Tell you what, when I see a Fox News Town Hall involving Jeff Sessions, I will be sure to call it a crock of shit too.

1. Not every NeoNazi is a Trump supporter. Were you to try and find evidence for this, you would find none.

2. Trump denounced Neonazis, here's the transcript. What the MSM was outraged about was that he condemned the antifa people as well, and so they reported the falsehood a thousand times until it became "truth". He repeatedly condemned neonazis, it's right there in the transcript.

3. Trump isn't the least bit an antisemite, and again you have no evidence. He's extremely popular in Israel for all his pro Israel policies, and his grandkids are being raised jewish with his approval.

Captain, how do you feel about these lies? Do you condemn them?

What percentage of neo nazis would you guess are Trump supporters, in your best estimation?

Why is a Town Hall any different than Trump calling in to Fox and Friends?

Anyone who thinks the FISA warrant issue is going to go anywhere is completely ignorant as to how easy warrants are to obtain and even more specifically, how hard it is to prove they were wrongfully obtained. It’s a smokescreen non issue.

Barr should resign over his spying comment alone, along with his complete lie of omission to congress over the mueller letter.

He wont though, because he’s got to get paid. And he will get paid and when he does, he should be criminally prosecuted.

If that is the case, then technically the only person culpable would be an unnamed FISA judge. They are the ultimate arbiter as to wether or not the justification is "proper".

An American citizen who happened to be running for president. Opposing the president. Who just happened to be hated by those put in charge of investigating him. Then they tried to hide the bias.

If we are talking about the Carter Page PHD FISA warrant, then there will need to be 4 judges put in jail. I’m sure they are already in jail though and the FBI has already been shutdown as a result of the devastating Nunez Memo!!?!?

Serious question. Why are people still bringing up FISA abuses and “being spied on?” Didn’t we all live through the Nunez and Gowdy stupid train when the GOP had the house? What am I missing?

They were so opposed to Donald Trump becoming president they kept the investigation under wraps until after he got elected.

Yes, Donald suffered greatly in the first two years of his Presidency when the Republicans controlled the House, the Senate, SCOTUS and the Executive branch.  Woe is Trump.

Great read from Esquire:

Mitch McConnell's Trump Defense Strategy Is Proof the Republican Party Is an Authoritarian Outfit…The president is destroying any institution of democracy that could provide a check on his power, and Republicans in Congress are helping him.”

"The sad fact of the matter is that the Republican Party in Congress has abandoned all pretense of performing its constitutional duties, choosing instead to fall in lockstep behind a leader who engages in daily attempts to undermine or destroy the institutions of democracy that might serve as a check on his power, and who has embraced political violence from the rally podium. Now he's musing about getting his term extended for reasons just as fabricated as those he used to deploy active-duty troops on U.S. soil.  It's not really that complicated what's happening here. The United States has an authoritarian strongman for a president, and he has broken the law by obstructing an investigation into himself and his associates-and, likely, by attempting to monetize his office through The Great American Heist. At the very least, he has abused his power as an official of the public trust and betrayed his oath to defend the Constitution. He will continue to destroy the republic by a thousand cuts until he is removed, and his allies in the Republican Party will help him. The only question is whether those with any allegiance to the republic can grasp this fully, and before it's too late."

Probably some cause and effect switched there.  Many watch Fox not for news but to get the argument for the side they already believe.  So they watch Fox because they think the Mueller report clears Trump, and so forth, instead of the other way around.

After catching up on the last several pages, I've come to the conclusion that those of us who passionately oppose Trump, like myself, need to tighten up our language in criticizing Trump and his supporters. While we may find common cause with certain political groups on specific policies, we also need to recognize that there are various shades of ideologies.

For example, I don't believe the interests of the American public are best served by an unfettered, laissez-faire, unregulated free market due to the tendency of capitalism to drift toward monopolies/oligopolies and also think that certain services would best be provided as a public good (education, healthcare, environmental protection). In my opinion, those beliefs don't make me a socialist, per se, but one who thinks a mixed market economy, supported by a strong safety net for protecting citizens and entrepreneurs, is the best method of achieving the American Dream.

Having said that, I also don't agree that Trump and all his supporters are neo-Nazis. If I were to pigeonhole him, I'd say that our president is 1) an isolationist at heart with strong penchants toward 2) white nationalism and 3) authoritarianism and, therefore, often finds common cause with groups who support those three ideologies.

Let's try to be more precise in our criticisms of this orange-haired buffoon and the various despicable political groups who support him.

Good post.  Except his white nationalism and authoritarianism are really simpler.  It's Me-ism, he just happens to be white.  If it isn't what he thinks (at that precise moment) it's bad, wrong, Bigly bad and wrong.  And he isn't bothered with that complexity of holdng two inconsistent thoughts in his head simultaneously.  He has tons of inconsistent thoughts, but can't hold two at any given time, consistent or inconsistent.

If not "collusion," how would you categorize the actions and intentions behind "expecting help, seeking help, asking for help, knowing that help is happening, assisting that help, and capitalizing on that help?" Genuinely curious what descriptor you'd choose.

seems like a lot.

More than 370 former federal prosecutors who worked in Republican and Democratic administrations have signed on to a statement asserting special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s findings would have produced obstruction charges against President Trump — if not for the office he held.

“We emphasize that these are not matters of close professional judgment,” they added. “Of course, there are potential defenses or arguments that could be raised in response to an indictment of the nature we describe here . . . But, to look at these facts and say that a prosecutor could not probably sustain a conviction for obstruction of justice — the standard set out in Principles of Federal Prosecution — runs counter to logic and our experience.”

So now it's up to 700 former federal prosecutors who have served under both Republican and Democrat administrations that have Trump Derangement Syndrome. You would think a report that "totally exonerates" the president while simultaneously being "total bullshit" would be the end of this witch hunt, but apparently these guys really hate Trump. Very unfair.

This is where the hysteria became counterproductive.  Across a variety of media outlets in the mainstream, "Trump Russia Collusion" was built up into a grand coordinated conspiracy revolving around everything from brokerage rights, to coordinated micro targeting and content delivery, to the Trump campaign straight up funding and organizing the hacking efforts under the control of the Kremlin.  This is not Mensch shit, this is the shit that was trafficked every fucking night on MSNBC and CNN, with shit heads like Clapper and Brennan on the payroll promising the viewers an insider perspective and a final barrage of indictments that catch up Trump family and all the treasonous collaborators. This shit was built up in a way to set expectations of extreme malfeasance that had an extremely small probability of being proved up. It played out in media, it played out on this very thread, and there are people here who are still working through their stages of grief over it. They set up a let down. The expectations so high such that the end result, a buffoon narcissist surrounded by some corrupt operators and a bunch of bumbling amateurs trying to work any number of self-serving angles w/ort to the consequence or potential implications instead of working through the right established protocols and screens, just doesn't resonate with the same impact that it would have without all the noise that was created.  People have tuned out, literally. Viewership is down.  And dipshits like Hugo who gassed this fucking place out for 2+ years ask "Who is an honest broker of information in your view?" without a single sense of self-awareness.
