  1. Past hour
  2. I remember when he was considered something of a charity take to keep his brother in the fold. Not terrible, just that we may not have had nearly as much interest had Neto not been such a prized recruit. Funny how things work out.
  3. Going to college used to be a Rumspringa for our young. Go out to the world for 4 years and be quasi-autonomous and independent. Go explore. Try on new ideas and new strategies, learn new things, stretch yourselves and experience things in a quasi-safe place. It typically has a beginning and an end, and you will be better, more well-rounded and thoughtful for the wear. Maybe some things get unlocked or perhaps you just get to validate and reinforce some things you held dear already. Whatever. The point is to actually engage in experience(s). In a digital world dominated by online, parasocial and social media relationships where life is experienced through screens (even a lot of classes via zoom, apparently), we've lost a lot of the experiential aspects of college I think. And with the lose of real life, physical experiences I think we've lost the critical mass aspects that now, in a sort of vicious cycle, make those experiences more risky and dangerous.
  4. This They are running pass rush stunts with 2 DLs and 6 DBs on the field... We should've been fucking gashing them with running plays.
  5. https://youtu.be/IsCcEE-vrIk it’s been a while.
  6. Never said it's the only thing, just that it's a part. As with most every social issue, it's a complex picture, many parts of which we aren't even close to understanding. For example, I think that the ubiquity of porn -- and graphic porn -- has a part to play. I've read things about young men's expectations of sex, and what it should be like, and what their partner should be like, that make my jaw drop. Yeah, if that's how you think it should be, I could see how the clash of your expectations and the reality of who willing partners might be creates some issues. And that's just one dimension of the problem. But as to the particular element I mentioned, as someone with a son (with peers and friends of both genders) from that generation, I've heard it first hand. In shorthand, the girls say out loud that guys who are Andrew Tate disciples (to use a shorthand for that ethos/approach) are an immediate no-go. And from the boy's perspective . . . NOT being one of those puts him a class ahead, and the pickings are easy. And yes, these are necessarily generalities, exceptions abound.
  7. I think early on Zina U. had two chances to make plays and both times got held (not blatant fuckery but still held). He was getting good pass rush out there from the get go. Already a big fan.
  8. Are you just making things up?
  9. The younger people killed tablecloths, cursive, printers and copiers, alcohol and sex Most powerful
  10. Love the flavors overall of their dishes but for me, a bit too salty. What a great local success story though.
  11. why can't i find these hangers for a reasonable price? you can get them 1 at a time on etsy for $20 each, but page after page of amazon listing and not a single one of these.
  12. Pass blocking yes, I disagree on run blocking though. Against most of the better teams on our schedule the last 4 years we've struggled to run the ball at even an average level
  13. Who’s the guy on the left…ARod??
  14. Reminds me. Umeozulu the Younger looks much better than expected.
  15. The footwork went from bad to worse. I think he’s got a ways to go.
  16. Sit one, .5 PPR... K. Coleman at NYJ Pickens v. NYG Ridley v. LAR Dobbins at Ind
  17. My brother said the same thing last year, about how none of the Dems identified themselves as Democrats on their signs or webpages. I figure it's one of their big "gotcha" things. But it seems it's about the same on the Republican side, they tend to use the word conservative more than republican on signs or websites. I guess somehow it's a play for that non-informed voter that keeps saying 'I don't vote for the party, but the candidate.'
  18. Questionable this week for Bama's home game against Wisconsin in which Bama is currently favored by 21.5 points: -WR Ryan Williams (concussion) -RB Jam Miller (shoulder) - Deboer said he will probably play this weekend. -DT Tim Keenan (Ankle/Tightrope Surgery) - unlikely -OLB Jah-Marien Latham (lowerl leg injury) - unlikely
  19. Yeah we should rape and pillage out of that look.
  20. Like the personnel we can throw out in this package
  21. White wings were pretty easy limits down in Fal this weekend. The birds were there if you did your part, hell even if you didn't. We don't have any sunflower or sesame but have plenty in the area and that really keeps them around. Wish the general didn't open on a Sunday.
