Or, hear me out, a desperate child trafficker who has already proven to be an unreliable narrator might not be the best source to underpin what would be the biggest political scandal in our nation’s history. -

Well Written Content OU Football 2025 - League Average & Loving It
closetojumping replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
I was just reading a Sooners Illustrated poster considered an “insider”. The guy is almost always wrong but he must have gotten something right at some point or be involved with the program verifiably, otherwise, I don’t get why they lend him credence. Anyway, his latest is that Dominic Williams now has a 1st round grade from the NFL and he’s the unquestioned leader of the entire team. Does the NFL give out grades in the winter and then come back, after zero ball has been played, and give new grades out after the spring? I’ve never heard of that. You know how I know that he didn’t have a first or second round grade in the winter? He’s still on the OU roster. He’s getting like $500k again. Ott has added a bunch of weight but he’s also faster and quicker. The Gibson guy from UAPB is truly amazing. He’s barely out of a boot, but he’s for real for reals good. These fucking guys start spouting this every year in the offseason from the OU camp. They wound up being right a lot when Stoops was in charge throughout the 2000’s. They’ve been a lot lately. It doesn’t change their behavior or how posters receive it. -

On your first point, part of the reason the the Military and Oligarchs would take over was because of the war with Ukraine. NOT because they support it and want to alter strategy, rather because they are against the massive drain on both the standing Russian Military and Russian Economy. Further, a coup/assassination in Russia followed by increased attacks in Ukraine increases the global thermo Nuclear option. Both of those are terrible for the Russian Oligarchs and Military leadership. So, no, I think a coup greatly reduces option 1 and 2 in my post above. As for US Tech Bro Oligarchs, it's less the actual tech itself that concerns me more the consolidation of power by having control and ownership of that tech in ADDITION to the tech control they already possess. I'm not in the camp of concern over Terminator power, while acknowledging the risk. Instead, I'm far more concerned about Terminator LIKE technology and power controlled by a small group of human Oligarchs, US or otherwise. I'm far more concerned about the situation prior to robots taking control. Hell, I might be pulling for the robots at that point.

I got jumped by some two KU fans in Lawrence. The woman was a 40-something, data-entry professional. She was overweight, and wore a brightly-colored polo, Old Navy stretch-jeans and a pink, acrylic fanny-pack, and a KU golf visor, plus giant pink sunglasses that looked like Gucci knock-offs. The man was in his 50's. He had an identity card attached to his short-sleeve button-down, which identified him as a state employee. He was overweight, so he wore straight-legged, medium-rise slacks with no pleats to minimize his bulk. His shirt should have been a size larger, as it pulled around the neck, so he left the top button open, which I thought was a good solution.

Harbor cruise is cool. Also the tour of the USS Constitution is interesting.

Fuck the police and DA. It makes me sick when the only thing they give a shit about is getting someone convicted for another win and not the lives of innocent citizens. This case is sickening just like the Ray Krone case and others. Wrongfully imprisoned Maryland man who spent 32 years behind bars sues former authorities | CNN

It just seems a little odd that facing the prospect of dying in prison after her arrest, Maxwell never said “I can give you former President Trump banging underage girls.” And if she did offer that up trying to strike a deal, the prosecutors said “wait, the guy who tried to overthrow the government and remain in power and is still claiming he won the election in courts all over the country and pisses all over American democracy? We’ll pass. You’re more important to us Maxwell.” If your response is “they couldn’t make that deal with her because Trump would then squeal on Clinton and all the rich and powerful Democrats involved in the pedophilia ring and Maxwell knew that too”, then you might need to scoot your chair on over to the QAnon side of the room. -

Didn’t know that. I’m sure there’s plenty I haven’t seen, though. Same. I flew once as a 2 year old and then didn’t fly again until I was 14. In between I watched that movie on cable with my older brother probably 10 times. I was terrified getting on that plane as a 14 year old. The one with Lithgow is from the movie, but yeah. He’s great in it.
