This is crazy.  Absolute insanity.

But on the bright side, it's a great opportunity to raid California for all their football and basketball recruits since they'll never have the opportunity to play in front a crowd.

that is fucking hilarious but Cali deserves what they get.

A 25-year-old Nevada man appears to be the first documented case of Covid-19 reinfection in the United States.

Genetic tests indicate the patient was infected with two different varieties of the virus, a team at the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine and the Nevada State Public Health Laboratory reported.

Quote

The patient was first diagnosed with coronavirus in April after he had a sore throat, cough, headache, nausea and diarrhea, the researchers wrote in a pre-print study posted Thursday. He got better around April 27, and he tested negative for the virus twice afterwards.

He continued to feel well for about a month. Then on May 31 he sought care for fever, headache, dizziness, cough, nausea and diarrhea. Five days later, he was hospitalized and required ongoing oxygen support. He was tested again for Covid-19 and the results were positive.

Quote

The Nevada researchers examined genetic material from both coronavirus specimens collected from the man. Their analysis suggests he had two distinct viral infections.

The pre-print study has not yet been peer-reviewed by a journal, but the researchers noted that the findings suggest humans can catch Covid-19 multiple times.

It's not the first case documented globally.

Earlier this week, Hong Kong researchers said they found the first documented case of coronavirus reinfection in a 33-year-old man. He tested positive for Covid-19 twice this year.

The pre-print study -- which the University of Hong Kong said on Monday has been accepted by the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases -- found that the man was reinfected with two different versions of the virus 142 days apart.

Dissident and rebellious in our country...those are the people that shoot shit up.  They're the ones you have to worry about because they bring assault rifles to peaceful gatherings.

In Germany, the dissidents and rebels get hung in the town square.  They're not the concern.  It's the ones that adhere to orders, practice the common practices, and follow central leadership.  They're the ones that take on continents.

It's the opposite of here in the United States.

It's when they all "fall in line" that you have to worry.  They're gonna have a really great 21st century over there.  I should add them to my family's potential "move list."

There's an even better video of people being idiots - there was some rally in New Hampshire yesterday or the day before, where a rally official came over the PA asking everybody to put on masks, to comply with state regulations, and the crowd started booing.  Needless to say, not many masks being worn..

Can't post it, because it would be considered CR, but yeah, this is where we are at.  Just as we are starting to bring things down to a manageable level, we gotta have idiots who don't believe in masks.

I think we all called this one.

The annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota drew hundreds of thousands of bikers to the small town earlier this month — despite coronavirus concerns. Now, about three weeks after the rally kicked off, the repercussions are starting to become clear. More than 100 cases of COVID-19 connected to the rally have been reported in at least eight states, the Associated Press reports.

So far, state health departments have reported 103 cases in South Dakota, Minnesota,Wisconsin, Nebraska, Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming and Washington, according to the AP.

Quote

While bikers ride in open air, the rally also attracts huge crowds of patrons to bars, stores and other businesses around Sturgis where coronavirus can spread more easily. Some safety measures, like sanitizing sidewalks, were put in place, but masks were not required, City of Sturgis Public Information Officer Christina Steele told CBS News via email ahead of the event.

They sanitized the fucking sidewalks, but no masks.

100 cases out of 100,000 bikers would be .1%.  Hardly an “outbreak”

It's only 100 that were ill enough to seek out treatment/testing, and that were contact-traced.

There's a lot more where those came from.

Unless you think it wasn't being spread at bars here in Texas.

And after 3 weeks you’d think there’d be a lot more cases if it was the mega-spread disaster that you’re implying.   Who’s to say they even got that shit in Sturgis?

in fact the article even says they can't say for sure that some of them are even sturgis related.

Serious question: how many people, worldwide, would have died from corona (died earlier than they would have, regardless of age or comorbidities) had no one locked down?

Im guessing it would easily be in the 10s of millions

Tree fiddy is the obvious answer

He’s expecting the last 20 weeks of the year to fall short of the death standard in that time frame compared to a normal year.

Is this phenomenon somehow only applicable to the US? Do you spend a lot of time or any time watching or reading fox news, breitbart, oann, epoch world times, or clay travis?

I get all my news from college football “writers” who confirm my bias.

Wait until you read Kirk Bohls’ reporting on the Israel-Palestine peace agreements.

100,000?  ...."According to the Department of Transportation, the seven-day total for the rally from Aug. 7 was 365,979 people, which is down just by 7.5% compared to last year at the same time."

We pretty much know most attendees were over 40, not in pristine physical shape and most likely hadnt sheltered in place the previous 6 months.. Some on here were certain this was going to be Spain and Italy combined. Instead 365.000 people from all over, came together with no social distancing  and produced 100 cases.

Yet you ran pretty hard with Stewie Mandel’s lie about the doctor the Big XII used to proceed with playing.

I used 100,000 to make the math really easy for all the end of days clan to understand.
