Daryl Hall Will Be 72 In October

Recommended Posts

72.  Holy shit.   I was thinking he was in his late 50's, perhaps. But a little off to say the least.

Live from Daryl's house is a great, great show.   If you've not seen, do so.

His catalog with John Oates is easy to celebrate.

Saw them at the Summit in '83. They're one of those bands where you go, " fuck I forgot about that one." You'll know every song.

So they're with BMG? I guess that means you get the first 12 episodes for the price of one, then when you forget to cancel the next one costs $40.

Random Friday evening bump for a H&O fix.   One of my favorite tunes of theirs but when Smokey Robinson climbs onboard we go to another level.

I love this show. Always pick something up.

"Hey, that is the intro to 'Modern Love!'"

I never liked Kenny Loggins back in his late 70s slick commercial pop radio days. But that was a surprisingly good show for me. Its a shame all of his hits weren't done the way they played on that show.

The season of Darryl's House they've bee playing repeatedly on AXS has been pretty disappointing. It must have been the weakest season of the franchise.

I had a GF drag me to a Hall and Oates show.  I had no idea DH was so tall and JO was such a fucking midget.

Great show though.  I've seen them a few times since.

Cocaine was a helluva drug.

My favorite part of these is where they are working through the song, before they do it.  Diane Birch is a great one (vocal horn part).  This is probably my favorite.
