Texas Offseason 2025 - Archmania Is Upon Us
BurntOrange&White replied to Vertigo's topic in Football
Between this and his Johntay thread stuff, no you’re not. -
We're talking about bad food, not one of America's best ideas.

This is my experience exactly. Never really considered watching John Wick, but when my son convinced me we both were blown away. Keanu is perfect for this type of role. The John Wick universe is so well done.

Texas Baseball 2025 - The Schwining tradition starts here...

Who would be looking at conference record at that point? Answer: Nobody that matters -

For half a second, I was hopeful that that was about Hamilton, TX, which is one of my favorite little Texas towns that is overrun with gross political beliefs and bigotry -

Well, they are your parents.

It resets, you get up to two byes if you are great, one if you are good, if you are run of the mill shitty you have to battle the other bottoms to play the upper tier teams in the tourney. Also bubble teams are highly motivated to do well in the tournament, everyone else.. not so much.

I think load times are drastically improved, but yeah I know it's annoying to have to click through the link and/or see the static image vs being able to interact with the embed.
-
Pretty sure this has been gone over already but I’ll ask again…… does SEC tourney wins/losses count as conference wins/losses? Or do they quit counting at the end of conference play?

Shut up aggie

Elon Musk: Nazi traitor piece of shit [Confirmed]

Elon Musk on X: "It is an EXTREMELY BAD BREACH OF ETHICS that the @WSJ would publish a DELIBERATELY FALSE ARTICLE and fail to include an unequivocal denial beforehand by the Tesla board of directors!" / X -
I have no idea what the opportunity cost (other projects in your roadmap) is, but many of us would greatly appreciate you doing this. The UX is worse now.

My omission was not out of hate. It’s a great movie.

if it's that big of a deal I can focus on actually replacing the fully functional embeds with a surly hosted version that has video and can be interacted with to "show more" and have images you can save/copy paste into other apps etc.

Texas Women’s Basketball 2024-2025 - We SEC Ready
MuellerHorn replied to Pancho's topic in UT Sports
I agree this is all true. I laid that out in more detail on page 97. However, ideally, we'd have three or four of five players on the court be credible threats from distance at any given time. That may just be my basketball strategy bias, but it's where the game is nowadays - especially when shooting percentages for good three-point shooting guards are close to their overall fg percentage. It just makes statistical sense to create more looks from beyond the arc. Combine that with Texas' ability on the offensive glass, as well as typically winning the TO battle, and you can create more of a point spread shooting more threes. Again, I'm hopeful this is the direction Vic is looking given who has targeted in the portal this offseason. -

I agree. If that’s how they recognize the SEC champion then Im good with that. Not sure why I thought the tournament champion was considered the conference champ. -

Yeah. Job report could/should maybe move the market a little bit tomorrow one way or another. Wed closed above tech support and were ready to be off and running if today would have been flat, but instead MBS was down 20. Because it’s always worse when we are on the precipice of getting better. Fun stuff! -
Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: They Can't Keep Getting Away With This
Pato del Muerto replied to texifornia's topic in 🤫$9.95🤫
I wonder how much money they’ve spent on verbal commitments that end up elsewhere. or is it all inflated NIL promises now that don’t cost a dime? -
Super awesome, and thank you for doing it! (St. Andrew’s is the first pic and St. Michael’s has the freedom sign though. But you can mix them up and let your dates correct you.)

Being the best after a 30 game semi-round robin where you play 2/3 of the other teams thrice each is a much more rigorous way to demonstrate superiority than a quick 3-5 game tournament where half the teams aren’t trying very hard. -
Texas Rangers 2025: Pitching has been fire. Bats not so much.

Right? I mean it's not like these school shooters are doing something REALLY bad, like protesting outside of Tesla dealerships (which makes them terrorists).

Brown was noticeably better after taking the last 3 games of the season off, so having 6 days between games now is incredibly helpful. Tatum's bone bruise should be fully healed well before the next series. Hell, dude avg'd 36/10/6 w/ the injury. KP just gave us 27mpg. Not worried about him at all right now...although I do wince every time he goes down. Jrue is indeed a question mark. If he plays on Monday, that will be 12 days since his last game, so hopefully that helps w/ his hamstring.
