  1. Past hour
  2. Paul Sunderland and Salima are still the best VB announcing duo What we get now sucks - Loeb, Emily Ehman, Sam Gore, Courtney Lyle (YUCK), Shelby Coppedge (blah), Frede, Katie George I swear, if you did a drinking game for how many times Emily Ehman and Shelby Coppedge bring up a defender's "platform," you'd be drunk by the media TO of the first set.
  3. I don't mind it because he has a 1.5 BB9, I like my closers that throw strikes.
  4. Well, you see, Donald Trump does a lot of really bad shit. If the media reports the news with basic facts, and those facts include the bad shit he is doing, then that media source is then liberal and biased. NPR would be a good example. If Jimmy Kimmel shows a clip of Donald Trump acting like a jackass, that’s offensive. If people post quotes of Charlie Kirk online that make him look racist or misogynistic, then the people posting the quotes, and not the infallible Charlie Kirk himself, are in the wrong. How dare someone take one of his racist comments out of context and try to tarnish the memory of a good Christian man. John Oliver has to be next on the chopping block.
  5. First, They Came for Jimmy Kimmel What happens when comedians are held to stricter standards than vice presidents? https://www.thebulwark.com/p/emergency-triad-first-they-came-for?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
  6. My favorite thing is how MSS posts in the middle of the night now so he doesn't have to interact in real time.
  7. name a few. i probably wont argue, but back in the day blantons was the goat of every day drinkers/always on the shelf. there are about 50 unicorns i'd rather have than blantons, but i cant think of a bottle on the shelf every day today that i'd rather have. as far as trade bait goes, that must mean people have stockpiled, because it's still pretty sought after.
  8. If you don’t see the difference between viewer pressure and government pressure, then perhaps you should think on it more.
  9. Early 2000's it was livable for them. Yeah they liked skiing inside the mall. Lot of time at the ocean. Weekends up in the mountains or dessert parks. Abu Dhabi was not what it is today. Not at all. My kids speak English, Spanish (pretty fluent), French (pretty good) and basic Arabic. So for Elementary school that ain't bad. I mean, I might know. I spent almost 8 years based out of there. It was let the kids live in a really nice house, friends of all over the world where they got to still see their dad most of the time, or nah, leave them back in Texas and rarely see them. But I know what you mean. I never liked it but it was the best place to work out of. I would never go back. It has gotten a shit ton worse and we got out of there as the pivot started.
  10. I think this was the point where it looked like there was discussion going on about possible crowd interference. Of course the commentators were not helpful... Related comment: why is it so hard to get good commentary for these games? I mean, I know it's not D1 football coverage...oh damn...those suck too...nevermind...
  11. Compare what they said, chicken shit. Think critically.
  12. You realize that these are both fake posts, right? How can someone possibly be this gullible?
  13. What is the point of the House hearing with Patel? Just more political theater? Congress isn’t going to do shit, just like they aren’t going to do shit to RFK Jr.
  14. Still doesn’t make sense to me. DNA found in plasma doesn’t appear, in my searches, to be limited by regulation. The DNA in plasma is donated by the public. I would think DNA found in vaccines is from cells grown in laboratories, and free from the vagaries of a random procurement. I get an abundance of caution, and perhaps the need for plasma can override the niceties of such caution, otoh, this doesn’t convince me the threat is greater than the reward.
  15. Dude, Dubai is the most artificial place on earth. I'd pick it over say Somalia for raising kids, but not by a hell of a lot.
  16. Or I guess it was 3 "topical" episodes
  17. I don't think Rove has ever been very MAGA. That's not to say he's not a supporter of P2025/common gooder type stuff, I just don't think he likes the gross populism and the deviance from conservative political aims that Trump MAGA indulges.
  18. Becoming the most hated team in baseball fueled multiple key events and performances. It's quite the what-if to think about. Personally, I think it's possible this Astros extended run is not as great if Fiers keeps his mouth shut.
  19. It was. Good school they attended, very diverse group of friends. I did not hide them in an English enclave.
  20. Not Disney’s first rodeo https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-56022084.amp Gina Carano dropped from Mandalorian after 'abhorrent' posts They also cancelled Roseanne Barr’s show after her incendiary comments as well
  21. 9 years in a row if I'm not mistaken.
  22. Just want to express my gratitude for this thread this morning. Hope you all are well and having a good week. If not, this too shall pass.
  23. You sure people aren't saying that at IT? He'd do that kind of thing at BC, but when people there, and "here," and elsewhere were saying the things he took on. Usually someone like echeese.
  24. All he wanted was to live in a World where people are color blind and judged by their actions and content of their character…. and also pilots, congresswomen, judges, and First ladies are only white. Modern day MLK, IMO. At least people in the ‘60s admitted they thought others were inferior. You lie to yourself just to be able to sleep at night.
  25. I am normally in the Go for it camp, but this is a different situation. Offense is 28% on 3rd downs and 41% on 4th downs, so they have been bad in critical situations. Punter has been good. The defense has been excellent. You have to factor these things in. That and punt into the endzone comes out to the 20, so it is 20-25 yards. Give up the ball on the 40-45 yard line and you are 1 decent offensive play away from giving up pts. The defense gives up at least 10 yards on a drive 58% of the time this year. Even if the defense forces a 3 and out, you are flipping the field position game. Giving the ball to an offense that has 15% busted drive rate (0 or less yards) inside the 20. The situational book is calculated based on average offenses, that is not pertinent to Texas. If the offense improved, I would leave the dark side and jump back on the "go for it" train. I just do not see it right now.
