  3. Better than sirloin stockade from last year
  4. how was waffle house ?
  5. The premise is beyond absurd. I can't commit. The preview had me going nope. I'll read y'alls comments to verify.
  6. And certainly in a heavily regulated space like pharma/healthcare. I've lost far more money in small biotech than I have ever made. I swore them off for a while. Well shit, I guess it was.
  7. Thinking Biden said it: “Remove him from office now! Everyone must be regretting their votes for Biden now that he has said that one thing!” After learning Trump said it: “oh well I guess he made a silly. It could happen to anyone. Anyway….”
  8. That is not my contention. I am saying there is a clear connection between Reagan’s statement that the most terrifying words are from the government, and that I am here to help, through Norquist’s, “I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub,” to the desire to “burn it all down.” I will add that congressional Republican lockstep was a thing prior to trump. Reagan was a dementia addled criminal for whom Republicans covered, unlike their stance towards Nixon. To me, that was the genesis of the party of traitors.
  9. Wasn't that yesterday's news?
  10. How many mulligans are you giving him?
  11. That’s not even close to being true. B&B Butchers, Mesero, Doc B’s, Rise, Grimaldi’s, Cru, Fixe, and Malai Kitchen have all been in business since they first opened around 2018-2019. Clearfork isn’t my favorite area to dine out, but it seems to be very successful as all of those places have survived through Covid, far better than you could say about areas like downtown, Magnolia, or W 7th.
  12. I recently turned 60. And I get every vax that the doc recommends. I always have done so. I straight up asked about the shingles vax and got it. I have Kaiser insurance, and I take some trips that others might not take. for example, a few years back I went to the DR. I called Kaiser, they connected me to the "travel nurse", and she set me up with a vax or two and a RX or two to take in the event that I needed them. I didn't need them at all. The food was great, and the Presidente was so great that I drank several gallons.
  13. I've only made that drive a few times. If I had to make it for work, I would find a way to use Vonlane because fuck that drive.
  14. Both the American and European teams will be playing this week: Team USA in the Procore Championship and Team Europe in the BMW PGA Championship. However, both sides will have significant roster losses. Bryson DeChambeau will not be able to compete in Napa Valley, as he is banned by the PGA Tour due to his membership in LIV Golf. Xander Schauffele will also miss the Procore Championship due to a family matter, according to a report by Sports Illustrated. On the European side, only Sepp Straka will not tee off at the Wentworth Club, as he is taking care of his wife, who gave birth prematurely last month. This was the same reason he withdrew from the BMW Championship during the PGA Tour playoffs. The information was revealed by European captain Luke Donald, who added that he is not worried about Straka's form heading into the Ryder Cup.
  15. Roldan doesn't even play the same position for his club now as he did in his previous USMNT stint. He won't make the side, nor should he, but if you're using MLS players this window why not roll him out? This summer alone he's been a stalwart against the UEFA club champs, the CONMEBOL club champs, the CONCACAF club champs, the defending MLS and Liga MX champs, and Inter Messi. He'll go into coaching whenever he hangs it up, and my guess is he adds more to the side off the field than on (Weston McKennie said as much during Roldan's last USMNT appearance). Now, if he appears in many more open (non-MLS only) windows, then we have a problem.
  16. Like negotiations have been going well. Qatar had been playing with fire too long, it was bound to get burned. Yes, without a doubt. The US was aware, and informed the Qataris shortly before the strike, that we were not involved. There is a simple and straightforward way to end this.
  17. win by 40+ keep improving / clean up play have to spread the ball around more a defensive shut out would be impressive
  18. Girlfriend takes me out for a nice steak dinner for my birthday and I come home to see this shit. so mentally exhausting watching this team this year. players gotta perform but the manager has to lead. I don’t see anything from Espada doing that. I know he’s the goat but simply inexcusable from Altuve in the 10th and I hope it didn’t go unchecked
  19. Dumb... Ryder Cup: Rory McIlroy Gives Take on Team US Shirt Scandal The Team USA squad heading into the Ryder Cup has sparked major controversy with its promotional T-shirts for the event. The uproar centers on a striking detail: the shirts feature the silhouette of a golfer who appears to be none other than Rory McIlroy, one of Team Europe's biggest stars and a longtime rival. As expected, the matter quickly reached the Northern Irishman, who reacted tactfully, albeit with a humorous note. "It looks more than Adam Scott to me than me," McIlroy told Sky Sports at the Wentworth Club, where he will play in the BMW PGA Championship starting Thursday. "It looks a little similar. I don't know," he added. Regarding the possibility of thousands of American fans at Bethpage Black wearing his image on their shirts, McIlroy stated that he has no problem with that. "That's OK. That's fine. I won't mind that," he said. Team USA has not commented on this controversy. However, some voices in the golf world have raised doubts about whether McIlroy is indeed the player silhouetted in the image. Well-known golf swing analyst Luke Kerr Dineen opined on his X account that it is Scott in the image, and included an analysis of the swing seen in it to support his opinion. PGA Tour player Michael Kim, meanwhile, said that he believes the silhouette in the image belongs to Chris Kirk, also a player on the American tour. Kim stated that he is certain that it is not McIlroy. However, no one has been able to explain how it is possible that the promotional image of the American team for the Ryder Cup does not include a member of their own team, much less a player from another country or from the opposing team. The Ryder Cup will be played from Sept. 26-28 at Bethpage Black on Long Island in New York. The event pits American and European teams against each other in a program that includes matches in foursomes, fourball, and singles formats. The event has been held since 1927 and is considered one of the world's premier tournaments. It is played every two years at alternating venues in Europe and the United States.
  20. Police say they seized 23 guns from the home of a 13-year-old who appeared to idolize mass shooters https://apnews.com/article/arrest-juvenile-school-shootings-obsessed-guns-washington-9ab8d780175fecd5b4f10229507fc879?utm_source=copy&utm_medium=share# In Seattle. We are so very fucked.
