  2. I would guess that majority of people under 50 are like me and don't answer the cell if I don't have the number saved. If it's important, leave a message. The olds in my office, who also happen to lap up fox news, will answer 20 spam calls in a row "HELLO, WHO IS THIS, BUT I THOUGHT MY CAR WARRANTY WAS GOOD THROUGH APRIL"

  3. satya freaking out AND a Giles recruiting whine session. I'd say to look up your Bingo cards for 2020 but those two have to be freebies already, right? I don't know if I can do another entire year of the Giles shit again. Coburn - Ossai - Jones - Graham - Ojomo - Mpagi - Warren - Carson - Sweat - Bimage - Chisolm It's fucking March. I may be missing someone but IDGAF. I wish we had a rainmaker that was also a great teacher at every coaching spot. We don't. No one does. Right now, we know what we have with Giles and at this point, the ire should be placed not solely on Giles but on Orlando, Herman, Carrington, Doane, Lewis, the DL analyst whose name escapes me, etc ... if it's not a team effort it isn't going to happen and WE all know that. The next time I hear a DL recruit talk about Orlando's involvement in his recruiting will be the first. So what I'm saying is that I am going to start negging the fuck out of every stupid motherfucker that comes in here and starts fucking whining about motherfucking Oscar Giles. Esp. in fucking March. WE ALREADY KNOW. EVERYONE knows.

  4. The president watches TV shows then tweets as if he's speaking directly to them. "Great show and good work today, Fox and Friends! Thank you!" Imagine if Jimmy Carter did that. "Great work, Laverne & Shirley! Wonderful representation of working class concerns. Lenny and Squiggy are creeps, though. Time to wash your hair and find some work, guys." Bill Clinton: "Solid work, Bone Zone 7. It was hard to believe she could've been his step mom, though. She was barely older than him. Still a good scene with two talented and well toned performers. Two curved erections up!"

  7. Keondre Coburn and Joseph Ossai with significant minutes in the UGA game was a big part of why the DL looked different than say the Okie Lite or Maryland game. Their talent, raw ability, strength, size and speed vs. their senior counterparts was clear and indicates a much more disruptive and talented DL in the future. This particular type of thing is why certain rankings (S&P for instance) way overvalue returning starters, etc ... Joseph Ossai is a clear upgrade over Breckyn Hager, for instance.

  9. This is the heavy ass pottery flower with 100 sharp as fuck dagger petals that my wife was going to hang into some drywall above my daughter's headboard. With a nail. No anchor of any sort. I figure I saved myself a couple hundred in ER bills to treat facial lacerations by intervening.

  11. I became one in 2011. When I was a kid, I was treated at the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas for Legg-Perthes disease. It was about a 4 year treatment process to get corrected, mostly via physical therapy (never had a surgery) but was oftentimes extraordinarily painful. As I got older, I always said "I'd pay back the man that helped me get through it". A bunch of my buddies were already Masons, and with quick research I realized that the Scottish Rite was a Masonic Body. So I went through my degrees, and joined both the Shrine and Scottish Rite. I've been able to do a ton a volunteer work through both organizations to directly aid kids needing various forms of orthopedic and burn procedures. We definitely have a good time while doing it, but hearing the stories of those you've directly helped is absolutely amazing.

  13. I honestly don't get the "lack of substance" attacks on Beto. He had plenty of well-thought out policy proposals during his Senate campaign, most important to me a multipronged structural reform proposal. Campaign finance reform was at the center of that. Theres a reason End Citizens United made him their first Senate endorsement. He doesn't make broad policy proposals the centerpiece of his campaign messagaging like Warren but it doesn't mean he does not have them or is not capable of digging into policy. His campaign is just built around the positivity message. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

  17. Dude. This doesn’t answer my argument at all. This is a stupid, losing argument you’re advancing. Our defense wasn’t that good this year due to lack of depth and talent. Our defense got killed in like half it’s game this year. Do you not think we could’ve used better DL as Ok St was getting 8 yards very time they ran outside zone at Hager? Recruiting rankings matter, and on-field team performance suffered because we didn’t have enough talent, including at DL. And our peformance this year had nothing to do with recruiting strategy because the guys that played at DL weren’t recruited by this staff. this whole idea of traits the staff wants and doing well at the position is nonsense. This staff wanted Leal more than almost any recruit. They lost him. They want Broughton, Collins, Princely, and Dorbah. It’s a clear top 4. Missing these guys would not be good. It’s that simple. it doesn’t matter if they do an admirable job coaching up lesser players. It would still be better for our team’s performance to get the better players. Your trust the coaches argument is completely inapposite with this staff missing its top targets, which you also say is fine. If you trust the coaches evaluation and talent development, then you should want them to get their top targets and realize it’s not a good sign if they miss. We’re talking about championship-level teams in the next few years. Deficinces in talent like this are the difference between winning 10 games but losing your conference vs. winning the conference and possibly the playoff. This shit matters and your arguments as to why it doesn’t are either flat out wrong (defense performed well this year) or logically incoherent (trust the coaches but don’t care when they miss the guys they want most).

  18. We just started Breckyn Hager at DE for a whole fucking season and we were lucky all our DL stayed healthy. We were low on depth and talent last year. Our starting line next year may end up being Roach, Wilbon, Graham. That’s a fucking meh DL at best. I know a lot of people like Roach but he wasn’t good as a DL in 2017, and I’m not sure he’ll be all that great this year. His best attribute is his fluidity, which shows at LB/B-backer, but no so much at DL. He’s not all that explosive and he’s gonna have to show he can carry the 290 or so he’s been rumored to be at without losing athleticism like he did in 2017. Graham has always been somewhat of a looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane, and Wilbon is just average. He won’t get moved a ton, but he won’t make many big plays either. A guy like Leal might start on this team in 2019. We need talent in the DL. We don’t have much of it, and the talent we do have is young and unproven. This is why shit like this and Scholz’s top 3 class stuff is so dumb. Recruiting is a leading indicator. You’re not gonna see it play out on the field until it’s too late and then those same folks who said we should shut up will be whining about our DL performance. Yeah but it was already too late at that point. I was hoping Herman would learn and do this proactively for 2020. It does seem that he’s been proactive in recruiting Broughton himself, but it doesn’t appear he’s assigned guys to help Giles with the other DL. I’m not sure how the aggy negative recruiting didn’t lose its power with the year Charles just had. He had like 9.5 sacks and 18 TFL. That shows a DL in this scheme can put up numbers. Not to mention back to back conference defensive linemen of the year. Regarldess, him getting drafted high and before any of the aggy DL would definitely seem to help.

  19. "The poll of 1,000 registered voters, taken by landline and cell phone Wednesday through Sunday, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points." This is why I have a tough time believing the 'findings' of these polls. First off, only olds have landlines, or would be willing to answer a poll on their Jitterbug mobile, so the data is totally skewed from the get go. Hell, the two people they quote in the article are in their 60's

  25. Are you still going on with this naive logic? Everyone here likes the macro level trends. We still have weaknesses in particular aspects of our recruiting approach. These are not mutually exclusive. If we recruited our entire classes as well as we recruited DL, we wouldn't have top 3 classes back to back.

I'd never seriously considering adding another nice watch to the 203 Arktis she got me several years ago, but she decided that our two boys need at least one watch each when I am dead. Yes, dear.

  31. Well I guess I've been doing it wrong for 57 years. I am a strong conservative, I am also a Christian, but I guess I'm goofing it up. I have no hatred towards anyone, nor do I feel the need to commit violence against anyone, much less any particular group of people. Even after reading multiple, multiple posts throughout this board and the old board denigrating Christianity I refuse to be offended or angered by it. To tell the truth I actually pray for those who are not Christian and insist on saying hateful ugly things. I guess I'm really going to have to work on myself since I as a Christian I'm not what people expect me to be nor what they claimed me to be.
