2025 NHL Playoffs Thread - Let the madness begin!

Apologies for laugh reaction but something is wrong between his ears. He needs to use his third eye or put the rose in the front.[/Bull Durham] He’s psyched out -
While I’m actively rooting for his demise, I do concede that his death would likely push us closer than we’ve been in 150+ years to another civil war. The fact that neighborhood streets will feature BOTH fireworks and deep mourning will result in a powder keg ripe for conflict.

This and pretty much any article…

I think Premier in Tomball and I am certain Scrapyard in Spring/Woodlands sell beer. ^This. There's no policing it. A couple of our parents bring a community cooler in case the games are going really well or (more often) really poorly.

And when regular people can't afford toys in December, Fox News will explain to them that China is waging a war on Christmas as retaliation for the tariffs. And the fucking idiot brigade will believe it.

The movie rights to "Miracle Over the Atlantic" would be a massive bidding war.

The Russian nation is the same collection of shitbaggery they’ve always been.

It certainly would lend credence to the notion of a compassionate god.

same here. I am 15 years removed from our boys playing youth sports; but that blows my mind. I drink plenty, but I would not do it in those venues. I'm old( and respectful) though. Having had a few friends whose kids went on to play in college, after playing the select circuits growing up, I have witnessed it being a good experience for the kids; but holy shit there are some freaking psycho parents. That goes along with almost any other activities though too. I have a friend whose son is currently in that select age, can pitch and hit with power- and if other coaches find out he's available on a weekend, my buddy's phone is lighting up. I tease him that his boy needs to sign some NIL deals.

Yeah any turnaround would require some turnover on the board. You’d think the big investors would want to see change, and they’ll push for it? Or lol no?

His FUPA ensures he'll have a safe landing

Enough of the hypotheticals. I just want to know if Mansfield Dam ramps are going to be open so I can get to Carlos & Charlies via my Fountain boat.

No it's not.

I really like the idea of openings in the fuselage failing and him and any number of his sycophants being sucked out and free-falling to earth.

Fiero? Firebird?

It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is on TCM right now. It’s spectacular. The writing is fantastic. The cast is killer. Just awesome.

There's a house with a Trump flag near a convenience store I like to use. Today the Trump flag was gone. Replaced with a Jesus flag. This nation really is full of rubes, just waiting to be conned. I was amused. Those falling approval numbers aren't a fluke.

Yeah, it's because they're not a Texas thing. They were common across the entire US and especially in the Midwest and South reaching peak popularity in the 50s and 60s. They were still around but dying in popularity in the 70s and 80s. If you weren't regularly going to church socials in your childhood then you could have missed them entirely. They're actually derived from a very old style of dish called an aspic that has been popular in France and other European countries for centuries and remains an important regional dish in some places. It has a savory gelatin surrounding meat, fish, eggs, and/or vegetables. So if anything, congealed salads are an awful French foodway.

Booze sales at kid tournaments blows my mind, but I've seen it too.

Its actually strange to think about the scenario where him and a significant portion of the cabinet were flying with him and the plane fell out of the sky. There was a time where that would be a global catastrophe, having negative impact because of uncertainty etc. Now I feel like that kind of news would be received...differently both domestically and abroad.

Fair. Stupid rhetoric like I said.

My trip to nostalgia land was a can of devilled ham. Equally disappointed. I will still enjoy some sardines and saltines, however.
