shane gillis is the funniest, most self aware, relatable comedian today and itβs not even close. and it is hilarious how many people with only surface level knowledge of him hate him, and think heβs maga, because they havenβt ever actually watched one of his specials or seen any of the thousands and thousands of podcast episodes heβs done. heβs self deprecating, self aware, and he likes to rile people up with a wink and a smile. the people who fall for it and get all upset over him or claim heβs not funny are only further proving how funny he is. i mean, on his very first special he straight up came out and said that he did not vote for trump, and then made fun of trump voters by going, βi know, itβs surprising, look at me, iβm his target demographic. theyβre just like, βhey, are you fat and stupid?β, iβm like, βyeah! hell yeah! what are we doing? we building a wall?β and here we are years later and half the population still thinks heβs a maga guy and are all upset about it. heβs actually got seriously upset on his podcast (which is super rare for him when heβs sober lol) at how ridiculous trumpβs cabinet were all acting at some ufc. he was legit pissed and kind of disgusted at how unprofessional and unbecoming it was for all of these trump appointees to be acting like idiots front row at a ufc fight. and still, have the country thinks heβs maga and hates him for it. the bottom line is this: every person iβve ever known or seen who has actively disliked shane gillis is someone who i would derisively refer to as a SJW. everyone on this site knows my politics and what a i stand for, it i really do hate the uber victim faction of left wing people who are triggered by everything, and straight up, if you actively dislike shane gillis then thereβs a 95% chance that thatβs you. lighten up.

Interesting copyright "dilemma." Oldham duly licensed "the Stones," and the Verve duly licensed Oldham, but not the Stones and the Stones, objected. The licenses implicitly admit copying, Oldham of the Stones and the Verve of Oldham, so the case was made for the Stones, most likely. Had there not been such an implicit admission, would the samples of Oldham have been "substantially similar" to the Stones?

I see folks saying the Mystic emergency plan was for girls to stay in the cabins leading up to a flood event. Is there any evidence of that or any journalist reporting that supports?

Epstein files update (there are no Epstein files)
TwiceHorn replied to Gil Bang's topic in Cloak Room
So, yeah, this is kind of interesting. In keeping with criminal justice norms, grand jury testimony is secret, and generally stays that way unless the presiding judge grants a motion to unseal it. And the basis of such unsealing usually is some kind of imperative need, like that of another defendant, not overwhelming public curiosity and the judge tends to be obligated to redact it to protect unindicted parties. Because no motion was made previously by Blondi/Patel, that shows that this was never going to be part of the disclosure, until now. And it would seem to be a fundamental part of the disclosure. Also, I assume this is grand jury testimony seeking an indictment of Epstein and/or Maxwell, in which case it would mostly be directed at them and not third parties, who were probably kept anonymous, even to the grand jury. -

I understand why it's difficult to do, but I really wish I could have the original soundtrack. For some reason, Canada is the level I was really missing when THPS1+2 came out. Haven't gotten past airport yet, but this is a fun trip down memory lane. Still a fun game.

Placing the credit at Brandon Harris' feet for the top 5 classes is ludicrous. On the list of reasons why Texas signed those classes, he isn't even sniffing the top 10. -

I get what your saying but that is still cool shit. As the game changed, it was something you never expected to see again. Growing up and hearing and watching replays of it, is forever embedded in it football, even for someone like me who misses it by a decade or so. I can imagine the fear it brought to the opposing team and fan base. As well as the confidence for us to have it and use it. For a brief moment just to see the formation in burnt orange to honor a legend is a nice touch. And for a moment we could all remember what once was for a second. To see it again and having it pop for 30+ yards was almost as poetic as Ricky's run.

Having seen the story, but not knowing much else other than references to alcoholism, sounds like they got big into the "church" part and maybe kinda forgot about that whole "steps" thing. I had not connected those dots, but you're probably spot on. -
