Oh here’s another one, I was an angel investor in 2013 or 2014 in a start up that later sold for $500m. I did great like 35x returns, but two things sucked - had to split half with my ex and we didn’t put enough in to be the end game. I guess I shoulda gone all in on that one.

Just caught up on the thread. How much did sjsu beat us by again. I watched the Georgia game and they should have lost to Austin peay.

It pretty much did ruin everything then, but things rapidly started going the right direction in 2013-2015 and has been pretty good since then. Won some, lost some but never went all in again. Real estate has sucked the last 3-4 years for us but this tough spot has been nothing like 2008-2012.

Spurs 2025 Off Season Thread - Popping Off
hornfan785 replied to Mitch Cumsteen's topic in Basketball
Sounds like the Spurs are creating a Baseline Bums 2.0 section. Wemby went live on the Spurs' instagram account to announce the launch of the "Ultras" section with tryouts this Sunday. https://www.nba.com/spurs/supporter -
Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

Oh really? -
“MIKE JUDGE SEVERELY UNDERESTIMATED OUR STUPIDITY” would be more accurate.

Are you talking about that bedroom picture? I think that ended up being fake.

They are trying to thread the needle on not rehashing too much of TOS as well as bridging this crew to TOS. I expect the episodes leaning up to “Pike ending up crippled” will be fucking amazing. All the pieces are there.

Susan Collins must find this attack very troubling.

yeah, basically what shadow op said. i used to hype up baris on the old site, it became a thing. then ivy snow showed up to shaggy, and one night i ended up at her house eating baris and posted about it here as a flex (lol). “im at this cam girl’s house and im plowing…this extra large baris pizza.” lol. shit does slam though.

What is your biggest business regret?
Bozo_Casanova replied to Vegas64's topic in Business and Markets
I remember we talked about this around 2012 when I was piloting my SaaS startup into the side of Bootstrap Mountain. When you described it I said something about how much more fun your company was than mine, and you basically responded that it was destroying your life. -
Y'all would be fortunate to get him if Campbell takes another job.

I dunno what, if any, influence bitching about Strong or Herman had, but the ultimate outcome was getting rid of them both. I'm okay with that reality.

It's a pizza & pasta joint in Round Rock/Pflugerville or some shit. Derk had a funny thread on Shag involving that & porn star Ivy Snow.

Texas Football 2025 - Playing With Our Food
Hookem2147 replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
I know a guy who interned at PFF a while back, and maybe the process has changed since he was there, but he said there is a lot left up to individual interpretation when they are grading stuff and you aren't getting the same person grading your game each week, so you are getting a lot of individual opinions. They use a lot of fancy jargon and say a lot of cool stuff in that article you linked explaining how they do stuff, but I am highly skeptical they are reviewing and grading games multiple times based on All-22 film (as they claim), considering how quickly they push out grades. I also still don't really understand the process of converting their plus/minus grades onto a 0-100 scale, where 60 is apparently an average grade and 80 is considered outstanding. It's a useful data point that usually backs up what we see with our eyes, but it ain't gospel. It's wild how many different stats, rankings and metrics you see thrown around nowadays. You can pretty much find something to fit any narrative you want. You think Texas special teams sucks? SP+ has Texas at 135th nationally. You think special teams have been okay? FEI has Texas at 20th. -
What's it like to be so fucking stupid that you think the Lions are just going to walk the dog and go 15-2 again? That the Packers winning in week 1 and Parsons having...checks notes... 1 sack and 3 pressures in week 1 means he'll take them all the way to the promised land??? We've seen this shit before.
