  1. Past hour
  2. Voting in Austin was so annoying. Half the time I didn't know if I was supposed to go the library or some damn church. They'd be staffed with random crusty volunteers to whom I'd have to show my drivers license after waiting in line for up to an hour. Then I'd have to use some unhygenic machine to vote, and when I was done voting I'd still wonder if I clicked on all the intended boxes. It's so much better in CO - ballot comes to my house. It gets dropped off inside a signed, auditable envelope at the nearby police hq parking lot. It's almost like in Texas they don't want citizens to vote.
  3. ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 890 9/9: Rarity: 25 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 Play at: https://immaculategrid.com/play
  4. #7 in all the major polls this week.
  5. Bob (eabod) Stoops about to get the band back together at UF.
  6. On rewatch I think the passing game will be fine. Wingo and Arch will start to gel eventually. They have left a bunch of meat on the bone so far. Livingstone is winning 1 on 1’s and I bet Lockett starts to make a run this year.
  7. it's like Czechoslovakia
  8. I don’t know the rigor of the ESPN FPI model, but if you sum up the percent chances, by conference, of a team in that conference making the playoffs, the SEC comes to about 4.5, the B1G at about 3.5, the ACC to about 1, the B12 to just a little over 1
  9. “Wulaw could fuck up a good queso. That cannot be topped.” Wulaw: “Hold my queso salsa!” …Wulaw starts a weekly game thread and starts to mid-game anxiety post on <checks notes> Sunday!
  10. Today and tomorrow look glorious. High 80's and 60's with low humidity. Enjoy these next 48 hours as much as possible before it warms back up a bit. Extended forecast is basically copy/paste starting Wednesday through the following weekend. High's in mid-90's, lows in low 70's, very little chance of rain.
  11. To get this thread back on track, we did it. My wife and daughter are safely in our new home in New York, while I close up shop here in Texas. My daughter Facetimed me really excited. She said she was at practice talking to her coach. Her coach was complaining about the drop in temperature and my daughter said, "You could always move to Texas". To which he coach responded, "Oh no. We like our women up here, thanks!". My daughter was beyond delighted. So she is finishing up her senior year of high school and then it's off to play college vball. Her high school is super excited that they got a D1 volleyball player dropped in their laps, and she is happy to be surrounded by liberal-minded people. It sucks to be down here alone. The wife and I have been having Facetime movie dates. For their sakes the move had to be made.
  12. You probably mean me. I said “almost zero” chance that those picks won’t come in the back third of the next two drafts. I didn’t say it was a lock, though. Injuries can quickly derail teams with playoff/championship aspirations. As things stand today, there doesn’t appear that there should be a whole lot of hopium expended on either those being any higher than 20 at best.
  13. Won't you think of the poor pitmasters, out on the tarmac late at night, putting their heart and soul into their craft?
  14. I think they're from Missouri. She's jailed in Kentucky. But we still can hope.
  15. While Star Wars obviously had a much wider audience than 2001, I doubt it would have been made without 2001 breaking ground by showing that big-budget Sci-Fi movies could be made and be profitable. By big budget, I mean as compared to the previous low-budget sci-fi films. Both 2001 and Star Wars had very comparable budgets, that while not considered big, were at least comparable to mainstream films of the time.
  16. Would you okay with Sydney Sweeney sliding into your bed, naked, every night as well? Dude already told you guys to pound sand on an alleged market-resetting offer. Quick, name the most successful and legendary coach to ever coach at Florida. Name another! Now try that with Ole Miss without being able to insert Kiffin’s name in the first or second slot.
  17. Our best receiver(13) is a JAG, so disappointing. Or so I was told by experts on this site.
  18. Is that her real voice, or is she doing a Larry the Cable Guy bit?
  19. They've shown tremendous restraint in not wasting resources on purly symbolic attacks. Rather, they find bold, strategic, military targets and let the audacity of the attack be thr symbolism. In the case of the new Flamingo, I suggest building up a good stock of them then hitting a volley of targets that were otherwise too distant to target. Let a whole buncha refineries, drone factories, etc way out in the hinterland all blow up at the same time.
  20. Id like to see our RBs actually rush for their first TD of the year
  21. Update - we pivoted completely and ended up at Aiko. Excellent meal. How do you guys compare it to the other upscale sushi joints in town?
  22. Good programs take advantage of years when they have a weak(ish) schedule and they win conference/national championships during those stretches. We can't seem to do that. We always peak when the competition is at its toughest. By the time we're really rolling and have all the pieces in place, we'll be playing the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles away.
  23. Side note - the simple Peter Millar uniforms worn by the Walker Cup guys looks so much better than the Ralph Lauren crap we'll see in the Ryder Cup.
  24. The poster I responded to said both picks were guaranteed to be in the 20s. Nothing is guaranteed, especially in the NFL. You made all that other stuff up I guess to justify coming on here and bragging about the Packers
  25. How much of the correlation might be linked to socioeconomic status? It would stand to reason that older parents would tend to have higher incomes, better health care, schools, etc., which would result in lesser cases of undiagnosed ASD, etc. Do the parents age studies control for that factor?
