I think there are several solid deals avail.

4TB Toshiba USB hard drive for $79.99      best price I can see from legit sellers is $98

Gillette3  12 pack of Razor refills $9.99    best I can see for those is 8 for $18 or 12 for $25 from non-sketchy places

Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Canceling Overhead Headphones with Mic & $25 AMZN gift card for $298  These are on most of the Top 10 best wireless headset lists for zoom calls in 2020. Im seeing them at $299 almost everywhere else. But add in the gift card and its now a $273 deal.

Toshiba 55" 4k Amazon Fire Tv for $299.99 This model type goes on sale pretty often, but usually its $319.99 on sale. If you want the generic Manufacturer you can get the generic brand 55" 4k smart TV for $290

and for the insta pot folks...  3Quart Ultra Instant-Pot 10-n-1 for $49.99    best I can see are the 7n1 versions at target for same price.

If you're a data hoarder, they've got 10TB WD Red Pro drives on sale for $200 after tax

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083JXTH5L

They're CMR and have a 3 year warranty. Fuck WD's scummy business practices, but these are going in my NAS lol

Wow, they actually advertise them as CMR, and you didn't have to go prowling some other website to figure out if they were SMR or CMR.

Fwiw, the 10TB+ drives were never SMR. But yeah they ruined all of the trust they'd built up over the years with that single stunt

ring 3 for $100 (see duck's above post).  blink indoor camera for $16 after additional $10 off from ordering on alexa.

Adding that the ring 3 plus is 120 using Alexa, and some lower spec Ring is 60 but no extra for Alexa.

Got a Ring Video Doorbell + Echo Dot for $70. But ships in 7-9 weeks, right before Christmas...

Need this because the architect put 3 garage doors but no windows on the first floor.

Somehow we ended up with 3 dots, 5 echo shows, and 2 blink mini cams for free or virtually free with other Amazon owned product purchases. Jeff Bezos must really be wanting to listen to every room in the house, not just the kitchen anymore.

@atomheartbevo just got my fat stack of HDD's - any recommendations on a plex box? I'm split between getting a synology DS 920+ and just building my own box. The synology software is nice though and it's nice not to be my own IT guy lol

can't you just get porn free from the internets?

real data hoarders shuck.

Lol the last plex server my buddies and I built used shucked drives that kept failing every couple of years. Turns out consumer drives aren't usually engineered to spin 24/7

These Amazon Prime day days are absolute trash. So this year me upgrading my computer and Prime day deals ended up coinciding with one another. About 6 weeks ago I built out my list of computer parts and priced them. About 4 weeks ago I noticed the price of all of my parts going up. Every week they went up significantly until today where I saw they were "discounted" back to their original price of 6 weeks ago. In the case of my RAM its still actually 25% higher than it was. I ended up losing $30 by waiting and not pulling the trigger 6 weeks ago. Ive read this is a common practice to jack up prices in the weeks leading up to black friday or prime day but I guess I finally got to see it first hand. The moral here is to buy your shit about 6-8 weeks before major shopping "deal days" OR dont buy your shit starting about a month before major deal days.

yeah RAM prices have just been on a rising trend.  I checked eBay for some used so-dimms and it is absurd what eBay prices are as well.

Yeah, but look at it this way.  By buying today, you "save" the 40% increase over the next 6 months...
