  2. In season 1 do they ever hint at Wee Bey's family? I remember him running choo choo on the chick that OD'd and picking D up to feed his fish in his apartment. I guess a hitter like Bey would probably have his own little side place to get away from Yolanda but I wonder if they just liked the actor and Namond's dad was originally supposed to Bird or Stink or another less charismatic Barksdale lifer
  3. anybody else got this yet? i haven’t even finished a career mode yet, and ive put in a pretty decent amount of time. still having a blast.
  4. Wow
  5. Blue turning the ball over is what kept the score close for one half.
  6. Today
  7. What this reminds me of is when you run across fans of some obscure band that wound up going mainstream. They got millions of new fans because more people were exposed to this cool music, but the original fans look at these new fans of the band, as well as the band itself, of being sellouts. I am going to watch because of Clark and if I can catch Bueckers when she has nationally televised games. Luckily I work with a woman who was a baller back in Palau and she represented her country on the court. We talk about a lot of players and she opens me up to the ones she really likes which is pretty cool. Clark is still why I watch, but knowing more from someone that played ball and loves the WNBA is cool.
  8. Aaron Humphrey
  9. Past Lives, a Korean and American film. It's slow and melancholic but also sweet. A nice break from the usual fast paced fare.
  10. The biography of Jayne Mansfield done by her daughter Mariska Hagerty is good. I had watched JM in The Wayward Bus and enjoyed it, so gravitated to the doc. It's always interesting how many very talented and intelligent women were keyholed into their personas by the men in Hollywood and NYC. Hedy Lamarr always stood out, but also Monroe and now Mansfield. How frustrating it must have been for them to be seen only for their body or looks.
  11. Happy to see him break down that Mississippi State game. I don't know why - whether it was the terrible game flow and close score for 3 quarters, playing a shitty SEC team, or something else - but it felt at the time like our fanbase really didn't appreciate how good Arch was in this game. Mississippi State bled a lot of clock with 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. But Arch was phenomenal, with lots of wow plays that we haven't seen at QB for a long time. The Johntay drop on 3rd and long (easy TD) was basically a turnover and still pisses me off. Arch played an A/A+ game, if it was a B+ or less the game could have been a nail biter at the end. I don't give a shit if it was against bad competition, the film doesn't lie.
  12. My local cant pronounce my name so its always, oooh guy like the mooshooo. Yes, i like the mooshoo.
  13. Novak didn’t look done to me today. Sinner played top level tennis and was lucky as hell to be there. With no dominant men outside of Sinner and Alcaraz it wouldn’t take a whole lot for Novak to wake up and find himself in a major final again.
  14. Kendall Scudder acknowledges flooding, but talks about redistricting and why it's so important to Abbott. Standing up, throwing down.
  15. I had tears flowing reading that, thinking of my kids and what that family has and will go through. My God, have mercy on their souls.
  16. https://www.nytimes.com/1981/10/18/sports/arkansas-led-by-quarterback-upsets-texas-42-11.html I'll never forget my Dad and I listening to the radio call of that debacle unfolding in the car. We were in disbelief, and then the car overheated in Bailey's Prairie, Texas, of all places to break down, on October 17, 1981. 42-11 -- Still too soon! I still think that cocksucker coach of piggy back then, Lou Holtz, had Texas' headsets bugged. Fuck Lou Holtz!
  17. Looked solid. Active defensively and his shot release his quick af
  18. Bullshit. Sloth was a tender hearted soul who sacrificed himself to save others. The exact opposite of Dotard
  19. Yeah, but does he get on his hog and crash it?
  20. IMO it is coordination. Clark has the most coordination in the league by a mile. The way she plays looks familiar to most NBA fans. Sure she is not Gary Bird but it is the first time you are seeing such a high level of play that is also visually appealing to mainstream basketball fans. Reece has the coordination of a bear.
