And you know we're going to be barraged by Trump and his cronies with "the Fake News is the enemy of the American People" at least every week from here for the next decade because they, for some odd reason, thought that he was acting like a foreign agent.  He's going to take advantage of the Barr summary to do his damnedest to destroy the 4th estate forever.

Well to be fair, that was going to happen regardless of what was in the report. And would have happened had there never been an investigation.

If CNBC factually reports that last month was the largest budget deficit in American history, they have become the enemy of the people in Trump's eyes.

Trump has already admitted as much, negative news equals fake news equals enemy of the people.

The dossier was used to bolster a fraudulent FISA application to monitor Carter Page.

Is there evidence of this or are you being sarcastic? How can a FISA application be fraudulent? I know this is parroted in conservative media, but any evidence to support this explosive claim?

Fair enough.  My fear is that some folks beyond the fringe will start believing it because, "By gosh, they were going on and on about the Mueller investigation, and then Mueller completely exonerated him."  The longer the Barr letter hangs out there without the full Mueller report being made available, the more folks may just tune out legitimate news media altogether.

"WASHINGTON IS CORRUPT!" is not something mainstream voters need reminding. They know.

Give them issues to care about. Give them a reason to even care whether or not Washington is cleaned up.

How about give them a reason to believe it CAN be cleaned up.

Dems can put all the legislation you want before the GOP Senate and it will be DOA.

Alternatively, Dems can bring evidence of Trump's abuses and criminality before the American people, make 21 GOP Senators up for re-election defend Trump in 2020, and take the Senate back.  Then go to work.  It's really not a choice.

Once Hillary is arrested I’m sure everyone will be paying attention again.

There was nothing fraudulent about the FISA application.  This is just more of the same tinfoil conspiracy bullshit.  I think the application had pizza sauce on it, though.

Possible. But people are already so entrenched in their camps when it comes to news. Fox doesn't lose any viewers after their Clinton email scandal, Benghazi, Uranium One, Clinton Foundation, Seth Rich, etc. conspiracy theories don't pan out. Doubt the other channels will lose any viewers from their camps over this either.

The FBI has already set the precedent here with Hilary. Not sure why they wouldn't just apply the same standard to this investigation.

"FBI Releases Documents in Hillary Clinton E-Mail Investigation

Today the FBI is releasing a summary of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s July 2, 2016 interview with the FBI concerning allegations that classified information was improperly stored or transmitted on a personal e-mail server she used during her tenure. We also are releasing a factual summary of the FBI’s investigation into this matter. We are making these materials available to the public in the interest of transparency and in response to numerous Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Appropriate redactions have been made for classified information or other material exempt from disclosure under FOIA. Additional information related to this investigation that the FBI releases in the future will be placed on The Vault, the FBI’s electronic FOIA library."

We don't know how long the report is yet right?  If we are assuming hundreds of pages (or more), does it not seem that Barr is quite the speed reader and analyst?  Assuming Mueller didn't give him the Cliff's Notes version of it.

He also said he looked forward to sitting down with Mueller. Which he never did. He also said he would release his tax returns. Which he never did.

He also said we were pulling out Syria.  Getting rid of sanctions on North Korea because Kim's a nice guy.  And that no one respects women more than  him.

LOL at Brennan being on there regarding his comments about Trump's press conference with Putin where he took Putin's side over his own IC community. I'm not sure how that is related to Mueller's report, that actually happened, it's on video and it was treasonous behavior. And to be fair Trump did come out days later to say he misspoke.  I guess I shouldn't expect much intellectual consistency these days from anybody.

So now the state is dictating to the press who they can interview and what boundaries should otherwise be put in place.  Totes norms.

Yeah, it's completely out of line to ask that the media provide factual information, as well as have sources and evidence to back up their bogus claims.

But yeah, we should totally just believe what the media tells us cause...reasons.  Journalistic integrity be damned.

With Mueller Done, WSJ Urges "Probe The Real Scandal"

Just hours after reports that Rep. Devin Nunes will refer criminal charges against Clinton operatives & high-level FBI & DOJ officials for perpetuating the Russiagate hoax for over three years, The Wall Street Journal's outspoken voice of reason, Kimberley Strassel, stresses that Americans deserve a full accounting of the missteps of Comey and the FBI.

No, the state is doing the job the media is supposed to be doing.  Informing the public which politicians are full of shit.  The media only does this when it's a Republican politician.  Three weeks ago John Brennon went on MSNBC and claimed he had information that Mueller would indict Trump as part of his report.  Where is anyone in the media putting his feet to the fire now?  How many days will it be before MSNBC is using him as an authority on anything or as a reliable source for another load of bullshit they try to peddle?

Sorry, I don't bother with media that puts their own spin on things.  Don't do Fox, CNN, MSNCB, etc.  I stick to Reuters.
