contacted Jane's mom to see if she's here this summer ..." Daughter: "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!!??!!?!! I see her every day in summer team gatherings!" Yep. I hear variants of your story over and over and over, @troph. We've got a family meeting coming up this week with some laying down of the law. Counting on son to be the moderating influence.

but not for Mack. he’s been a HC for three decades and he’s only won when he’s had a transcendent qb.
-
I don't disagree, but Phil Fulmer has a title. At some point talent can win out, even w/o a transcendent QB.

Texas Rangers 2025: Pitching has been fire. Bats not so much.
Pato del Muerto replied to ztejas's topic in Baseball
Tough to take seriously a team that keeps running joc out there to hit- and hitting 5th no less. And if you let him bat in the ninth, make him take 2 strikes after a leadoff walk and 2-0 count. -
As g-d is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!

it took mack like 20 years to win his first ever title of any kind, and it took him having VY (whose way mack had to get out of) for him to do it. mack is the epitome of a coach who turtles when the lights are brightest. if he didn’t have VY and Colt for 7 consecutive years his career resume screams “massive underachiever”. every mack brown title: 2005 and 2009 conference titles (VY and Colt) and the 05 national title (VY). he’s never won without a generational QB who could overcome his abject fear and loser mentality. mack cared waaaaay more about good kids and good families and all that than he did winnin, and that’s admirable as a human being, but it frankly made him uniquely bad at winning at the highest level.

The Knife guy came to the realization. That's what was so interesting to me. He's also a very discretionary and expensive item, whereas the coffee guy has a bit of a better position. But yes, there's a YUGE blindspot right now. I've been in consumer retail and people are in for a huge shock. It's not going to happen overnight but this time next year is going to look a lot different. Meanwhile, the stock market is at an all time high. -

I agree that percentage depletion has little economic basis than encouraging investments in energy. My personal experience has been with respect to individual royalty and WI holders who gladly take that perk. Much like those that take the EV credit. Congress does what congress does. I have a big hunch that there is a huge net positive economic impact to the federal budget and our overall economy from the energy industry. -

Biden should tweet tonight: "I'm proud very proud of my Presidency. Serving as your 46th President has been the honor of my life. And tonight, I'd like to share with American people one of my great success, of which, few are aware; that in my 4 years on office, I never once spoke with that Cuban-Canadian cunt from Texas, Rafael Cruz. Thank you for your attention to this matter". -

Man I hope so. We need to see some of the violence inherent in the system directed at elected representatives. but they will all be coming home after “making their point” and the vote will happen. Hopefully Newsom Pritzker et al make good on their promises threats to do the same

DeGrom needs to unfuck himself or this team has no shot at anything. This lineup just isn't good enough to consistently bail us out or score 5+.
